daddydustin replied to ixampano1's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
No, you probably want to upgrade that CPU to at least a Quad core and and maybe 2 GBs more ram. You can always try to download the demo of arma 2, to see if you can -
It would be a good idea, but sometimes the server doesn't save it when it is restarted.

Should the Mod be abandoned

Keep adding patches for a few more months so that it is playable, to some sort of standpoint then ditch the mod for the standalone -

So I finally get to Misty Peak
daddydustin replied to Siignal's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
One mishap on a single piece of code can cause a lot in random areas of your entire code. I have been in 3 different computer classes that dealt with code throughout an entire year, compared to what I did to what they do is very complex and hard for them. Everything has to align within the code to make everything work, plus they have to deal with the new beta patch for arma 2 as well to make things align in their code. It also could be a feature to stop server hoppers. -

Blame people that rushed Rocket and his team to make a hotfix instead of a full patch. That's just me -

Its what happens when people complain about wanting a hotfix or a patch now. Makes things get rushed when it doesn't need to be

To many people love to complain -
Depending on the server difficulty, you can see each other on the map if your close enough. I believe when you crouch walk to the left and right makes no sound, and also the rolling when prone. You could have also been spotted with a thermal. Or you very unlucky by him finding you

Hackers are getting globally banned every day, you might not know that. Its just like crime in real life, its going to take time to catch people in the act. Of course DayZ is going to have huge issues because it is a mod for a game that has been out since 2009 on an outdated engine. Plus he added things to the game that you shouldn't really been able to do so those will be big problem starters. Shit happens, no game or mod will be perfect. You will be back on DayZ in like a few days or a week

Coast Spawning, Please Explain.

I think the problem is that the servers save points were reset during the patches, or the servers are not saving your log out point -

He said he was going to do a full patch, but people complained that they wanted a hotfix. So he had to rush things and now we are at this point where the game got rushed cause people can not stop agruing- 261 replies

To start it off, over half of the forums complained about the graphical issues for weeks. Even though we all knew he was working on it to fix it, he even tried to add more things to the game to make it better so he decided to do a full patch instead of a hotfix he has been doing for a few weeks. But you people agrued that he needed to do a hotfix now for the graphical errors and other things. So he then did a hotfix, guess what, it didn't even work for most people, and now there is more problems with the game with spawning on the coast instead of spawning where ever you were before the patch. I was for the full patch but you guys decided to complain way to much than needed. Now we have the same and more problems than before. Maybe Rocket was teaching most of you a lesson, to have patience and wait for the good things to happen. I don't know, that's my rant for this patch.
