I think #6 could be done by making chopper spawns very rare/very damaged and make copper parts hard to find and big as fuck, making it basically a requirement to have a group and possibly a car to have a functioning chopper.

Well there could be explanations to it, I do sometimes forget that it's a disease and not "classic zombies" but a mother could have locked up her kid in the basement with a lot of food and stuff to protect him from her as an infected and eventually he got infected, also, some kid could've been infected while his/her parents were immune, now that I think about it it's a really far fetched idea, and if implemented with this logic in mind they would be rare a fuck, they would still be scary as fuck though

You know what would be scary as all hell? Baby zombies. Imagine just this little bloody human running towards you just to eat your brains. Might not be a good idea because of "shooting children" but I think that would be nice

I think this might have to wait a bit until persistence and stuff is fixed, I spawned in cherno, made my way to pavlovo's military base, headed up north, found a chopper crash, spent like 3 hours getting to black mountain, I had m4, mararov, a lot of rounds for everything, and as I was setting up a fire on top of the castle I suddenly lagged and fell and obviously died :) watch out if you are setting up shop at black mountain, or any building for that matter -

I actually like the way there's a lot of loot everywhere now, if instead of making loot rare, they make it hard to get the loot safely because of the zombies I think it'd be a lot more fun, right now it's just go from building to building finding nothing(before .50) not even caring about zombies. -

There are shotguns in police stations, patrol policemen use glocks, but in the station there's plenty of gear in case a situation escalates. I do agree that if there were 75-100 zombies in an area it would be hard to loot no matter how much loot there is. Zombies are hardly a threat in the current state of the game. -

The fact that a camp is for bandits or for survivors doesn't change the behavior of the players, if you are around the bandit camp and you got whatever identifies you as a bandit you might not get KoS'ed, but that doesn't guarantee anything, same thing in the survivor camp, if they think you are a bandit you might get killed anyways, so yeah -

Well if there's going to be more than 1 camp per side eventually it's be a good idea, but devil's castle is not the best place to be imho, it's only close to NWAF and severo while black mountain is in the middle of 4 major towns, close to spawns and an airfield, so it's ok to begin at devil's castle but I don't think that should be a definitive location. To begin I think we should get a couple alternatives and make a poll, if we get more people interested this will probably take off. EDIT: also did you post this in /r/dayz? There's a lot more people on that sub than on this forum -

I like the idea of it being established on a town, that way the people that have never heard of it will find out eventually. I think it'd also be cool to have smaller camps scattered out across chenarus. It'd be like a constant clan battle between survivors and bandits. The camps could also be in a strategic position in between towns and military bases, black mountain would be good since it's right by krasnostav, NEAF, berezino, novodmitrovsk and severo, and the other camp could be north of green mountain close to NWAF, the military base south of NWAF and close to zeleno and stary -

That would bring a shit ton of problems, first you would need a super computer to handle 40k players at a decent tickrate, second, you would need like a direct, 10 Gbps link with every player to have a decent ping all around the world, so no, that is impossible in todays tech, but however what is possible is getting 200 man servers and a much bigger map, like double the size of it, so traveling would pretty much require you to get a vehicle, so at that point, a car that is an endgame thing, turns into a necessity instead of something you get when you're all looted up, and I think that would be cool because that would encourage having a group, and somewhat discourage KoS if you are alone, sure if you already have a group you can just kill people as you may please, but if you are alone, you kinda want a group to be able to get a car an eventually a base. That's not the same case though, Treyarch and Infinity Ward are 2 completely different studios, with their own patents, doesn't matter if they both work for activision, they don't really work together even if they make games for the same franchise, because if they did work together then BO2 would be made by Treyarch AND Infinity Ward, not just Treyarch, so they kinda do need permission to use each other's assets, in this case both games are from the same company, just different teams, so it's not really that big of a deal EDIT: Rocket suing the ArmA team would be like Coke zero suing Coca Cola
