But really... 30-06 is very similar to 7.62x51 in performance at Normal range, but 9mm Makarov and 7.92 are VERY different (Not saying 7.92 is a Must-have, just an example) and would make for an Entirely different weapon. If they're trying to have less Calibers that are pretty much the same, than theres no reason for 30-06. Something like 30-30 or some other Shit would provide different Gameplay and justified Being added. -

Oh god yes. Since the mod days i don't know how many times I've made lists of guns and Mod features i wanted to add. I've even gone as far to Customize maps and Make custom crates with the Guns from Arma mods. Unfortunately, that's as far as my Mod-Making skills go. -

Then why add 30-06? Couldn't this "Compromise" just leave the Blazer as it is? My understanding is the Blazer doesn't use 30-06 anyway, so what would be the point? Why not 7.92 Mauser, so we atleast get a G98? But a Parabellum Makarov, P-64, and other 9x18 guns isn't even possible. The guns are to small and not made for such a High-pressure (Lol) round like 9x19. by CZ i meant CZ-82/3, a Czech 9x18 Service Pistol. -

I would be ok with this If 1: The time you can survive without food was doubled, and 2, Blood regen was just if you are not Hungry, not Wet, not Thirsty and not Moving. Maybe being in the shade would also help? -
Sounds fun. I imagine it would look a little like those Civilian M1 Carbines with folding stocks from the '50s. Also wish we could cut down the Mosin and Blazer. But the SKS can't be sawed-off due to it's mechanism. (That "Secound Barrel" above the real one Isn't for looks)

All i saw was... No 9x18 Srsly, what makes more sense here.. Double-barrel $1000000 rifles with American bullets, Modern .338 Sniper rifles, but no Ubiquitous Makarovs, CZs, APS, Skorpian, P-64s? Honestly... that makes no sense to me. 9x18 and 7.62x25 would allow for an entire line of weapons that fill different roles, fit the Scenario and are very "Survivor" like. Or, we could increase sniping. -

Here's something i've been doing. Google Earth street view. In the Area chernarus is set in (NOT Czech Republic), and the rest of Russia to, the most common car is the Lada, usaully white. There is also a huge gaggle of Western and Eastern modern cars, with vehicles like the UAZ being very rare. So not every car has to be Eastern or old, aslong as it is post-soviet and not $1k million it would probably be in Chernarus. (With the exeption of American cars) -

The game shouldn't cater to either groups or Solo. I also play solo and i can understand what you mean, but this is the disadvantage of Playing solo. And it should remain that way. THE POINT of having one gun limited in CQC isn't so you can just switch to a carbine, it's so you have to choose between either range or close range, and not be able to go from CoD to xXprosniprzXx in a few secounds. This is how it is in virtually every FPS and somewhat IRL, where carrying two 10pnd, long, cumbersome rifles and 150+ pounds of gear isn't really practically, especially if your in a survival situation. My suggestion for you would be to just use an SKS - it's surprisingly easy to hit people with - or a Mosin and a Magnum, which drops players very quickly. and not bite off more than you can chew (Attacking groups that are to big for you to kill before they can close in) and you shouldn't have a problem. I don't.

Your title sounds a bit odd - as if your Demanding that the Dev's do it. Not sure if it's just that English isn't your native language or not, but i would throw a couple of "Should"s in there for it to sound better. But yeah. Some shit really needs to be buffed. Unless i can get a few of the pellets in the head, the shotgun seems completely useless and LOUD. The Blaze is decent but it seems to do less damage than the Mosin. Not sure on that though. And .22s... fists are more lethal. Really needs a buff. Pistols, to, are extremely bad. Even .45, which is renouned for it's stopping power, takes up to eight shots to kill. Four sounds better to me. Something like 3000 damage in mod terms. 9mm, to, really needs to be buffed. Rn the Python drops people in only a few hits (Or did last time i used it) and really is the only usefull sidearm. However, probably the worst part is magazines. Pistol and .22 mags only spawn in Firestations and military buildings, even though pistols spawn in Police Stations and .22s spawn in civil areas. This basically means that even if you find a gun, you still have to hit up a few military bases to make it worth carrying. And by that time you've found x5 60rnd Stanags and $1000 worth of M4 accessories, so what's the point of the .22? We at least need 10rnd .22 spawning in civilian spawns and pistol mags actually in the gun. -
The round is much smaller aswell. It won't hold any more stopping power than a Tokarev but may penetrate Kevlar better, also like the Tokarev. Damn.. with i knew if a dev saw this. They should add somekind of "Dev was here!" Thingy.

Maybe not the T-72 as it would end up running over fresh spawns for 99.9% of it's lifetime, and blowing up defenceless people with Small arms the rest. For armor i would like to see something like a turretless BRDM or a museum piece tank like a T-26 or SU-76 that the player would have to completely repair and the gun wouldn't work on. These, especially the SU, (Which has an open top) would be extremely venerable to Molotov's and Explosives but their MGs could dish out some damage. For smaller, a BTR-40. But military guns being more common than Civilian? I doubt it. The CDF isn't exactly a large force and any guns that actaully left the military bases would be quickly picked up and stored by survivors. Plus, if everyone can get an Assault rifle so quickly - we will probably end up with something like Overwatch private hives. (Absolute complete PvP). Completely agree on DShKs though. My favorite MG :/ hopefully we will be able to mount PKMs on trucks to. (The CDF did use UAZs with DShKs, to) And there are already wrecked Urals and UAZs...

Aww yeah :) Hopefully the LRS for the Mosin will be removed and accuracy will be decreased. There are (So i've heard) scopes that fit into the sight mount (Remove actaul rear sight) on a Mosin but i don't know if that's true. -

I wish i could help you but i'm getting to busy to even play DayZ much - and wirh H1Z1 i don't think i will for a bit. If i were you i would go message some of the people you want to take over - it doesn't seem they're doing making any moves. And guys - with the hive economy i hope we get some rare guns. Like Nagant 1895 - 20,000. C96 - 10,000. G43 - 5000 - ect, as Novelty guns for people to look out for to keep in their soon-to-come bases. -

They will probably add an M16A-2/4 at some point. The Soviets also made ammo up to the 1980s, so theres plenty of military surplus around along with commercial ammo. These guns will likely still be used for years as they're almost indestructible. Hell, the Soviet soldiers loved them so much they often prefered them over the Tokarev, mainly becuase of simplicity and accuracy, and they were only fully replaced by the late 1950s. There are two million floating around and most probably weren't sent to Africa like the DPs and other weapons. They are reasonably common in Russia apparently, and they were used in Kazakhstan (which chernarus is right next to) up to the late 90s and 2000s. I'de say if we get a .357, then we need the notorious Nagant.

True, true. I just hate the AK-74 having no advantages over the ARs in the mod - Stanag magazines were x2 as common as AK mags and the AKs sights were no good past 200m max. Except for the AKM, the AK-series were just basically starter weapons as people dropped them whenever an M4 or M16 came along. Same with Shotguns. And they were actaully rarer than them! I just hope the AK-74 will have some advantages to make it a reasonable choice over an M4 besides rarity, such as full-auto as i mentioned.

Yeah in the mod the bike lost about 5km/h offroad while the cars lost up to 80km/h Hopefully it doesn't stay that way in SA. -
Ikr? To me this gun screams apocalypse, but i've never seen it in any non-wwii movie or any game besides RO becuase it's not as well known as the newer designs. Plus its got dat soviet look :/

Mm... I'm pretty sure the In-game name is M4A1, which is the full-auto variant. I haven't really payed attention though. I would personally rather see the M4, (Along with fixed accuracy) as it would make the AK-74 a better choice at CQC Than the M4 as it could full-auto beast mode while the M4 guy has to spam his trigger, so people would actually use the '74.
