  1. Exactly, Just use BEC and put the names in that you don't want on the server. Use your head with this though. They will not be allowed to stay on the server and will get a warning why. All they have to do is go change their profile name which isn't difficult at all. You aren't banning anyone and you aren't kicking anyone during the middle of gameplay. No harm no foul.

I'm waiting for budweiser and forget pain pills where is the marijuana? Being a Texan I'll support Dr Pepper being put into the mod.

building a DayZ pc.... need advice

The stock heatsinks for the 2500k and 3570k are just fine for reaching nice overclocks. These CPUs are stock at low clocks for efficiency in power consumption not because a normal heatsink can't cool it at higher clocks. Did you apply your own thermal paste? I assumed you OCd the cpu from it's stock 3.3 to 3.7 as that CPU will not hit 3.7Ghz on 4 cores using stock Turbo Boost but only 3.4Ghz. So basically you are telling me you tested your CPU's temps running 1 core? Why? That just seems completely retarded. Or were you hitting +70C @ a turbo boost of 3.4Ghz.? I ask again, did you apply your own thermal paste? http://www.anandtech...3-2100-tested/3 I didn't have to research this. I've tested it all myself. There is no coincidence this article I've never read is virtually saying the same thing. And again, MSI OCI Genie 2 does a perfectly fine job of auto adjusting voltages for simple overclocks for new users. It doesn't magically pick a number, it's tested for certain cpu's, detects the cpu and overclocks it with tested voltages. If anything they are pretty lax on the OC and the voltages not even taking it as far as it can go. Some CPU's can handle same clocks at lower voltages even though they are exactly the same. For instance at 1.28 volts and 4.3Ghz OC my CPU runs perfectly stable while someone else may need 1.3V at 4.2Ghz to be stable. Therefor OC Genie 2 Auto overclocks a 2500k to 4.2Ghz with a voltage of 1.3 just to make sure it will be stable. Is it possible to get stability with a lower voltage? yes! Is 1.3 overvolting, hell no. You are an idiot if you think 1.3V to a i5 2500k is overvolting and it will NEVER auto adjust over 1.3v. I haven't stated anything about which drivers are better just that nvidia tends to have better performance when a game is released and it usually takes ati a little longer to release new drivers. I've a computer running 3 ati cards in xfire, I'm no fanboy of anything, I just don't normally use it for gaming. ATI is typically playing catchup in both aspects, performance and drivers. Yes go ahead by all means get a 7950 today while you are on a budget and when the next huge game is released and they are focusing on their new cards and have stuck your capable 7950s to the back of the line on support with drivers watch people with 580s blow it out of the water for a month. All for what, 10 fps while both cards have optimal drivers? And yes you are right, a 670 would be a better buy currently. An even better buy would be a used card <300 for someone on a budget.

Whats going on with US 1560?

There are only two reasons you are allowed to lock a server and it should be no longer than 5 minutes or you risk being blacklisted. -lop You will be blacklisted for keeping a server locked to keep cheaters out. Server admins should do a little bit of research before purchasing a server. They should know exactly what they are getting into. Purchasing a server comes with rules if you don't like the rules don't purchase the server.

    Should my Laptop do this?

I would have recommended at at least buying this one. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834230408 For that price you could build a BEAST of a desktop though. Later in the year you should be able to build a pretty powerful gaming desktop relatively cheap depending on what you already have and how much you want to spend on a video card.

    Should my Laptop do this?

Laptops don't usually have the ability to upgrade for gaming needs. Who told you it would get good fps? People who work the floor at places like bestbuy/frys never have a clue what they are talking about and just want to sale you anything they can. I would return the computer and tell them it doesn't give you the performance you were promised.

    Should my Laptop do this?

No ram isn't going to help, those are normal FPS for your laptop in this game. I'm not sure what is limiting your fps. You could download moo0 and see if it's likely the CPU. http://www.moo0.com/.../SystemMonitor/ You can see if it's your graphics card by lowering your resolution and seeing if it improves FPS. In the end buying a cheap laptop is never a great idea for gaming. If you bought this laptop for gaming I would return it.

1st person only, waypoints, what more?

And exactly the reason I prefer 3rd person. Laying in grass should be an advantage not a disadvantage. Being an avid bird/duck hunter first person and laying in grass in this game is completely unrealistic. Even when the grass is a couple of feet tall you can always peek over it pretty easily which is something you can not do in this game. Grass that only seems inches tall in this game completely hinders your view as if your eyeballs have fallen out of their sockets and are literally laying on the ground.
  9. What you can do is add the names you don't want in your server to a list of blocked names and they will not be allowed to join until they make another profile with a different name. This is perfectly fine.

    Physical addresses of hackers?

Are you hearing voices in your head? Where does this WE come from? From reading your other posts I'm positive you need to seek psychiatric help.
  11. This is dumb. People have lives, they need to sleep.
  12. LunaTiK (DayZ)

1st person only, waypoints, what more?

Because it's quicker in a time consuming game. After you play long enough you don't even need a map so what's the big deal. Don't like it then don't use it.

    Unusual BattlEye ban(one server only)

The admin banned you and battleye is just letting you know why. It's just a local server ban and doesn't actually have anything to do with battleye bans

Whats going on with US 1560?

What good reasons are there to lock a server? You can't just expect people to abandon the servers they played on and the items they worked for like vehicles and tents.
  18. LunaTiK (DayZ)

How to Gut pig and get 8 raw meat lol

Because this wasn't well known and in the bug threads. Show us your duping. You find a bug and instead of checking the bug threads you post a video of how to do it in the gallery thread. Stupid is stupid does. Not that this was an important bug just shows the mentality of most DayZ players being demonstrated.
  19. I think you'll be where you got into the chopper but I'm not positive. Wouldn't mind know the server you were on. Are you sure the server just didn't go down.
  20. LunaTiK (DayZ)

1st person only, waypoints, what more?

Sounds like they need to turn headbob off. One of the dumbest things ever put into games and completely unrealistic.
  21. LunaTiK (DayZ)

    Physical addresses of hackers?

Your local police department has all this information. I would give them a call.
  22. LunaTiK (DayZ)

Easy method of seeing just how many hackers there are

Knowing that hackers are going to target high population servers and servers with the chat turned on, I don't play on them. So yeah, I don't get hacked often at all any more. It's been a while actually. And no what Baz said is not true. Actually, servers with name tags on are less likely to get hit.

You completely missed the point. When a new game is released nvidia tends to out perform ati cards. It tends to take ATI longer to release driver support for games that are popular but not the number one game being sold and sometimes even the number one game IE BF3. History also proves that older nvidia cards tend to out perform older ati cards in new games when using them on a game where they barely meet "minimum requirements" leaving you more room to upgrade when prices are better. Yes, a month down the road ati performance will be back to where it should be in most of these cases but still, who wants to risk having to play a game with a powerful card and bad performance just because driver support is lacking? I see this time and time again with the ability to compare a bunch of computers with similar specs. When BF3 was released 8800s were out performing ATI cards they shouldn't even have been able to touch. If you were getting over 70+ with an i5 at 3.7Ghz something else was likely wrong, maybe you were over volting it yourself, maybe the thermal paste wasn't applied correcty. I use a p182 case(built like fort knox check below) with only two case fans, vacuum cleaner filters to keep dust out and stock cooling. I didn't get to 70C playing anything and that was at 4.5Ghz at 1.28v. I've lowered it to 4.3Ghz as my CPU wasn't being taxed enough to warrant a 4.5 OC even while live streaming at 720p using xsplit. I can easily setup a webcam with the case completely open and stream a game live with performance monitors. With Prime95 I do see temps around +70C and that isn't anything to worry about as it's an extremely safe temp. I ran a q9550 in this case OC from 2.8Ghz to 3.8Ghz on stock cooling for like 4 years I believe with the cpu normally hitting temps of 90C under load. I don't buy into the entire need to keep your CPU at below 40C or it's going to fry. Unless there is a problem that is making your CPU run hotter than it should there is no reason to worry about high CPU temps unless it's putting out so much heat it's making your room uncomfortable or hitting the thermal threshold. I don't recommend people run there CPUs at 90C as you aren't leaving much room for overheating your cpu. I absolutely laugh at the retards who think they need these overpriced cases practically made out of fans. I would have loved to hear the conversation by two asian guys coming up with methods to get people to pay way more than they should for a pos. Like putting a spoiler on a civic. I have seen no over volting by OC genie on any msi system and exactly why I advise new pc gaming enthusiasts msi military grade boards. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811129026

I've just noted that in recent history in my realm of lan parties nvidia cards typically do far better for newly released games. When you have 30 computers to compare results with actual gameplay it seems nvidia is superior in support with driver updates. The thing about overclocking these days especially with a chip like the i5 2500k which can reach 4.2-4.5Ghz on stock cooling without going over 70C and completely stable on MSI boards and all you have to do is change one setting in the bios you don't really need to learn much of anything. i5 2500k OC to 4.2Ghz on stock cooling without breaking 55C is amazing.
