    Dat Shotgun

If you are ever wondering about which weapon is REALLY the best weapon, it has to be the shotgun. Ammo is everywhere and it has two types. Last night, I found a Remington and was getting out of Elektro when a sniper started shooting into the town. I crept over to where his muzzle flash was and saw him pop out from behind the tree. He immediately started shooting with his DMR and missed about ten times from point-blank range. Of course, given that I had pellets loaded, I fired once in his general direction and took him down. I fired a couple more wild shot and drew blood before he disconnected. Not too long after, a man in a ghillie suit shot up a guy in a field north of the firestation. I spotted him and fired at him with my sniper after he saw me and prepared to shoot. I missed, but hit him when he ran. My brother and I went to investigate but could not find his body. I knew he had to have either disconnected and moved (his body had been shooting blood geysers) or woken up and retreated. We searched his victim and soon took fire from an automatic weapon. My leg was broken and my brother absorbed the rest of his bullets. I was collapsed on the ground and couldn't see from the shock, but fired a blind shot and saw his name appear in the kill-feed. He must have been between 30-50 meters away and he had the drop on us, but the shotgun won the day. TL;DR Shotgun owns
  2. You didn't happen find those bikes north of Cherno in some trees, did you?
  3. I don't know if this can be implemented, but how about a large amount of sway (as if you had just been running) if it is not fired from the prone position?

    Your First Murder

I don't know him, but seems legit.
  5. I think weapons in general need to be harder to find. Civilian weapons like the double-barrel are pointless because it's so easy to get an AK right from the get-go. I don't think firestations should be spawning military weapons in the first place, it makes it too easy to make Cherno and Elektro an even bigger warzone than they already are.
  6. Seems to me that Day Z just got even more violent with 1.7.2.5. Before, there was a chance of not being blown to bits, but now it seems people are actively picking a fight. Even dudes who say, "friendly!" stare you down a little before blowing your head off. I'm wearing a bandit hat, so it's obvious why I am being shot, but my brother is a normal dude. Most of the time, he doesn't even have weapons! It seems like more people are chasing down others to kill them too. Several times I've been in the forest or in the middle of nowhere when some guy randomly pops me. Heck, even in the middle of the night, I stood up for a second and was popped :P. I dunno, has anyone noticed an increase of aggression? Elektro used to have a 30% chance of not being a warzone, but now it's like the coast from Balota to Otmel is like Baghdad with G-strings.

    Looking for Volunteers...

I tried to do that, but everyone killed me instead :P. Even when I was in the middle of the forest, people stalk and kill me when I'm trying to be peaceful. I'd say you should try joining up with the medics, see if you can help that way.

    Trolling a Bandit

He parked it in front of the orange building on the far west side of Elektro. The driver side was along a fence on the east side of the gray(?) house in front of the orange one. I came from the south and saw the side of him but he was too focused to see me. I could hear the sound it makes when you repair a part on your car as I approached. A few seconds later, I ran around the side of the bus to where he was on and passed him as he went toward the back, perhaps to see if someone was coming (probably heard my running and the zombie chasing me). I then said, "hello there!" and jumped in the driver seat. As I rounded the corner, shooting started. I got into the grassy area next to the orange house before being ejected and knocked out. Zombies came to eat me and about 30 seconds later the bus blew up. The whole time I was laughing :) Hi five! I'm actually wearing a bandit hat right now, so... don't shoot!
  9. Story time: It was an average day on the coast. I got shot at, chased by zombies, and found myself a bike (while getting shot at). My brother and I were biking along the coast when a bus suddenly sped by. It aimed to ram one of us, but couldn't turn fast enough and kept going toward Elektro instead. Later on, after getting blown to tiny bits by an AK, I spawned in Elektro. Running around, hoping to find something interesting, I happened across a parked bus. Hmmm... Closing in, I noticed the bandit (he had his doo-rag on) working on his bus. Perfect, I thought. I can steal his bus! Mwahaha! Sneaking along the bus, I came around to the driver side where the bandit was working. As I dashed for the door, I yelled, "Hello there!" and hopped in. I go the engine started up and pulled away, running into a sign and fence on my way out. Soon after, the AK he had started riddling the bus. I got no more than 100 feet before the whole bus went up in flames, but it felt so awesome to ruin a bandit's day without firing a single shot. After this incident, the bandit was left without his bus and a huge explosion to give away his position. Oops, watch out where you leave your vehicles! The times I wish I hap Fraps running...
  10. On US 838 and 1987 (both by iGnite-gaming), the warehouse district of Elektro keeps blowing up. The first time, on 1987, I walked into Elektro and found tons of dead people. Upon entering the warehouse area, I found the entire area flattened. A minute later, I suddenly collapsed dead. Later, my bro entered the same area on 838. This time, he caught the dust after the explosions went off. Same deal, he died shortly thereafter. This morning, I went on 838, and nearly jumped out of my seat when the warehouses blew up. I don't think it was a hacker, since only 2 other people were online and Elektro seemed empty (it was dark, so I couldn't tell if people were there or not). Knowing what could happen, I bugged out of there. Anyway, is this happening on other servers or are other people seeing this?
  11. I can confirm that I am at -12000 now. I was at -5ish thousand before, but dunno, it's all wiggity wack. I rolled back to 95883 and was able to see my humanity when I logged in, but after dying it reset to 0. ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGH! Update: So rolling back to 95883 seems to do the trick. If you change skins (camo clothes, civi clothes, ghillie), your humanity will reset to 0 until you log back in. Any humanity gained during that time will add on or take away from what you had before when you come back. For example, I had something like -12,900, gained 300 from not being a jerk, got camo clothes, went to 0 humanity, and gained another 450 from not being a jerk, and logged off. When I came back, I was at something like -12,150 and still was in camo clothes.
  12. Has anyone been experiencing some weirdo humanity bug that resets you upon log-in or respawn? I keep reading my humanity at 0 despite having a bandit skin. 10 minutes after spawning or logging in, I switch back to a normal skin. I can raise my humanity or lower it, but it always resets back to 0. Sometimes, I will see a number upon logging in, once it was something like -5000, another time it was more like -12,000. So, anyone else been seeing these bugs?
  13. Well, this is weird. Everytime I respawn I get reset to 0 humanity but still have a doo-rag on. Anyone experiencing this?
  14. That's interesting about what you said on shooting people. I was trying to pop bandits and ended up shooting two or three. I knocked out one and the other fled after getting hit. Neither awarded me with any positive points (although, I don't think my humanity was caught up either).
  15. I see, that is really helpful info! Doesn't that mean that bandit sniper will eventually go back to being a normal dude if he doesn't get anyone for awhile? Also, if I went back to a normal skin and died, how come I respawn as a bandit?
