Maybe your gamma and brightness are all of the way down or something? Just join a server that says 30+ of 40 anf if it looks night something is wrong

Just a tip to new players. When somebody trys to hold you up, don't do something stupid if you want to live. Dont charge the guy with an axe, a crowbar, or your fists. There are circumstances where this when this is a good idea and when it is a bad idea. It is a bad idea if the guy already sees you and has his gun pointed at you. It is also a bad idea if there is more than one person holding you up. It is a good idea if the person is very close too you. If you already have your axe out, use it, but if you don't, the quickest way to get them down is with your fists. You should also knock the guy out if he has a mosin and is distracted. If he has an m4 you will probably end up dead either way. The point of this thread is to inform people that you shouldn't just charge a guy as soon as you see him. You should think it through and do it in the quickest easiest way. I'm tired of having people try to pull out an axe or something stupid like that when being held up, and just charging me when I was going to let them go anyway. Also don't be that guy who says "what's the point he's going to kill me anyway" because there's still a chance there for you to be set free!

So totoday me and some other guys were holding up a freshspawn in the office building of elektro. The original plan was to take him In the building, question him, then give him water and send him on his way. We all made an agreement to not kill any freshspawns while we were there. So we brough him into the building and asked him his name. This is when he started being a little shady. First he asked us why we wanted to know, then we figured out his clan tag matched another guy in the game's clan tag. We began to interrigate him on that, and he denied knowong where the guy was, but also said he wasn't in elektro with us. He refused to tell us what we wanted, so we ended up holding thr guy hostage for over an hour. We saw multiple people outside, and this interupted us a lot. He didn't log and sat through all of this. In the end after the extremely long wait, we were forced to exicute the hostage because he wasn't answering our questions and was lying, and our building had been breached by 2-3 hostiles, which killed all but two of us. After the exent it looked like some sort ofmassacre had taken place, with bodies lying everywhere.

Fact is we couldn't have walked away. We were in elektro dude. Have you ever been In elektro on a full server?

Some of these sound hilarious. I never played the mod so Ive never experienced many of these. Im a little worried that they wont add helicopters and planes though.

When I die, im usually re-geared completely in under 30 minutes. You need to learn how to play the game before you jump to conclusions about it.

Play with your settungs till you're satisfied with a balance of fps and graphics. I'd suggest doing your tests in a bigger city though, because they cause huge framerate drops.

So I've been researching on what I can use to record playing dayz. I've tried fraps, but realized it wasn't free. What do you guys use to record? It needs to be free (limitless for record time and no trials or anything like that).

Some servers don't have their instance id's set correctly, so they operate on different fragments of the database.

I started laughing out loud when I noticed this.

Its cause none of the servers are resetting. If I understand correctly, they are waiting for the day/night cycle to get back to day before resetting them again.

Its probably just a coincidence and you just lost connection at the same time. Edit: I ran back to my body and looted it after dying. It worked perfectly fine.

I honestly think that the defib should be able to save people from death. They get shot and they die, but some friends come and revive him with a blood bag and a defibrillator. This could get slightly out of hand if not created by the devs correctly though.

If I transfer back and forth, will I lose my character, or do I have a different character for each build?
