Love it. Always though either an Mi-2 or this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-4 And a Mi-8/17. Or this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-6 And, dis:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Mil_Mi-12_aug_2008_2.jpg Although none are in flying condition anymore, and only 2 were built.... But really, unless we can heavily camouflage Vehicles/tents, no helis.

IF helicopters are added, they should add a Mount for a DshK on a Pickup. Maybe a Minitripod to. But not fixed AA guns. BTW, the chances of a 1930s era German ineffective flak gun being fully functional in an active military base is virtaully 0, unless its in Africa or the middle east, but even then, practically 0.

AK can also be zeroed to 1000m.

Only the real retards want PVP removed. What most people want is more interactive than a few trigger pulls everytime they see a player. As of right now, all there is to do is KoS fresh spawns. I will never do that. I camp in a barracks waiting for hoppers to test my Mosin on, or snipe the Vybor mil base. What i want is reasons not to KoS, and less reason to do it. Right now, i might aswell play CoD. Its 24/7 Free-for-all in a chernarus rn, Theres literally no interaction at all. In the mod, is virtaully opposite rn. Especially since half the people i've seen are Christmas noobs. Peoples reason for doing it is "Thats what would happen irl" Thats far from true. Irl there would be 5 or more Billion zombies to worry about. especially early on, people would be banding together. Safety in numbers. If you tried to go around killing everyone irl you wouldn't last long. -
I agree. I've been havinv tons of fresh spawns rush at me swinging theg haven't gotten me yet, but i'm down to 5 magnum rounds...

Just though it would be cool if you could pull the pin but hold the clip on the soon-to-be grenades. So something like this could play out. You come across a player, telp him to put his hands up. He pulls out a grenade and holds the clip on. He threatens to let if go if you don't leave, and it will surely kill you and/or destroy all his gear. So you leave him, he puts the pin back in, and walks away. If you shoot him, the nade drops and you die. Also, set traps. Tripwires, which don't need grenades, but any explosive. Then theres setting a heavy object onto an armed grenade without the pin. When someone moves tge item, it goes off. And heres an unrelated trap. I though it up a few years ago while bored. Basically, you get a tube, put a pin at the bottem, and put a bullet ontop the pin. You then bury it up to the nose of the bullet. When its stepped on, the pin is drivin into the Primer, setting the round off and effectively blowing the victim's leg off.

My bet is they put it in a small pipe to contain some of the gas. I was just looking for it on the internet, but all i found was putting explosives into bullets instead of gunpowder, which apparently destroys the gun and injures the firer. That would be awsome. And how about landmines? I would like to see some more traps to discourage raiding Maybe booby-trapped tents

Hmmm... i just looked it up. Apparently it was used by the Japanese in WWII and worked. I'll neee to check the book out from the library to see how exactly they did it.

I had asked my grandpa about the war when i was a kid. He told me he had a P38 and a German officers hat his officer took as "contraband". Not that long ago i read that that was pretty common because some officers wanted the stuffs. I guess thats where the mag came from. Also forgot, there was a bunch of 7.92 mauser in the box. Idk why he took that shit home...

Currently about to suicide with fully decked mosin = 2 pu on long range scope, a ton of food, mountain backpack, helmet, full camo ect, becuase i'm bored. This is what i'm going to do. Rule 1: Don't take an M4 Rule 2: have no more than 60 Rifle rounds Rule 3: have no more than 30 pistol rounds Rule 4: only have 1 melee Rule 5: Avoid other survivors. Don't actively seek them out/follow them unless bored/dieing Besides the ammo thing, thats how i would go about surviving Irl. In game, i'm hopeing it will add more thrill to actaully surviving instead of sniping server hoppers near vybor, which is what i've been doing. Post your alternate playstyles here, and try out this one/others!

They have different people working on different stuff. Basically, you want the modelers to code animals? From what i've heard they have a sound guy, gun/weapon team/guy, ect. Might be wrong though. -
Always wanted something like that. I found one in my late grandparents attic. Iron cross, a French helmet, my grandpa's Dress uniform, webbing/belt, and helmet, and a P38 magazine along with a few French coins. Kind of an odd osortment of stuff, but awsome none-the-less.

900,000 People have already bought the game, and many more will buy it. the chances of encountering someone with one would be very, very slim, especially since most would be stashed in tents up north forever.

Norris is Obsessed... If a Tokarev is added, it should be 7,63X25 but can use 7.62x25. would just be a cool little thing. Just an FYI, Over 1 million were made in Germany between 1896-1937, and unknown numbers were made in Spain and China. They were used by the Russian military extensively, and the round was modified to become 7.62 Tokarev. They were used all over the world, from the world wars, Revolutions, and one of the latest uses, the 1979-89 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the later American Invasion. Hundereds of thousands were sold on the civilian market all over the world, mostly Europe. Although no longer a common sight (In America, atleast) there are undoubtedly atleast 500,000 hidden in Desks and under beds around the world. I don't see why they wouldn't be in Chernarus.

OP All I heard in your post was "I want A barret because I'm entiled to it because I don't like PSO scopes" Its not about what one, single person likes, its about what the majority wants. Those are the only two that make any sense, but even then shouldn't be ingame because of these reasons: Weight. They both weigh almost 30lbs. the rounds weigh about 50gs each are over 5in long. try carring that around. Size. the KSVK is 1420mm long, and the OSV is 1700mm. The AKM is 800MM. Noise. .50s are extremely loud, and one shot would attract every zombie within 1000M. Use. They are not made for sniping. they're made for taking out vehicles from miles away, usually in deserts, which is impossible in Chernarus due to sight line limits. I would NEVER even touch one IRL, but some Idiots would and would end up having their faces eaten off. IF one is added, it needs these Realistic nerfs Cannot be fired unless prone Slows character down by %50 One 5-rnd magazine takes 4 Inventory. rounds cannot be stacked. Extremly loud Extreme Recoil Ammo only found in wrecked BMPS, T-72s and UAZs, extremely rarely. only 2000 guns can exist at any time.

Exactly. My guess is he played the 999 vehicles servers with M4 SD Gl on spawning and DMRs in your backpacks. And "teleporting" between places? One of the biggest features of DayZ is the Giant map, which forces players to do more than simply walking 20m on spawning, dieing, respawning with their gear, and going back for more. IRL you can't "teleport" anywhere you want. You have to walk there. Whats the point of a giant map if you get a car after spawning? DayZ is hardcore. Its NOT a PVP game (although currently thats all there is to do) so why don't you explorr a bit instead of crying becuase you can't spawn at Balota and get an M4 5 minutes later. Don't like it? Try a Shooter. -
My beef with aircraft isn't size, type, or amorment. Its the fact that a single player with a chopper or plane can find an raid every base on the server withinva day, and go from Kemenka to NEAF in 10 minutes. Theres virtually no fix for that, other tank throwing branches onto your tents, but it would probably still be to easy to see them. If we're going to have aircraft, it needs to be the good 'ol An-2 in Airline Blue/white colors, with an Increased fuel usage and less visibility from flying inside. It needs to be loud, hard to fly, and have a 1/100 chance every minute for the engine to randomly stop while flying, and no Auto-Parachutee that you magically have! Othe than that, i see no place for Aircraft in DayZ.

There was a mod in the mod that had that. Epidemic, i think. A town would be bombed then the HAZMATS would move in with OP weapons and wipe the Zeds out of the town. I personally don't think AI should be in SA though, becuase they're to easy to kill -
Any hope for adding, say a scope to a Lee Enfield later? Also, is the reason you are "Testing" The Machinegun Trucks is becuase they might be added? :/

Presumably the infected did some looting before turning Random heli flys across the map. Following it will lead to a loot stash
