Ive been playing this game for awhile, hopped around quite a few servers looking for a place to hang my hat. Either I ran into servers moderated by power hungry admin who abuse players, or servers that dont have any admin at all regulating the asshattery (ie when a hacker gets on and carpet bombs cities, or just starts making the server lag like hell. Ive been on other servers that were decent, had all the options I look for enabled, admin that were on enough to keep the game balanced and fair. The drawback there being nothing was going on other than the bandit/ai missions and everyday PVP. First off I wanna say, I dont know the guys that rub this server, so Im not biased. But this is the first server Ive played on where the admins actually give a shit. Theyre so helpful its almost unimaginable. They help restore lost gear to certain extents, lose your key to a restart or glitch/accidental overloaded back or whatever, they replace it. Someone blow up your vehicle INSIDE your base??? NP. Last and certainly not least, the events.... Now I know other servers hold events, races and such, these guys will roleplay as bandits and set up missions with awesome rewards for you and your friends to team up and earn. They hide Gold and weapon CACHES all over the map and post clues on their forum, they have races too. They are also working on an entire CAMPAIGN where the admin play as bandits, I dont know the specifics, but the events that I participated in were friggen awesome. One example of an EVENT: (Admin Message) The radio springs to life: "A bandit leader is thought to be making an arms deal somewhere near Zelenegorsk. [i dont remember the rest of the message but it had more info in it.] The cool things is, they dont just put a buinch of AI in Zel and teleport themselves there, set up in all the best sniper spots and kill wen they see you.... They actually drive a convoy to the events just as it would happen in real life. Another example: "An MTVR has crashed somewhere near this spot, the bandits (Admin)are holed up in this castle nearby", Waiting for repairs to arrive from other bandits (Admin). During this fight, we were taking too long to accomplish the mission, the next message over the radio went like this: An Apache has been spotted headed towards the crash site to provide support for the bandits. This is wat goes on here, it rocks, have been having tons of fun here. Again, Im not biased towards the server, I dont know the admin, Ive talked to them here an there to ask for help and im not trying to earn brownie points with them by writing this, the point of this post is to inform folks as to what this server is about. The server has a decent population, 20-40 so its not like its loaded with nothing but admin and clans, there are alotta loan wolves and other clans, there are friendly players and Bandit players. i encourage folks to play there and try it out
