  1. I see a lot of complaint about PvP. Just as much for suggestions to fix them, so here's mine. I'm not out to eliminate PvP. I don't LIKE PvP as a gamer because I'm more a casual hardcore gamer, but I like the thought of it here. It works. Sorta.

    It's fairly simple and not really game breaking or require any new mechanics. Make zombies more worth it to kill. Increase the chance of loot on a zombie. When I see people playing I never see people searching the body of a zombie. I heard they do in fact drop things, but still people don't look.

    How would that help?

    Well, my logic is that it would sort of "dull" the attractiveness of shooting another player in the face. I read that most people only shoot others out of necessity. (But there are still those who do it for sport) If zombies have a better chance of dropping something someone needs, it would potentially reduce the need of killing someone else for it.

    Of course there would be some balancing issues, don't want this to replace looting all together, just be a slight alternate way. This would (hopefully) effectively reduce the NEED to kill others. As well as increase the willingness to team up. Because if you didn't need something off another survivor, you would be more likely to not kill each other and work to kill zombies and survive.

    TL;DR? Increase zombie loot drop = Reduction of killing someone for their stuff + Increase chance of teaming up = Happy days

    Hope this idea works.

  2. Before I start, I don't own the game. But I'm in love with it anyway. I just browse the forums and watch youtube videos about it. so my knowledge comes from that.

    Onto the suggestion;

    Feigning death.

    Being able to fake your death could have it's uses. You can lay motionless, imitating the position of your body if you were actually dead. This of course wouldn't work on zombies, unless maybe you were in a pile of them and it masked your scent maybe.

    Imagine you're under fire, enough fire to let the enemy think they hit you. You feign death around a corner. Time passes, the aggressor eventually approaches. You are able to maybe move your head and see the person. You suddenly pop up and shoot him.

    Feigning death could also work for zombies, though in a different way. They could start in a seemingly dead state(like all those dead military bodies). As well as starting feigned, they could have a chance to get back up when killed. Maybe a percent to revive after X amount of time.

    I thought I had more, but I suppose some first suggestion anxiety is preventing me from thinking. Let the discussion begin.

  3. Makes me think of a Gmod RP I played awhile ago. You had an option to press a button to say your name in various fields. Whisper, normal, and shout. Each letting any player in X amount of range recognize you. Normally everyone would be "Unknown", you would only be able to see their physical description(this was an RP game mode).

    I like the idea.

  4. I like the thought of your gear having durability. Weapons jamming, backpacks getting holes, flashlights needing batteries, etc. I was going to suggest the idea. A way to repair them would be nice. Maybe dismantle other weapons for parts for your guns, or it would give you more incentive to have duplicates of your favorite guns. Would keep those all geared up players scavenging to replace their worn weapons.
