I like the idea of wind affecting huntin and also it is a fact that smells and odours travel on the wind, I like the idea of a message poppin up saying 'you smell cooking' then, after working out which way the wind is blowing and then seeing if you can track the smell to its source. Of course we ain't tracker dogs and we would only get an idea of general direction, also would add an element of jeopardy to cooking. would add another level to the game.

nah mate I make my decisions based on the situation and judge each interaction on its merits. I find guys what type tend to be alright, they are basically takin a chance by typing and losing control of the character and putting themselves at yer mercy. 100% of arseholes I met had mics, guys who kill without speaking are fine as far as I'm concerned, they play their way and don't feel the need to blurt out troll bullshit, they have my gratitude for that small kindness. your post is entirely devoid of logic and reasoning and you are realising too late after everyone has noticed. feelin it OP, feelin it. once I met this kid (pre-pube) we was both unarmed so no violence occurred at the start but after 15 minutes of listening to his shrill high pitched squeaking I decided next opportunity he's an ex kid. Eventually I found a shotgun, already had some ammo, by this point he felt secure and had no reason to worry so as he crouched over a pond drinking I stood behind him, loaded the shotty, raised it and blew his head off. To this day the whole thing, pulling out the gun, the loading animation and lining up the back of his head down the sights ( all the while he's squealin on about kill on sight) and the deafening BANG of the shot, him laying face down in the pond and the sad 'oh' that he uttered, all of this amounts to the single most satisfying experience I have ever had in a video game.

If you post on there some numpty will offer to meet you in game LOL Me and my bandit clan are going to start hunting and executing medics to steal the lootz and have some lolz and all you bandits out there NEED to get involved too, lets get a fucking war started and liven things up a bit round here. I reckon the medics will love it really, all that paranoia and suspicion and fear, the only real problem with this system is you can only get away with it once, because they will probably create some kind of blacklist to warn other medics not to treat a member after his wicked betrayal. we have thought of this though, first off there is 7 of us, so that makes 7 fake medic runs in the bag son, what we need after that is other members to make requests for us and join us in the killz and lolz. This also opens up the possibility of members pming us to offer to lure medics out but they are really medics in disguise who want some revenge LOL Fan fucking tastic, bring it on, lets have a war :D

classic dayz moment me and a friend are in the treeline west of starry waiting for a medic and his armed escort to show up, you have to hand to those reddit boys, they don't make it easy. they keep the server secret right up until the final moment, even the medic doesn't know. But like all security systems there is a flaw, a chink in the armour and we found it, we put 2 guys in Reddit, one a medic the other a bodyguard LOL, and this time we were in the server before they were. They work a good system mind you, credit where it's due. give the area a proper going over and position themselves very cleverly to maximize coverage, they use the server hopping/ghosting exploit quite well too, no doubt justifying it to themselves as a necessary safety measure. Anyway, can't sit here yapping all day, the important point is 2 medics and 2 bodyguards shot dead bodies looted and many hearty LOLZ had by all concerned. Toodle pip

been a funny old week of medic murder mayhem. one of our group joined the RRF a few weeks ago and spends a fair amount of time in their teamspeak channel. This was a canny move on our part. number one for us is to make each murder seem completely random and entirely unconnected with the patient and in this we are so far successful. one medic who got killed (by us LOL) while on his way to treat one of us felt so bad he actually spent the rest of the night regearing so he could 'complete the mission' LOL when he finally let us know he was ready to come and give the morphine etc we were waiting, our mole helped him to gear up LOL and we knew exactly where he was going to be. He logged in, now we are not total douches, we see there is no kudos in shooting a guy as he stands paralysed mid login, no, we waited for him to come down to the front door of the house he was in and as soon as the door opened HEADSHOT!!!! we killed our mole too, just to assist in his deep cover, we aint no noobs LOL Now, I wish I could name names, I wish I could post videos but as I'm sure you'll all understand this is a live operation and we have operatives in the field, we must take every precaution to protect these brave soldiers. Soon, when we have either a load of funny killings or we get bored a compilation highlight video shall be forth coming complete with medic teamspeak transcripts of rage and butthurt LOL

some people seem to want the only threat to a players life to be other players and maybe occasionally zombies. I was playing on the experimental build the other day, I think it was sunday night and the servers hadn't been restarted for some reason, for hours. I checked every building in berezino and svet and found nothing but open doors, books and wood piles. It was frantic. I ran inland and it was the same, every town I reached had been stripped bare. I died on the way to starry of starvation, it was awful and it only confirmed to me the joy and pain of this game. My second life I switched server hoping to have more luck, but the same thing happened, elektro bare and every small town and hamlet I desperately searched yielded nothing and again, I died in a field between towns somewhere in the north, of starvation. This was gaming at it's most gloriously frustrating. I spawned again and swam to skalisity, I thought maybe just maybe there'll be something here and again I found I had been beaten to it, the entire hive was looted bare. I died again of starvation and I enjoyed the whole session. Of course, this was a freak occurrence but struggling to find even some fruit was truly incredible as a gaming experience, I found berries a few times but they didn't provide enough nutrition to fuel me for the next leg of my odyssey, I think packaged food should be rare and foraging etc should be improved, of course hunting is coming soon, and maybe fishing too.

you know the type, get themselves all geared up then head straight back to the coast to offer assistance to all the helpless bambis out there. Christ they make me want to vomit. first of all anyone who just spawned on the coast is extremely likely to be very pissed off about dying and losing all their gear, probably at the hands of another player only a few minutes previously. Secondly, there is a very high chance that this helpless bambi is an accomplished KoS player who would try and kill you with a gun, an axe, a kitchen knife or indeed a pair of fists no matter when and where you happen to meet. There is something very odd about players who go to the coast specifically to 'help' fresh spawns. Don't get me wrong, I love genuine and spontaneous acts of human kindness, I myself have occasionally derived a real sense of well being after some chance meeting, a little time spent getting acquainted and establishing that neither one of us is an incurable asshole, it's a real pleasure to share some supplies under such circumstances, a rare and pleasant experience indeed. But actually focusing on seeking that out? making 'heading to the coast to help bambis' your primary aim is just fucking weird, there is something very patronising and arrogant and selfish about those players and when help is forced down my throat, I gotta tell you truth, I often repay it with an act of extreme violence. Stop inflicting your strange need to feel appreciated on otherwise quite content gamers who are busily embarking upon, what for most, is the best part of the game. Gearing up and negotiating the wall of bandits that await in the tree lines and the city scapes ahead, leave them alone and for gods sake stay away from the coast unless you are actively seeking pvp encounters.

that GPU is definitely good enough DEPENDING ON OTHER COMPONENTS. You will need an equally decent CPU too something clocked at around 3.6 ghz or better preferably an i5 or i7 or equivalent. Also a fast HDD or SSD helps with this game.
