Why do people hate western guns?

Hope they add an RPK-74 (Or rpk-74m), becuase suppression was so effective in the mod, just likr irl. Your afraid of losing your gear/life,so you duck, and become trapped while your enemy flanks you.

    Other World War 2 weapons

Not any of the automatics. And as for museums, 99 99% of guns in museums or deactivated, unless they're old, like bolt-actions, revolvers and muskets.

    Mauser C96

I would rather see an APS Though. Fitted with the stock and suppressor, It would be a deadly pistol with common ammo. Rather rare, though.

    Mauser C96

Germany, Russia, China, Turkey, Mexico, Finland, Italy, Ottoman Empire, Spain, Hungry, Brazil, and even Britain used them in limited numbers. Mostly Germany, China and Russia.

For the two guys that saved my life...

I usually just try to avoid. I haven't been KoSed in a while and haven't had anyone try to rob me. I find the trick is to play on servers with less than 20 people. Most people are on there to avoid Deathmatchs. I've not really had anyone help me though. In elektro a few days back i was looting a supermarket and saw a guy with an M4 standing in the doorway, gun lowed. He had obviously seen me but didn't even raise his weapon. I was equipped with a Mosin, red motorbike helmet and an axe, so he knew i wasn't a fresh spawn. So i quickly ran out the back door, and hid in some houses until he tried to loot them. I stalked him for 10+ mins until he saw me. Even then, he just jumped behind a hay bail. Anyway, it just goes to show, not everyone will blow your face off.

What ever you do, Don't mix DayZ files with Arma 3...

Tried it in arma 2. It worked. Although there may have been a lack of trees, rocks, buildings, roads...

    Horses, the almost perfect "vehicle"

I'll be honest, i was nevee really into the horse idea. Then i sat down and thought about it, and now i'm pretty excited about them. For some reason i have this image of running across a guy with a horse on the road near green mountain, his horse bucking, him wielding a sawed-off, and me with my Mosin with (hopefully working) bayonet pointed at him. 21st century pikeman... But they wouldn't be very effective. To keep them from running off while you were gone, you would need a lead to tie them up. Don't got one? Well, you better hope it doesn't wander to far away. Gunfire would spook them, but the more they're around it the better theg'll be with it. Adding a benefit to stealing a horse. Some would be faster than others. Some would be stronger. Health shouldn't be much more than the players, though. And if your horse is shot, it won't just die. It will lie on the ground, whining, forcing you to finish it. A similar system of broken legs would also be nice. They're bodies should also be useable as cover. And you should be able to have a friend ride behind you. A few more images i had: gunning down a rider in the middle of a field, forcing him to take cover behind his dieing horse. Groups riding horses and holding flaming torches riding up the coast, wearing clown masks and carrying shotguns, "exterminating" freshspawns. Although even getting simple horses in would be a pain in the ass.
  11. Actaully if memory serves only special forces were on the mainland. Marines invaded Utes island. I played the ArmA 2 campaign about a year ago though, so i don't really remember. Could be wrong. The M4 was only used by the officers aswell.
  12. I'm planning on making a gun thread after my Nagant thread dies/i know a dev saw it. Don't wanna spam TO much...

    Patch regularity

One month is fine. You can't force work if you want any quality. What i want is after tge game is "done," that every month we get a new gun, item, backpack, vehicle variant, ect. To keep people hunting for new stuff.
  14. And make coupled mags realistic. Maybe add an AR-15 and move the CMAGs to civilian loot spawns.

    Izh43 shotgun test/comparison

How big is the standard compared to the sawed off (Backpack wise.) I'm planning on carrying a sawed-off along with my mosin and Python. Also, did you find this in an office building? Has anyone found one anywhere else?

World War 2 Weapons Thread (Poll)

Grunty, you need to lay off the haterade, but you've got a good point. heres all you need to know about whats going to be there: The local Slavic population constantly had to fight off the raiders from the southwest so it was traditionally bound with Russia, but always kept its independence. In the 12th Century it was controlled by dukes, in the 13th century it was united by Taras Kozub. The Kozub dynasty ruled until 1631, when Chernarus joined the Russian empire. After the revolution in 1917 Chernarus became an autonomic federal republic, after the demise of the USSR in 1991 it gained independence. http://www.arma2.com/arma-2/arma-2-chernarus/140-chernarus.html Chernarussian military has been trained by Western armies in past years, but it retains weapons and equipment of the Soviet Army, its direct predecessor. Its main task during the past years for was to fight challenging counter-insurgecy campaign in the mountaineous regions of Northern Chernarus. CDF Infantry, C. 2009.

Dear developers, hear my plea. [priorities, not additions]

They have people to work on issues. And they have modelers. What, you want the modelers to go home? Its not like its Rocket and two other guys.

    PPSH-41

Really? Prehaps you've heard of something called a TT-33 Tokarev? Something that will pretty much definitely be added. I bet finding a PPs-43 is more common than this though, seeing as its more compact and simple to maintain. Just a guess, though.

    7.62x51 ammo - Useless ammo?

Search Berenzino today i found a box of "7.62x51." My first thought was, new gun! But nope. So basically we get a use for shotgun shells, and another useless item is added? Two bright sides to this though. 1: Probably means theres also 7.62x54 and 7.62x39 2: We now know a NATO Battlerifle or Sniper/DM rifle is upcoming. I really don't see why they couldn't wait till after that gun was added to put it in, though.

    Nagant M1895 - Poll

There is actaully quite alot left. They made it up to the late 70s and most was held in armories until recently. Almost all the ammunition used in Mosins today was made in the same time period. Btw, the Nagant is still used by security guards and in a few police agencys in russia.
