DayZ has Volumetric Clouds, they exist in the game world (particle i think). You could fly through them. And i think the normal daylight is already very diffuse.

Because DayZ and all other BI Games are written on DirectX and not in OpenGL (or similar). DX is not compatible to mac or linux systems. There are ways to work around that problem but i think it has a realy low priorety, especially in this stage of the game.

You maybe have played DayZ Epoch sometimes? I think building with stone should if at all, very hard and i mean very very hard. But i think wood and metal would be the more realistic building elements. -
I don't think DayZ and ARMA 2 plays in one dimension. I think DayZ SA plays in the real world because we have UN Barrett's/Helmets, that would also explain why we have M4's.

Or you just post it again on reddit, and if its popular enough to come on the front page the devs will maybe see it.

M4 is used by the Czech military. But Chernarus (where DayZ plays, and that not real exist) is not in Czech. They only used a location in czech as an example for terrain villages/cities and streets.

I posted this on reddit some time ago, and i post it here again because you maybe didn't noticed it. In ARMA 2 the distance fog that was shown when the render limit was hit, was white or gray. That is also in DayZ SA: http://imgur.com/CIcrtmq .ARMA 3 has a better way to handle this: http://imgur.com/yqE981L .Like the title says the suggestion itself is to change the distance fog in a more realistic color. Because the game's set in a fictional Soviet post Apocalyptic state. Vechicles ingame should follow that spirt,we can't have a Prius in DayZ,that would be immersion breaking. For the majority of people at least. If you look into google maps you will see that the region is not so poor how you maybe think, there normal cars everywhere. The ARMA2 DayZ mod gave me the feeling that it plays in past, but SA definatly didn't do this.

Why should the latest models come from 1990's? Or do you speak from the ARMA 2 one?

Theres also all the old guns. They're just there. They won't be using the old textures or models, becuase they'll be completely redoing vehicle mantaince I didn't say they would use the old models and textures, but maybe similar cars. (ARMA 2 Civ cars). I would wish there could also create some more modern cars. Edit: And were are the old guns there is no one in the files.

If you look into the game files you will see models and textures from all old vehicels.

This was Sarcasm it was more or less a joke that should show you how stupid and unrealistic this suggestion is. I mean that your vehicel gets transportet into other databases so you can play on an other server would break immersion and it would bring us to something like server hopper do in the moment just put stuff in the car and join an other server. So vehicels should server addicted. And second its just totally unrealistic i mean there is a car with "reinforced windows", and that should prevent you to open it? Epoch itself was unrealistc but funny sometimes but this has nothing to do with DayZ.

And if i see your locked car i will just smash the window and steal it. Just a bit sarcasm. DayZ is to realistic for this.

That's one problem that ARMA 2 has. It would be cool if you could run up a hills or up stairs like in ARMA 3. But i also would say they should wait so long the weight system do not exist.

Way to easy i would like it (maybe only on Hardcore Server) that you spawn all over the map so meeting with friend gets extremly hard. Because i think in DayZ you should not just play with your frinds, you should meet random guys and play with them thats an completly other experience.

I would love to see some hotspots like the Airfield and the big cities are damaged by nuclear or poisen gas. So you need special equip to enter them. But i also would like to see acid rain and stuff like this. I mean maybe there destroyed this places because there thought that this would stop the infection. But the infected people become no damage thru the nuclear/poisen gas explosion/s.
