Purchased second game on different steam account - still the same character in game

You need a separate user account in windows to house the second install. Magnet -
No need to be unpleasant, just provide something constructive. For example, lets try saying what we don't like about the current build and then follow up with details on what we'd like changed and perhaps even with an explanation or justification as to why. People are having problems with the mod, that's a given. DayZ is not finished, not by a long shot. You guys help us make the game, but only when you provide useful information. Magnet

This blows my mind... Changes happen to break things, things that are broken happen to be fixed by changes. It's a vicious cycle. The last few updates have all contained fixes aimed at increasing performance, noticeably these haven't always worked or they have and something else now needs work. Imagine if we only released fixes for the one issue you're complaining about. It would be ten seconds before another issue would be picked on for not being resolved or people would complain that the design is going no where (WHEREZ OUR CONTENTS!?!?). It's been said before that Alpha is for fleshing out the design of the mod, certainly we want it to be stable and we work towards that but this the key time to mould DayZ in to what it one day will be. The idea is to work on as much of the game as possible while keeping it stable while the idea for future development (i.e. Beta) is making it as stable as possible. Just my 33 cents worth. Magnet

My previous questions apply to you also. The amount of people that have told me they are running the latest beta when they are not has been 100% higher than people reporting this problem and actually having had the latest files. This may just be the luck of the people I am speaking with but I thought to have covered a large enough cross section of the community. If not I need the above requested accurate information to work on. Magnet -

@punisher1337 When was this? What exact version of beta was this? What exact version of DayZ was this? What were your actions prior to? Where we're you teleported? What server were you playing on and what exact version of everything was it running? There are multiple reasons people can be teleported/lose items, not running beta is the most prevalent. This was determined from speaking with a large swathe of players, countless bug reports and tests I myself conducted in replicating the glitch. Hope that's legit enough for you : / Mag. -

Hey guys, We're currently having teething problems getting backpacks to work with the unicorn skins in the next patch. If we manage to get those sorted out in time then we'll see how we go, I personally need a new suit and could probably pass it off on tax as research... Well I couldn't but I can dream. Me too and I did close this thread thinking the same thing but figured I owed it to the person to do some more research. I determined he was posting somewhat innocently. While it's true that some banned players will attempt to get back in by editing CD keys and what not it's not really a huge issue. Either they've paid for or otherwise acquired a legitimate CD key. If they hack again, they disappear again... pretty simple really. However if they play fairly, then lesson learned hopefully. Anyway, the issue of the OP is a legitimate one. Magnet

Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphical Engine

Steam? 1. Exit Steam completely. 2. Right-click on Steam icon. 3. Left-click on "Run As Administrator". 4. Run ArmA 2. 5. Run Operation Arrowhead. 6. Now try to run Combined Operations again. If that doesn't work, please re-install Steam: 1. Go to Steam's installation folder. 2. Delete everything there except "steam.exe" and "steamapps" folder. 3. Run "steam.exe" - Steam will reinstall itself automatically. 4. Continue from step 1 of the previous how-to. Good luck. Mag. -

Camo/Ghillie Suit bug question

Couple of fun facts for everyone; 1) Running the latest Beta stops you from teleporting to the great blue when putting on skins. 2) Running Beta works with any server running that version or older, i.e. it is backwards compatible (including with servers not running beta at all). So, it's in the player's best interest to install and run Beta. It will save you a whole lot of heartache! Mag. -

Server - No Support or Answers

Hi Guys, I've been managing the e-mails for the past couple of weeks, and I can confirm that all server related e-mails have been passed on to the server team to process. The reason your requests are being processed so slow is due to a tremendous back log of issues the team are currently working on resolving. Naturally they are working from oldest to latest to catch up and will no doubt get back to you at the earliest possible opportunity. Please be patient, the server team isn't a full time group nor are they paid for the services they provide us with. We understand you're situation is unfavorable and frustrating, but I assure you we will deal with it as soon as practical. Regards, Magnet -
Problems with starting the game

You will need to try copying the “Addon” folder from your ArmA 2 directory and pasting it in your Operation Arrowhead folder. This should hopefully resolve your issue. Mag. -

@Zimmerphrame Try re-installing battle-eye either by right clicking your game in steam or by doing so from the battle-eye website. @VZ58shooter The command prompt window happens whenever you launch CO, that's fine. Go in to your launcher, select the launch options tab and then look about 2/3'rds of the way down the launcher on the right and find the default world option. Enable that and change the drop down box to Chernarus. Mag. -

@zimmerphrame I only get that Modify/Repair/Remove window because I already have the program installed. The prompts following the installation directory prompt should ask for the location of the ArmA exe's. If it doesn't or you have entered them incorrectly, once the launcher is installed you can change the directory locations in the Launch Options tab. @VZ58shooter Are you force loading Chernarus from the default world option in the Launch Options tab of Spirited Machine's launcher?
