Works great for me, even on my $700 laptop. Turn your video settings to "low" And if you really hate nighttime, turn your Gamma up. Just know you'll be called a noob for it. As for the game Zombies are incredibly stupid, but apparently they're just a placeholder I haven't encountered any other major bugs Loot system is much morr balanced. After 6 hours i ended up with Camoflauged shirt and pants, Kevlar Helmet, resperator, Axe, knife, Pistol with a ton of ammo, tons of food, Backpack and i truckload of Mosin and shotgun ammo Overall, i'm liking it better than when i played infestation on my friends computer Great job Rocket & Co! -

Scouting for vehicle spawns, bases, and enemy groups. Once on a Private hive i co-operatee with a Clan, telling them where the bandits were heading, hiding, holding, ect. Great victory for the Heros that day. Then i rammed their Car, with all of them inside... :/ But really, the only use for it is scouting or cheap transport. Until your good you'll spend more time landing than flyng. Ontop of that, theres only a set number of places big enought to both land a plane AND take off. I neve expect to keep them very long. Pros: Low maintenance Fast Holds a ton of people and shit Relatively quieter than the Helis, and you can cut the engine for absolute stealth. Cons: Hard to land Easy to stall Had to hide Fuel-hungry Easy to blow up while landing on uneven terrain Can't just land to loot every heli crash you see Can't effectively be used for looting cities, especially small villages. -

Dirt Wall ( Arma 2 trench) Tools: ETOOL Enchantment: Short dirt wall, bairly high enough to hide behind. Use for Make-shift defences. Only buildable on grass/dirt. Deletes itslf after 2 days. -

Input: Supply crate, confrey (Or whatever the fuck they're called) leaves, or camo net. Output: Hidden crate (Placeable object) Tools: None Fail chance: 0 Enchantment: Box with a camoflauged cover over it. 20 Objects, 3 weapons, 1 backpack storage. Plus maybe an un-camofluaged one? -

Gave up trying to stop them from attacking me. Killed a patrol a 3 of them near polana while they were looting a Trashy Mi17 crash site with 2 motorcycles. They arne't exactly well equipped - i occasionally see them carrying DMRs, M14s, and LMgs but when they are just looting they use junk M4s and AK-74s. Its a small group though 6 max But i haven't done anything to piss them off. The only people i've killed recently is 2 bandits and a guy with an enfield who thinks he's a sniper. Haven't stolen anything either. I used to be on good enough terms with them for trading, giving rides, and they even showed me their base. I seem to be unable to locate it now that i need to... but ever since i picked up that gun, BLAM BLAM BLAM. But goodbye hero skin! Time to ditch my civilian clothing and wear my Ghillie full time, and re-visit my favorite sniping spot. -
I like to get the Snipers names and then add them as a "friend" and dayz commander. Then, when they server hop, get behind where they were and join the server they switched to. May be considered cheating, but, hey, they did it first.

Well, i'de assume the PPSh would have alot of recoil firing at 1000 RPM, but its a pretty heavy gun with the drum. There should be the 35-round and Drum though. As for them actaully being there, Millions of Pps-43/2s and over 6 million Ppsh-41s were made, and both are extremely reliable, and i'm sure many victorious Red Army soldiers brought their service weapons home in 1945. But even then, the PPs was made into the 1950s, and some were sold to civllians. But a Chernarussian farmer would have little use for such a weapon, unless he was really, really, mad at a deer he was hunting. But as chaingunfighter said there was a civil war in Chernarus and i doupt every Insurgent gave up after the main movement was destroyed. There would probably be a >Few< Submachine guns around. Very rare, but ocasionally found in, maybe a townhouse? But it appears from the livestream that the guns available on the Alpha release will be: M4, FN .45, M91/30, and M43 Shotgun. One of every base gun type. And according to rocket, one .45 will put someone on the ground. Finally, realistic guns! -

I was talking more about the PPS-43, becuase the PPSh would be to OP unless it only had the 35-round magazine, or a ton of recoil. Mabye a Vz 52? (Basically, (not mechanically) Czechoslovakia's equivalent to the SKS And the SkS's bayonet is permanently attached to it, much like the M44. There is no way to mount it otherwise. -

The only non-enterable buildings i saw in the Dec 7th stream was a townhouse and the destroyed hotel. And with Military loot being rare, not everyone will be rushing for the firestations again. That means every Townhouse, farm, and random shed areclootable also. Thats going to completely change the game. You won't need a "loot route" (IE: looting stary and NW all day) and you can go anywhere in the map and still get respectable loot. And guns - You won't be able to get even a Shotgun 10 minutes after spawning. The best you could hope for ( if they actaully re-balance the loot like they said they were going to before alpha) is a knife. So goodby CoD kids and your AKs camping elektro. My plan is to stalk around in those New apartments with my trusty Mosin and bayonet.... -

I've tried all the mods on commander. Mainly i spent most of my time on Overwatch and Origins (My first mod :p) Now i only play vanilla But in SA there will be no mods until post-alpha. (Most likely) But the original mod will inevitably die. I may get on there from ti.e to time just to PvP or show friends the old version Death to Epoch Regime! -

I don't have a problem with it aslong as you have to repair them, or its not over 200 cars. I've played on servers where theres a car every 100m along the coastaly road and you spawn with a DMR. If i'm playing with extra vehicles, i prefer to have to repair them, and get my own guns/gear

Lol that would be sweet. Raid someone, leave a tape and tape player with you finding their base, or killing them, ect. But hard and impractical to implement.

I'm sure Rocket will allow mods. After all, he was an Arma modder before Releasing the dayz >Mod< But i do agree. Epoch sucks but everyone plays that, so its mainly populated by Noobs who bitch when their Elektro hill bas is griefed or the get run over by one of the 753567644 Cars per server. And then vanilla dayz is mostly "999 Vehicles! AS50 TWS spawn loadout!" Servers. Vanilla DayZ is my favorite. But don't get me wrong, i like mods.

For the Stealing parts off locked guns. Yes, you could, but you'll probably still have a functioning rifle as a doupt someone will take all the parts off and keep all of their parts in their inventory.
