Is it not possible to add water to the pot or any of the vegetables to make soap or whatever maybe adding water will stop it burning, other wise what advantage does a pot have over a campfire. Just a thought. Oh and nice job :beans:

Before they fixed the melee sounds I used to wait till the paranoia was high such as when looting an air field then punch the wall right next to my friends which would sound just like bullet impacts, sending my friends in to a fit of panic. Now a days I just like to bag or cuff them when they go afk for bios

I would look for a quad core cpu and gtx 460 graphics card on ebay so you can get better experience playing Dayz, You could pick both up for around £80 total and would probably at least double your current rigs performance extra ram would be a good too if you can. Just a cheap upgrade option for you, all the best to your cousin.

Well I'm hoping now they have a bigger dev team we will maybe see less frequent but larger and more polished patchs at least that's what I'm hoping the reason is for the drop off in patch updates, that being said DH seems to of been very quite lately :huh:

I would go with replacing the heat compound and see if you can find some after market fans with higher airflow if you have to stick with a laptop.

Cheap solution that may help is a laptop cooler ( something like this ) amusing your not already using one, Other that if you have already opened the case and cleaned all the heat sinks properly as someone above suggested turn you graphics down. I personally think PC gaming on laptops is always going to be problematic and would avoid it.

If your convinced it's a heating issue and you have checked all the heat sink fins under the fans for dust then like the guys have said u might need to freshen up your heat compound, do you monitor your GPU & CPU temps at all ? if so might be worth reporting them area. As a quick test have you tried running the game with the case open ?

He's always said he wants to go and start his developing company when Dayz is done and at the earliest that's a year away..... this is old news blown out of proportion.

1,500,000k = 1.5gb of ram which is more then normal for game to be using. If your game is crashing consistently I would be more inclined to check your hardware for problems, a bad sector in your ram could will be one possible problem. Try running memtest and see if you have any issues. This is assuming you have already tried the usual fix's such as updating your drivers and such.

Just click the time column at the top server list to put the server times in order look for times around 07:00 - 18:00 these should be daytime, and maybe add some to your favorites list. A pc upgrade is always a good.

Dean hall has said the game is currently about 20% complete for what he has in mind and that he has plan's for new projects once he's done with dayz, So will that mean the game is then finished or will the reigns be handed over for more development is the question, my thoughts are yes.
