By years, i mean a decade. If it started to long ago, there wouldn't be any zombies or people alive, since they all were killed kr starved. There wouldn't be anything at all in houses, either. And your character would have something more than a flashlight to, right? I suspect the reason they made everything look neglected was becuase it looked "Creepier", or "Cooler" And chernarus wasn't exactly Mr.clean land when it was inhabited, either. The game probably takes place a year after Day Zero, which is plenty of time for burned-out cars to rust and walls to get dirty. -

An-94, AK-12, VSS, Ots-33, AA-12, AS50, ACR, XM8, PKP, M98B, Fn2000, MG36, Glock 18, ect. Then theres the fact that this isn't Hollywood, so... G36 (In any large quantities), L85 (See G36) M249 (Although def minimi) M21, AS val, ect. What you will find are: G3, FAL, M16A1/2/3/4, M4/A1, PKM, FN MAG, MG3, Sterlings, Brens, Vz.58s, older AKs, APS, vast amounts of AKMs, Makarovs, SKSs, Mosin-Nagants, mausers, Lee-Enfields, Tokarevs, M1911s, and some rarer models like M3s, Pps/ppsh, DPs, MG42s, and a few heavy weapons like RPGs, DShKs and M79s. How do i know? This is what actaully turns up irl. And civilian stuff - we can't just have American rifles that don't fit (Winchesters, Colt revolvers, ect) but a few Remington 700s, M1911s, Rugers, Glocks, Berettas, and various shotguns would fit in. There would be alot of TOZ-18s, Makarovs, CZ rifles and pistols, Molot-Bekas, Saigas, and "Sporternized" AKs aswell. Just becuase it could be bought from a shop, doesn't mean it would actually be there. -

Maybe, but with the current damage values it can take 10 M4 shots to kill a player, assuming the M4 is within 5m, to actaully hit them. Besides - it would take years for ammo counts to get that low. -

Yes. I'm hopeing ammo won't spawn in magazines, and it will spawn in boxes, like other types. Will fix this problem I don't believe there are G36 sporters? I'm talking about full-autos, anyway. I don't think it should be added either, but neither should a Ak-12 or An-94. -

Nope. The standard calibers used by Poland were 9mm Parabellum and 7.92x57, which was also the german's standard. And by that logic - every army stopped every year to make more ammo? In the next five years, only 2 and a half were fighting? They stopped for like 8 months to prepair for a much larger operation. Although you may find this hard to imagine, there more to invading a country than just driving tanks into it. And running out of bullets? Fuck no. Theres alot more 7.62x39 than humans. -

I garentee there are more G36s in russia than AK-12s, which weren't adopted, btw. An-94 isn't much more common. -
AS VAL is used more like a Sub-machine gun. VSS is one of those "Hybrid" guns, like the De Lisle, which were for Sniping by special forces, but use low-velocity bullets and aren't suited for anything over a few hundred Meters. I think this should be an EXTREMLY rare weapon, like at crashsites and such. they aren't exactly going to be lying around In some line-infantry barracks. Police stations, maybe.

Pistols should spawn w/Magazines {POLL ADDED}

currently there are 50 FNX's to every FNX magazine. when you purchase a pistol, it comes with one, or even two or three magazines, and new ones can cost between $15-30. Police and military typically carry at the very least one spare magazine attached to the holster, though usually more in a separate pouch. IRL, there are 5 magazines for every gun. But in-game, I haven't found a magazine (Exept on dead players) in 4 weeks. the mags are more valuable than the actual weapon - that's wrong. meanwhile I find 5 M4 mags in each military building. just a general increase in their spawning rate/locations is needed. -
spawning them actually ON the zed and having it be removed when the player removes it is what they were talking about, and what it sound's like your talking about. and that dev blog was probably 5+ months ago, I don't remember exactly when, so I can't find it.

They already made them how they want. The reason they currently don't is becuase they despawn immediately for performance. They will most likely spawn food, ammo, flares, empty cans, ect. Much like they did in the mod. It was confirmed they will NOT spawn with clothes, because it would be hard on performance.

Whenever I'm fed up with this, i just go to a low-pop and stay away from airfields, berenzino, and elektro. I now know an area of the map i never bothered with in the mod - Msta/Staroye/Khelm. Now before anyone starts saying im server hopping - before i go to pvp again, i kill that character and restart on the full-ish servers.

Its not so much the shooting itself - its tge fact that shooting with any accuracy takes some focus, and the speed of a bike, along with the time it takes you to aim, makes it nearly impossible. If you try, the bike will often spin out of control. I'm not the best a bike rideing, but i imagine you could do this more effectively from a motorcycle, becuase they don't tip over if you aren't actively keeping them up.

I like lots of squishy zeds. 4-5 .45 shots sound good untill there are 70 in Olsha and 400 in cherno, at which point looting is impossible and guns would be yseless -
I say we should have variety, to some extent. Fkr instance, we are eventually getting the AK-74M. Why not the AK-74? At first glance, they are the same in performance, but the AK-74M has a folding stock, meaning less inventory space used. Same for AKMS The M16A2 would be more accurate than the M4, but with a limeted CQC capability. Ect. BTW, we already have a battle rifle - The mosin.

I personally think the old loot spawning system is fine, but spawns should decrease on lower-pop servers. I see yours cuassing alot of problems. Mainly it seems like it would be extremely hard to implement and would be glitchy, and as already said, people would hoard everything into random cornors of the map on low-pops. Even if they did get 100/1000 LRSs, thats qiete i significantly chunk of them - and hey, what if some other guy wsnts to do it to? What about the guy who hoards all that 5.56 and .45? He's got nearly 50,000 rounds. While that may be hard, i determined clan, over a long course of time could do it, or atleast taje a good chunk out of the hands of other survivors, just to be trolls.

Let me clear up a misconception: after bikes are added, you will still be running 99.9% of the time, execpt during tge experimental build where they will be tested.

Tried with airsoft. Couldn't hit a 2-Foot wide piece of cardboard 5m away more than once ortwice going at a moderate speed. Conclusion: Hollywood. But maybe: tapeing pistol or sawed-off the handlebars, for if some guy pops out infront.

They probably won't add alot of different ammo types - Indeed, the Nagant 1895 was passed off as "Not likely" becuase it uses a unique cartridge - because they want to save on loot spawns. So you'll see 12 Gauge shottys, 9mm Parabellums, 9mm Makarov, ect. I used to suggest these all the time (Vz.58 being my favorite AR, planning to pick one up) but in game they wouldn't be much of an upgrade over the AKM/SKS. Higher RPM with a M43 gun isn't exactly an advantage, and they aren't much more accurate than the Soviet guns (Especially the Vz.52, since the only variant that would be added is the Vz.57, which is less accurate than it's predecessor). The only real difference, performance wise, is quality, and you wouldn't notice that ingame, besides better iron sights. Btw, the Vz.58 was in the mod, where it was exceptional, becuase it mounted either an ACOG or CCO. -
Who wants to see more Shotguns than any other weapons

Actually shotguns are probably the most common civilian weapon, due to cheap ammo, generall cheapness, and a variety of Recreational, hunting, and self-Defence uses, aswell as actually being legal. But yeah - they aren't so common that you would find 5 shotguns for every one rifle. Btw, Remington 870 is in development.
