Hi there, so I recently just got my own server up and running, pure vanilla at the moment as it stands, but I would love to add my own scripts and things into the server. These are the things I would like scripted on my 1.8 server... -Self Bloodbag -Animated Helicrashes -Full Moon Nights -Admin Tools -Animated Plane crashes -Custom Helicrash Loots (So chance of AS50 etc..) if anyone could help me with this I would be very, very thankful *wink wink* joking! :D

Its ok guys shortly afterwards I went on open dayz forums and have scripted most of this stuff myself now anyway so this thread is pretty useless, thanks for you truthful outlook though. I would also encourage others in my position to do the same, I've learnt so much in the past couple of days! :D

Hi there, I have been looking to set-up a day z server for sometime now and recently installed day z control centre (DayZCC_V5.9.4.0) I was able to go in and access everything but get this error when I go to start the server... (Addon 'dayz_server' requires addon 'dayz_code') then when I go to join the server it gets stuck on 'wait for host' and this error comes up... (Include file z/addons/dayz_code/system/mission/description.sqf) anybody know how I can fix these errors?? I have attached the relevant images which might help.. Your help would be much appreciated! :)

Just fixed the problem, for anyone else with the same problem make sure your @Day Z folder is actually installed in your Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead Folder, check this by going to that folder and make sure you haven't overridden any install paths in day z commander I also copied my Add ons folder from my Arma 2 directory to my Arma 2 OA folder to clear up any other issues :)

Hi there, id like to start by introducing myself (So Hi, my names Miles and I hail from the UK) since this is my first post, but i have been an avid viewer of these boards for some time since getting into Day Z about a month ago. Well my new experience or story shall I say begins in the lands of Chernarus, or more specifically Elektro on FR34 Public Hive server. I began my journey like any other adventurer in these harsh unforgiving lands, bandage in backpack, map nowhere to be seen. As I trekked my way from the eastern front of the city looting residential buildings to secure vital assets such as food and water, and then onto the hospital and general store to collect some much needed equipment I made my way to Elektro Power plant or more specifically, the fire station. Notorious for its Bandit livelihood, I showed no fear in marching to the station as intended, scouring for a much needed weapon but to no avail :( When exiting the fire station and heading to the farm nearby to see if I could pocket a much loved Winchester rifle or CZ550 sniper, I felt the hairs on my neck stand up and my blood turn to ice as I heard the click of a suppressed shot spring towards my feet. flinging my Razer Death Adder ( No advertising Intended) into the palm of my sweaty right hand, I swiped my mouse pad with a ferocious swing of my mouse and bolted, zigzagging left and right as I went, poop slowly retreating from my anus and sweat running in torrents from my forehead. I became even more distressed as the shots barraged me (obviously they didn't have very good aim) but nothing could prepare me for what was about to ensue this awful day... "Stop right there, this is the police!" - screeched a mad faggotron 3000 from the depths of the interwebs, my ears could hear the pre-pubescent rebellious behaviour building up within the 3 camouflaged, armed to the teeth teenagers who ran towards me. I halted, curious as to why they had let me live...

Tbh, it wasn't really a thing of "we'll kill anyone who isn't in our group" it was more of a thing like "we're a group, we're armed to the teeth and there's lots of us, lets abuse it! :D" I guess Banditry and abuse of power in the game is necessary for it to be as tense as it is and contribute to the overall hardcore atmosphere of the game but it felt a little too abusive for my liking, I want to play the game and if I get killed by a Bandit then fair do's, but I certainly wont bend my knee to someone or a group of people trying to rule over me from their keyboards, when I can simply disconnect and join any other server.

You know what they say, strength in numbers and all that and I mean numbers! there was about 8 of them, 3 confronted me by the fire station, 2 were providing sniper over watch and the other 3 were in the city abusing the other fresh spawns. Complete. Utter. Takeover. and these "kids" weren't your ordinary fresh spawns with Winchesters, they all had ghillie suits or camo clothing with Silenced M4 Carbines + CCO's both snipers had DMR's and the 3 others all had Silenced M4 carbines too, well outgunned and outnumbered in terms of surviving :/ To Mercules, I included it to incorporate and relate to the internet view's of these so called "Law Enforcers" as they called themselves, sorry if it came across as un-needed or offensive :)

I can assure you these were no mere sissy bandits armed with a makarov and the balls of a 5 year old, these were chiselled, organised veterans by the likes of which I have never seen. And thanks :)

I sat in complete silence, wondering if such a thing was possible in these lands; bandit teamwork? Enforced Marshall Law by 3 keyboard warriors? I sat in complete bewilderment like a deer when it looks at a hunter before it’s executed. “For not complying with my rules and regulations I am afraid I will have to discuss with my colleagues a suitable punishment for your rebellion of the laws of Elektro.” Colleagues I thought? Surely this is not the bandit I have heard of, that stalks on the lives of innocent survivors in organized cold blooded murder. I crouched and looked at them, waiting for them to come to a decision as to what my fate would entail on this night, and I clutched my keyboard in terror at the dark thoughts “For not complying with our rules” – screeched the insane child inbred “I’m afraid we have 2 options, either we break your leg, or you give us a good reason why not.” As I heard their giggles brought on by their sudden immense virtual power I contemplated for what seemed like an hour but what was in reality a few seconds, thinking about my History A Level content and the persecution of the Jews during the holocaust, was I the Jew? Was I being punished by the SS of Elektro? My body shivered as I pressed Caps Lock and gave them my reply... “Na Dawg Ain’t Nobody Got Time Fo Dat Shizzzzllleeee…” Sensing my reply was not of adequate satisfaction to them, I received many emotional death threats which made me feel vulnerable behind the comfort of my own PC monitor encased in the warmth my radiator was emitting to battle the brutal British winter. (no offence to any Russians on these forums, we know yours are much, much, worse) So I did what I do best, I ran. Kept on running. I was still running at this point as well. And then I died. I cringed in awkward terror as I heard their childish cries of joy fill the air around my bloodied corpse, and they layered my being with words such as “noob” and “st00pid” This is a day I shall never forget in Day Z… I have a lot more to tell in terms of my adventures and the Bandit Gimp Clan, if you wish to hear more then please reply below, if not, well.. ill just write it anyway J Happy Hunting Zombie Slayerz!
