What does everyone think? Would you like to see BI take up the project and put their man power behind DayZ? Personally, I would love to see BI be the one. They're perfect for it. Not only for the obvious reason of DayZ currently being a mod on their engine but for the type of game that Rocket wants DayZ to be - it fits with BI. MilSim masters now with the added SurvivalSim masters notch to their belt. -

No idea what the problem is with Commander. Rest assured, though, it's not just your server. Apparently something's not quite right with Commander itself in regards to what servers is does or doesn't show. Finding it no problem with a filter search in Six and in game - as of right now, it's still showing 2 instances of the server in game - and players logged in and playing on both instances. O_O http://i.imgur.com/IcrT1.jpg I myself am getting stuck and Waiting for Host when trying to join the one with more players (the one listing in Six). -

The respawn with a fracture appears to not be working as intended at the moment (i.e. respawn is not available with a fracture) Not sure if this is 100% for everyone or limited to some people or what - can anyone confirm they've been able to respawn with a fracture? -
Why do regular/recruit servers exist?

OP, you care a little bit too much about where others choose to connect to play. If you don't want to play on Regular/Recruit servers.. uh.. don't. Your poll/request/demand makes zero sense. -
It's a limitation of the MOD as it's connected to ArmA 2. He's doing what he can with what he has to work with at the moment. Have no fear in a standalone it would be taken care of.

I don't, and won't, use six launcher ^_^ Was able to find the server in the in-game browser and was able to connect this time. Very fast, too. FPS was fantastic. Response was fantastic. Still not showing up in Commander. Not sure what would be causing that. -
Just curious if anyone knows what's going on with this server? Great server, well taken care of... been down for days now with no signs of returning. Wondering if it's ever coming back.

Thanks for the reply, Raven. I'll keep my eyes open for news. The servers (128/302) feel fantastic. Great response/connection. I'd love to settle on one of them. I don't know why I can't get past not being able to set a way point. One more quick note, I notice you have 302 listed as map disabled, however when I was on yesterday, survivor location is actually showing. Not sure if intended or just a mix up in the description. @At_Ease: Just fyi, the newest patches are backward compatible again ;) So you can update to the newer build and still be able to log in. -
Indeed. I think this is a case of Rocket falling into the spam of "I want more convenience". Buck up, Rocket. I absolutely can consider this implementation an alternative to suicide only because of the limits of actually implementing suicide options (though as has been said it really IS NOT that hard to either let infected kill you or jump off a building. Even lost in the wilderness, it is NOT difficult to find a not far location where infected are. Less than 10 minutes, even crawling) Suicide IS an option should you be lost in the wilderness with a broken limb... for those that don't actually want to LIVE. I just don't like it. Going to take me a bit to get unmiffed about it.

I think you are misunderstanding "respawn". In game, hit escape. On the menu there is an option you can select called "Respawn" that instantly kills your character. People use this option repeatedly to find a spawn location they prefer (i.e. "I spawned in Kamenka but I want to spawn at Cherno for loot convenience" or "I spawned at Solnichny but my body is at Elektro and I want to spawn back there to get all my stuff again). This is what is being talked about. Not deaths.

Disappointed. Offering an easy way out. I suppose I can look at this as the current alternative to a suicide option. But I'm still disappointed.

Well, went to try it out. The in game server browser isn't working at all for me right now (probably gamespy problems). And 1208 still isn't showing up in the list of servers for DayZ Commander -

I told no one to get lost. There are several thousands of players playing this mod that have absolutely zero clue as to what it actually is. Wanting things to be easier and more convenient? Wrong place, friend. Sorry. War Z, however, has made a list of promises to meet those wants. So... better luck there.

Wanted to try it out for you. The server doesn't show up at all in DayZ Commander. Showed up in the in-game browser but connection fails (showing a ping of 47). -
Going forward, I would like to know if there are plans to get the versions of DayZ Mod and OA beta patches in line. Right now, it's a total cluster fuck there are so many different version combinations. Could something be done to get the servers all in line with the version of the mod and the beta the dev team has rolled out? Doesn't having so many different combinations, rather than requiring servers to run the version needed for testing, limit/hinder the collection of data?
