  1. I just killed a guy, his body insta disappeared. Got no kill nor was there a message in chat. Yet there are flies around where I killed him. Thanks for fast release rocket, will look forward to next.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.2 Rolling Update

    Im pretty sure you dont understand what an Alpha is.... There typically is 5 stages to development. Dev stage Alpha Beta RC Full release Alpha, being the second stage of development is where the base game has been formed, and all features are being added. At this stage most games are CONSTANTLY broken in some way or another. If you dont like the game how it is then dont play it. Wait for Beta, that is the bug fix stage. Most content has been completed and all the fixed are being made to get it ready for release. Rocket is going to make this game on his own terms. He is doing this all for the community. He isnt taking any of your money, therefore you have no right to tell him how to make his game. and why is this? I'm not asking for rocket to stop experimenting, but if you take a unstable build and throw more things at it, it's not getting any better.

    I have used the NV goggles lol, they do exist. Makes night time very nice. Sucks i lost them though =(

    Another thread advocating radios!

    I like the idea of radios as well. It can work just like a CB. Just have like 10-20 channels per server. Then if you and your buddy have a radio you can switch to a channel. Most Radios also have a sweep function that will lock on to the first channel it hears a person talk on. Thus enabling spies, bandits, ect. You could also have a broadcast all frequency selection. This would broadcast what you say on every frequency, but you cant receive responses. This would enable people to call for an SOS if they need it. +1 on radios. Not a big fan of the megaphone idea, nor the beginners aid though. they just seam a little impractical.
  6. Not sure if this is the line your thinking but I have a mechanic that would be very realistic. Basically, when a person is killed, zombies are attracted by the terrible smell. probably like a 100-200m distance would wander towards the dead player and begin to feast on him. This way, if you needed to get the loot from this survivor you would first have to kill off the 20 zeds all gathered around him. Also having all these zombies starting to gather around the dead player would put the killer in great danger of getting seen, and having a whole horde after him. this would be a wicked mechanic....

  8. Date/Time: 6/11/12 around 9:00PM PST(GMT-8) What happened: I pitched a tent on flat ground in a field. it took many tries to make it work. Once I got it pitched, there were about 4 tents stacked in my inventory. I pitched a few more tents with the same results in the same location. After gathering several supplies, I started ferrying items from other tents I found into mine. this included guns, ammo, med supplies, food, engine parts, ect. I saved my tents and went off to find more gear. While I was returning the server crashed. I waited for it to restart and logged in. Once I got back to my tent I found a few things missing, but most of it remained. I set out and returned to some of the tents I had visited before, and ALL of the items were still there, including the ones that I transferred and remained in my new tent. Basically it allowed me to reloot all the stuff I had already taken and duplicate it. Testing this further, I started transferring loot between my tents, then waiting for the server to restart. Once restarted, some seemingly random items would be duplicated. It also seems that the glitching tents seem to make the server unstable as it tends to crash often, shortly after accessing tents. The last piece to this is that certain tents will not pack up once items have been transferred. For example, I had caught and killed a man after finding him looting one of my tents. I then transferred all my items to a new more secure location. Once I finished transferring everything, I packed the tents and left the supplies I didn't want, figuring the server would clean it up on restart. Once the server was restarted, later that day, I returned to my old tent location. I found 2 of the 3 tents still erected, and all the items still in them despite the fact they had been moved to the new location. Effectively duplicating all of the items I moved. I still cannot take down the tents, as every time I do, they come back once the server is restarted. Where you were: Clearing, up north What you were doing: Transferring items between tents.
