Your legs broke because you logged into something that broke them. Just a coincidence. The loot didn't show up in that one server because it wasn't on the hive. Probably blacklisted or a private server. The AWS might be missing because it was hacked in or you joined a server with the patch that eats L85s. I think you need to pay more attention to the servers you join and make sure you are joining a server with a recent patch.

It would have been nice if you could have written up a post and not just put what can be read in less than a minute into an 18 minute video.

This host doesn't seem like a very good host. Their servers run like crap. Take a look at US 385. It's always a lag fest and it's not the only server they have up that is completely unplayable most of the time.

Steam often won't update the cd key in the registry when running Arma 2 if steam isn't ran in admin. <<<<<<<<This is important information for people. This will also likely keep you from logging in and out of different windows user accounts.

The steps involving regedit will only help if you can get steam to change the cd key in the registry. These steps help you switch accounts if you know the registry key for your cd key for your specific account. He doesn't know it and it's not in the registry, his friends is. I totally left you hanging though and forgot to update thread. Running steam in Admin and then launching Arma 2 regular from steam updated my account. I also logged out of windows before I ran steam in admin mode.

I am having a similar problem. Basically what has happened is that he logged into his steam on your PC. His game changed the CD key in the registry to his and now that he has left the game isn't updating the CD Key in the registry any longer. Before the last patch I could run arma 2 vanilla and it would update the CD key in the registry then I could play the mod just fine. You might want to try this. Other than that I don't know what to do. I don't want to reinstall the game because I'm not at home and the internet here isn't as fast. It would bottleneck anything else I wanted to do during the hours and hours of download. AFAIK the only way to to fix this problem is to use a cd key changer that hackers usually use when they get battleye banned. I think you would be able to look up the CD key Via steam, plug it into the program and then the program would change the registry for you. Problem here is that I'm not trusting jack shit made for hackers. Other than that I think we might need to reinstall the game. I'm going to try doing some things with running steam in admin and maybe deleting the registry key and see if it updates it or just causes problems.

Why does death from hunger or thirst have to be something you should have died from? Just because it's possible doesn't mean it should happen. Realistically or for game sake, things just don't always work like that. The food mechanics of the game do change the way you play and as you get better geared it's easier to cope with as it should be.

It's not an accurate assessment at all. Going into a large city before going inland is just a waste of time. You can run extremely far without eating or drinking directly after spawning in. Unless you are just looking to kill people or be killed, going to a large city before moving inland isn't productive. The only reason to go to a large city before going inland is to kill a sniper on the outskirts and get insta-geared. My vote is to choose spawns along the coast. Blocking spawn points that are 'close' to the last place a person died would be ideal. This way someone couldn't easily get revenge on someone who just killed them.

Just a little? Does this guy want the mod to become a combat medic zombie simulator? My question is, why were female character and their periods left out? I want allergies. People should be getting sea sick on boats. Characters should be randomly allergic to different things like gun powder. Hemorrhoids, people riding on ATVs, bikes and motorcycles should get hemorrhoids. This mod can not be complete without maxipads, tampons, midol and preparation H.

The game doesn't finish the update until you run the game from steam without -beta launch options. If you've done a lot of manual updates you need to run reverify game cache of Arma 2 then run the game. Then you need to do the same for Arrowhead.

Take damage some how. Have a friend shoot you with a weapon that won't kill you. Take damage from a zombie. Anything. Then patch yourself up and wait 3 minutes. Log out and then log in.

I've been told this isn't the final version of build 1.62 but version 1.62.95.248 is being installed by steam. Can anyone verify if 1.62.95.248 is being installed by the 1.62 standalone patch? If you launch the game through steam or a shortcut and steam has updated the game and you are having problems you probably need to edit your launch options and revert them back to normal by excluding the -beta switch string. Basically the game will run just fine after the update if everything installed correctly with just the launch options -mod=@DayZ

That's the deal, It's not the latest version on the beta website and I don't mean installing from the beta website. I am curious if this 1.62 final patch is the same as 1.62.95.248 beta build. http://www.arma2.com...=folder〈=en I can't install it with my version but I'm trying to manually find the extracted files to see.

You guys are going ape nuts over a problem in an alpha game that simply needs to be fixed. This is one of those times where 'it's alpha' actually works. The game this, fairness that, who cares who duped the crap. Report the duping process and wait for an update and move on with your lives.

It's not a very big deal really, they aren't currently useful for anything. Probably scripted in. What does posting a screenshot or video do?

As the title says. Some guys and I were walking around and suddenly our items were replaced, full inventory with empty coyote bag. I had most of the items already and it deleted my PDW and replaced it with an m1911. It gave me a range finder which I didn't have and more m107 ammo. It also gave me more morphine and pain pills. Deleted my water and food though.

That's exactly what happened. I instantly thought hackers and logged telling my friends to do the same expecting to be killed soon if stayed. People said I was crazy when I told them all my ammo came up missing one day and some guy drove up danced around me for a few seconds killed me then drove off.

I'm not sure if it's because the server has wrong hive but the problem is caused from the hive not being synced to you/server. If you wait it will usually come up before carcass disappears. This isn't caused from not looking at the body in just the perfect angle. You can sit in the same place and eventually the take meat will come up. You will usually get a broken chain soon also, the chain has been lagging behind though and instead of showing when nothing works it shows after things start working again.

How many times I've picked up weapons and ammo from the hacked in crates and NEVER been banned. You have to buy a new Operation arrowhead and you have to change the cd key in the registry. Goog it.

I've thought keys would be great in the game. Then have a rare 1 time use hot wire kit in the loot table.

Edited: I think It may be accidental and will try to talk to admin. My IP is completely blocked from the servers and I'm not actually banned from the server.

What is this ..End Game? There is no end game! When you die and decide that spawning in with a pile of sniper rifles at your feet is making the game too OP for you and you don't play again, that is the "end game". DayZ is the 'end game' of the internet.
