UPDATE 03/05/12 PM Part One of my first narrated play through is up! Taking a break from the tutorials I'm attempting to demonstrate general play of the DayZ Mod. That means it's no gigantic action fest or running back and forth, it's me trying to survive... sort of. Parts two through to five will be up tomorrow so be sure to come back and have a look. Next I will probably aim at getting an 'actionish' video up, or perhaps a trailer if the fan made trailer contest comes out... Hmm! As always, comments, critiques and suggestions are always welcome! Howdy, I'm sure this system is still under development as since using it I've only ever received the text "resembling" following two messages; "This is UNKNOWN, he was killed by UNKNOWN MEANS." or, "This is INSERTWHATEVERPLAYER'SNAME HERE, he was killed by ." But regardless, might I suggest the time since death occurred be added to the message when the action is selected. Either a timer since death or perhaps feedback such as; "The body is still hot." - Indicating death within the last 5 or so minutes. "The body is warm." - Indicating death within the last 15 or so minutes. "The body is cold." - Indicating death past 15 or so minutes. Food for thought. Mag.

When they say females can't handle weapons they mean "ingame". It's coded in the engine that female actors aren't able to use weaponary. It's not some sexist or chauvinistic remark. Mag.

Date/Time: Several times over the past 2-3 hours. What happened: Twice so far I've died and reverted to a previously saved state of my character. Where you were: Anywhere, then a bush in Bor. What you were doing: Losing (a.k.a. Dying and Re-spawning) *Current installed version: 1.5.1 *Server(s) you were on: Dallas 1 *Your system specs: - Windows 7 - Intel i7-2600 3.7ghz - 8GB whatever the latest RAM is - Nvidia GeForce GTX560 - Plenty of HDD space *Timeline of events before/after error: - I go AFK in a bush near Bor. - I return approximately 10 minutes later. - Approximately 40 minutes later I die by Zombie. - I back out to slot selection and pick a new slot. - I spawn in the bush in the exact state I was when I had gone AFK. - I wander off and continue playing. - Approximately an hour later I die by Zombie. - I back out to slot selection and pick a new slot. - I spawn in the bush in the exact state I was when I had gone AFK. Please see attached screenshot and pay attention to the Unsaved: true section of the debug monitor. Note, this does change back to false and do the regular cycle but I continue to re-spawn near Bor. Possible to use Shacktac's fireteam hud?

It would need to be signed by the server, which the devs have said won't happen at the moment to keep the test as clean and as easy as possible. It also comes with a digital compass (of sorts) if memory serves correctly which would sort of spoil part of the game and so is unlikely to be added unless the compass component is removed. Although.... looking at a few pictures of the mod, it looks like it can be turned off. I'm not sure whether that's at a client level and can be monitored by the server though. I know I've only ever used it with the compass on. Food for thought for the future but unlikely to occur during Alpha. Mag. -

Hi Phate, Try hitting refresh at the top of the program. If that doesn't work... Does it show up in the left hand window of the launcher? If not try going to the Addon Options Tab and pointing the program to the mod directory with the Additional Addon Search Directories box, again refresh. Let me know how you go. Mag. -

After further testing it appears as though no matter how I die, disconnect or reconnect on any server the issue persists... UPDATE: Ok... I've since been warped to the debug area, respawned applied 1.5.2. connected and BAM I'm where I was prior to being warped. Glad I'm not a coder. Mag.
