  1. Just something I created. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/553311_10100817470933633_370258240_n.jpg
  2. your right' date=' about berezino. Still that only leaves four real locations [hr'] Stary Sobor has one low military spawn' date=' airfield has 10+. Main Cities have 3+ [/quote'] it has a ton of tents, and they're not low. you've got a higher chance for a coyote backpack in stary than you do at nw airfield. you're also forgetting the 20 plus fields that helicopter crashes spawn in. you're also forgetting the players near cherno and elektro that troll for new spawners. you can kill them and get all you ever needed. you also neglect camps up north... Stary Sober Military Loot Number of Loot Spots:2 Loot spawn chance 40% Coyote Backpack Spawn chance: 0.38% NorthWest Airfield Barracks Loot Number of Loot Spots:24 Loot spawn chance 40% Coyote Backpack Spawn chance: 0.23% Do your math son 2 per tent. at least 7 small tents and 2 big tents. there are over 18 loot spots at stary. have you even been there? Stary Sobor has one low military spawn' date=' airfield has 10+. Tents are useless- The game is too buggy and I've lost countless fortunes due to them either dissapearing or not saving loot correctly. It wasn't stolen from. Also, why would you need a Coyote pack when ALICE packs are 10x more common and hold almost as much? Either way, these two items are rarely even commodities. Crashed helicopter sites are random, and they do make people travel outside of those three places, but generally people just "loot run" it by taking everything, waiting 10 minutes, and revisiting it to get the entire spawn again, so you only really need to find one and camp it. After you do that for maybe 1-2 runs- you end up just going to cherno or electro again to kill players. The OP is right, Cherno, Electro, and the NW airfields are pretty much the most visited places by far. I don't even find myself going north to get weapons anymore- the fire stations in Electro and Cherno drop pretty good loot anyway- And I can rack up ~30-60 murders before dying. an interesting approach deciding an extra four slots allowing the versatility of another primary plus decent storage space isn't worth having. i personally will take it. I've also found a ton of good stuff in tents. sorry about your bad luck on that front. taking the approach that "its not worth it" when it clearly is doesn't really work for me. as for helicopter spawns. i don't give a shit how "random" they are. he was saying there's nothing to do. regardless of your hipster attitude towards it all these are all viable quests. But no one actively pursues deer stands-- Not when a fire station or the NW airfield can almost consistently produce better results. Crashed Helicopters are pretty common' date=' and you pretty much max out your character after one visit-- A bison and 6 mags (2 bizons, actually) and I went down into cherno and had a killing spree. Other than crashed helicopters, there is no reason to go to anywhere but these 3 or 4 places (If you count berezino, which is just another big city with less people.) Also, vehicles and tents are too inconsistent to safely store loot and items- It is better to just make a trip to a common helicopter crash site or the NW airfield than run up to a secluded tent and then back down. Most people don't "just survive"- Its just too easy and boring. [/quote'] if you had any balls, you would have had your killing spree up north where the kitted players are. you're the cause for your lack of excitement. i don't really waste my time hunting people that can't give me better gear. Don't scare him wrath. He's obviously a master of gaming, statistics, philosophy, and telepathy. Who knows how loot will change in the next few months. Let's all just have some fun. Wang Chung. DayZ Stories

I want to apologize to Jonah for defending myself in Berezhino yesterday. Nighttime raiding of apartments ended badly for him when he took a few shots after I stumbled upon him. My AKS74 showed the flies where to land and I thank him for the nice backpack.
  4. Here's an idea. If you disconnect without being idle for more than 15 seconds, you randomly drop one of your items upon d/c. It may just be a bandage or it could be your nvg's. Best of luck to you.
  5. Can't wait to try this. I just bought a second copy and didn't want to mess with the registry files as some had suggested.
  6. Umm I know that I don't have to respawn but crawling around towns in the north while waiting for some bandit to snipe me for a few hours, just isn't my idea of fun. This is an alpha and I am making it a point not to get attached to a character, gun, gear, etc. And I also know that it is getting patched, I was just sharing a story. Sorry to have bothered all the advanced players and forum gods.
  7. I cannot wait to see how this update effects things. I really hope to see the leg breaking by zombies toned down. I was out of ammo and searching barns for some rifles and only had an axe. So I saw a winchester in a bard with a zombie a few meters away. I got close and wondered if I should axe him first or get the gun and run. Well I went with axe from a crouched position. One hit and my legs were broken. Really!?! Being that I was nowhere near a hospital I had to respawn and start over. Loving every minute regardless.
  8. Looks okay to me. I think there will be other option for full release, but I can see why this isn't one of the top priorities.
  9. I think you are overreacting to meeting up with a douchey hacker. Yes you lost your gear, but this is an alpha and you would have lost your gear otherwise. So you played and died and are going to QQ in a corner. How does that help this game grow? Your story of hacking only adds to the need for permaban of hackers but you are going to die in this game.
  10. add me on steam if you want someone who is up for helping out. dinsdale1978
  11. dinsdale1978 on steam. I will look for you and team up of you need a hand.
  12. Steam: dinsdale1978 IGN: dinsdale1978 Mic: Yes Location:US EST (-5 GMT) Age: 34 I like to help others and group up to find loot rather than slaughter innocent survivors to make my epeen grow. I usually play after 9pm EST until 1 or 2 in the morning. Cheers.
  13. If you have any room send me a pm. I am a friendly player who likes to help out more than rampage on new players. I am 34, so I have a reasonable amount of maturity about how I game. I have a mic and almost every communication client ready to go. Thanks for getting a group like this together. My steam id is dinsdale1978.
  14. Stay away from the busy towns and you can find a ton of things. Berezino had 7+ cans in one market. I found a gillie suit, binocs, and 3 morphines. There were no other players and I didn't aggro one zed. Didn't see many animals near there though.
  15. Look me up on steam if you need an ally. Steam id = forum name
  16. I love the analogy but lets take it a bit further. Any dog owner can tell you that as cute as a puppy may be, they can chew your shoes and crap on your carpet. Treat them right and they will be loyal and be a friend to you for life. Raised poorly, they will be vicious and dangerous. Let's all keep this puppy from becoming Cujo.
  17. I am up for a group if you will have me in the fold. I am 34, been playing FPS for years, and am looking to be more of a survivor friendly than bandit king. Though sometimes the law may be broken... dinsdale1978 on steam
  18. The airfield is usually camped on high population servers. I managed to find a M4A1 CCO and a PDW but heard two sniper shots whiz by my head. Luckily he was a terrible shot. Ran to cover and waited for some time before I made camp for another run with some back up. Now that I realize you can make the PDW silenced by putting in SD rounds, I really want my NVG's.
  19. I have to admit it is getting rather tiring to see so many bloodthristy bandits out there. It's hard to communicate with the direct chat for more than just the initial scared, "I'm friendly!" It would be nice to see a party system that would grant information about where the bandit that killed their party member is for about 1 minute. It would be nice to have some information about who killed a corpse so that you could adjust routes and watch your back.
  20. dinsdale1978 here. Have mic and (vent, ts3, mumble, skype)
  21. Nighttime won't help. Most of the campers have NVG.
  22. They are clearing tents because people have been duping tents and food and need to clear database space. Get a clue.
