This might seem like a weird topic, but the sun in game is crazy bright. I mean, the unrealistic godrays are pretty bad on their own, but combined with a sun that's brighter than the flash-lights in BF3 - if you can believe that - it becomes a pain to play. This isn't a problem for the most part, but when you happen to have the sun shining in your face and you're in a firefight, this is very very frustrating. No it's not realistic, no the sun doesn't shine that bright - I can confirm, I've been outside. Please, just tone it down a little bit, it was good in the mod. And give us the option to disable godrays.

Sun isn't always going supernova. It's dependant on weather and time of day. Sometimes when it's high noon, yeah the sun's ok, but other times. nope -

I don't know how many thousands of lines of code you need to tone down the brightness... Must be an ungodly amount of work. Inb4 alpha droolers show up. -
Crash sites should be dynamic like on the DayZero and Vanilla servers currently. They're also usually bugged, meaning weapons don't spawn on them.

Why are they still in the game? Random sounds of opening cans, loading ammo, and random sounds buildings... Only sounds apart from wind and birds chirping should be player made! EDIT: To make it clearer, I don't mean the actual sounds of reloading, but the sound file being RANDOMLY played regardless of situation.

Umm, haven't used the AKM yet but the M4 has a stupendous spread, so out of the two I'd say the AKM would be a better choice - though I haven't used it. I like the SKS but having something mag loaded would be much better, especially since you don't need to open inventory every time you want to reload.

TBH crossbow isn't that good, but if you've got the bolts (super rare for some reason), keep it bro. If you like it, no point switching it out, but weapons like the SKS would be more effective.

So... Why does my character have Parkinson's all of a sudden? Weapon sway is can't even be classified as sway anymore. It's just twitching. Yeah I want proper sway in the game - dispersion removed/tweaked - but this isn't how you do sway. -

Ok people, I know this might be a little controversial especially for server owners but hear me out. I think that all of the hive connected servers should be more strict regarding their server settings. What I mean by that is: mandatory 2 hour restarts - there's too many servers with shitty restarts times that are simply too laggy due to the server having 6 hour restartmandatory server restart warnings 5 minutes prior to restart - for some fucking reason a lot of servers simply say "server restarts every X hours without warning" fuck YOU shitty server admin dickheadFORCED - yes 100% cereal - 24h clock. You can have time of day on x3 speed but god damnit you're going to have nights in your server. I can't find one server that does nights and is populated. If you want 24h day maps play Wasteland or CoD. These simple additions would make the servers so much better and actually force noobs into playing during night time - something that a lot of people avoid altogether without having even experienced it! Thoughts? -

Yes ideally 6 hour restarts would be perfect. However, at the moment, the game takes a significant performance dive after an hour or two without restart. My only reason for uniform restarts is to keep every server running smoothly. I really don't see why people are so against night servers... dafuq? -
I agree with Darth and @Ether: I think while the player made sounds should be fixed, the random ambient noises - bush rustling, twig breaking, fence clinging - should be caused by other players ONLY. This will increase the tension when you're sneaking through a town and every door you open has a chance to creak, alerting people to your position. Also to people saying it's ALPHA LOL... I know, but if you don't report things in ALPHA it'll never get fixed.

People would play at night if the day cycle was sped up. The only reason why people got fed up with night in the mod was that when they got back from work they would only play DayZ during night time - which was pitch black btw in the mod. There's too many pussies in DayZ. -

It's pretty dark but I can always see outlines of trees, buildings rocks etc. You can still navigste around, however, mod was so much worse lol. Pitch black... Yup you're spot on. You could only see the sky and outlines of treetops... -

Ok, I know light clips through walls, however, for the most part the night experience is actually amazing. Completely different to playing during the day. Especially since not very many people risk using a torch! I don't buy this excuse mate. If you're gonna say it's too dark... C'mon. You ain't played the mod or something? xD -

I 100% respect that, that's why I think admins should have more power regarding banning cheaters etc. However, I do not think that a public hive server should be allowed to operate as 24/7 day. Those servers are cancerous and before this crap was introduced you could actually have an enjoyable session spanning afternoon to dusk to night - depends how long you've played. -
