You're basically debating with a brick wall, semipr0. It's kind of pointless at this point. -

I'm also curious what's going on here. The popular live streamers are still decked out in their gear still. -

We're not talking about some discrete/hidden "backdoor". We're talking about easily cheating the exact same way you can in ArmA 2. People were injecting scripts the exact same way they had been in ArmA 2 hours after the release of DayZ. Visit any active cheat forum. I obviously can't link/show you what I mean. Bear in mind... the clients ability to dictate the server with a scripting language was specifically advertised to have been resolved. So in way, yeah, they did lie. -

I'm sorry this is by far the dumbest post I've read in the history of these forums and that is saying a lot. Look, I get it, you're not a programmer, you're the game designer. You come up with some solid ideas. But fucking hell man what on god's earth are you talking about? -

What are you trying to say? That because other companies are also making rubbish mistakes that it's okay for other companies to as well? This is kind of WHY every company is labeling EVERYTHING as "early access". I want someone here to tell me why any game developer wouldn't want to label their game as early access. It boosts sales. It boosts customer satisfaction. The reality is that "early access" has zero meaning at this point, and neither does "indie" when a game made by a company with 200 employees can label their game as such simply because they are their own publisher. -

Would you care to comment on the content of my post or is no one capable of anything other than ad hominem & strawmans? -

Why is this consistently the auto response to any statement that isn't nonsensical? You don't need to work for Bohemia to comment on software standards. -

Right, so instead of implementing a "MMO framework" your plan was to "leave it as is" and slowly plug holes under the pretense/shield of "it's Alpha!". Yeah, nah. I loved the mod, I had great hopes for this game last year but I'm glad I didn't buy nor will I likely ever, especially if this "Alpha" is expected to last up to a year. Trial & error isn't how you write server software. Cheers. -
The majority of players agree but the vocal minority defense team on this forum is going to flame and troll this thread until it dies or is removed.
-
Agreed. They said things like ESP, Aimbot, etc. would be possible, like all games. They did say, though, that because the game is server sided now that spawning vehicles, objects, etc wouldn't be possible. It's a big relief to know that ArmA scripts are a thing of the past.
-
When can we expect vehicles to in the game?
lazy2guns replied to code_man313's topic in General Discussion
Thankfully ArmA 2 script injecting is the same as it ever was, so vehicles are actually in the game already. -
The next stage of your denial will be to say that videos are fake and just edited in adobe after effects.
-
I'm going have to agree with AlcApwn, here. Rocket stated that ArmA script injection "just wouldn't be possible" because they were "disabling that functionality from the client". Yet, in DayZ SA, you can still run all of the same ArmA scripts on the client it carries through the server. There was no C/C++ rewriting and nothing (major?) changed in the engine. They tried to mime what other modders did with ArmA 2 to prevent client scripts... and then failed to even do that much. There is no client-server architecture and the game is not written like a MMO. Heck, the server still sends the whole map information to your client when you first log in, but hey, I can't show you proof of that because that's against the rules.
-
That didn't happen, though. Also, I showed screenshots of hacking and scripting, both.
-
The mods specifically write "please do not post screenshots of hacks" and now every other post is "no one is hacking". What the hell are we suppose to do? We can't talk about the problem because we can't establish that it IS a problem.
-
Why is this trolling not deleted/moderated? Seriously, mods?
-
Hurr, I linked to imgur.com and nothing else. A screenshot of an ESP hacker with no links.
-
Yes and they're deleting screenshots/videos of it.
-
First of all, I showed a picture of an ESP hack that also had the capacity to aimbot, etc. Second, I did not link to a hacking website, that's a straight lie.
-
My biggest issue is that many people have specifically stated "NO ONE IS HACKING", and then when you post a screenshot of someone hacking it's literally deleted.
