May I ask what in the hell are you saying? You have a reading comprehension problem? I'm not talking about The Great Society. I'm talking about a great society in general. Is marihuana use legal in Canada? So I guess you don't consider your country a great society . Just like a doper to spurn his own country over a drug. And to clear up a misunderstanding with your reading comprehension. Why would any great society (general statement - not The Great Society) choose to outlaw anything that, in your eyes, is so beneficial and helpful? Where is this proof that pot has been proven to be the most beneficial plant on the planet? I guess that's why most countries made it illegal. I guess it's there in your alter, drug induced universe. Marihuana has it's uses but not in the way you and your kind use it.

Bringing religion up in such a way is offensive. You have no right to insult people that way (bible thumper remark). That other religious remark although is a very obscure opinion but it is out there. Yeah it was so great for society and how good they can be that most of the world has made them illegal. In New York possession of a small amount of marihuana is not a crime. And possession of mushrooms is a felony. Whether they are terrible, damaging, drugs like heroin, meth etc. the result is the same. Incarceration. Unless you get a good lawyer. I'm talking to some people on a game forum not a convention of drug lawyers. I made an over generalized statement, so sue me. I also am not talking about legal drugs (except taking legal drugs illegally). What the hell is propagandish about talking about being arrested for drugs. It's not propaganda if it's true. I know for a "fact" hallucinogens will get you arrested for a felony. Smoking even marihuana in public will get you arrested for a crime. I guess you have never heard about drug crazed killers before or addiction which causes all sorts of societal problems. When you take mind altering substances you do not know what you will do. Go ahead and say to the countless victims of drug culture, "they're affecting no one but themselves". You as an individual do not determine what is right for the rest of the community. Even in "the land of the free" you don't get to decide what is right for the rest of us who do live in that same community.

Mind altering substances that lead to possible suicide or anti-social behavior you believe should be encouraged as free thought? Laws aren't a barometer of morality. Nazi Germany had many many laws. Laws are a reflection of what a community wants usually voted on and passed by the majority. Dictators usually enact laws dictated by themselves and what the dictator wants. Having antidrug laws is like having a rule on these forums against say, obscenity. Nothing to do with morality. But how people interact with each other. The severity and rank of a law is also voted on. So, anti-social=antisociety. I believe in certain laws because of my morality.

I didn't bring up the child analogy. I was trying to help a person in their chosen frame of reference. As far as this analogy goes, we're talking apples and oranges. I'm talking about learning, not loving. And why is it always coddling just because I know what is before me? Just like I know what stage a person is in their growth cycle. Sorry, but no, it is not a game. It is an Alpha build. Just like the blank is not a frying pan. Yet. Beta, on the other hand, is a totally new ball of wax.Then you have a pretty well established frying pan. Now you can complain why the middle isn't heating like the sides. Do you criticize your children for not behaving as young adults? When they are young adults you can criticize them for doing childish things. Not until.

Timing is everything. Now is not the time to complain about the shape of the handle. The handle ain't on yet. I will give constructive criticism when it is appropriate. To criticize a game when it's not even a game yet is silly.

Let me ask you something. Do you say to your children (if they aren't old enough yet), "hey you need to learn to drive." No, you don't because it's not age appropiate. At this stage of development some of the things you are complaining about are not age appropriate. And it isn't my responsibility, whether or not I paid, to "reprimand", anybody. Chepaco I don't know how many times I can say this. There are lots and lots and lots of things wrong. If it stopped development right now I probably wouldn't play it much longer. But I choose to see it for what it is, a blank. You can't expect a blank to behave as a frying pan no matter how many complaints you put on it. Saying to the blank, "you have no handle" is unreasonable to me. Of course it has no handle. It's a blank.

Chepaco, you shouldn't be splashing hot grease on yourself because you shouldn't be putting hot grease in it in the first place. It's a blank. A promise of a frying pan. Realize what is before you. That is what my OP is all about. It is a blank. It can do no wrong because it's a blank. When it's a frying pan and it spills grease over you, then complain. I never said there was "nothing" wrong with the game. There is a lot wrong with it, now. Of course there is. it's a blank. I just choose to realize what's before me. And sooooooo many other people as well. How can you rightly judge a product that is not even a product yet. I don't worship Dayz, Ok maybe I do, but that's only because it caused me to leave my comfort zone and I was rewarded for doing so. I want this game finished yesterday. But that's not possible and I won't live under an illusion. It's a blank until it's not a blank. I just choose patience.

This is why I have faith that BI will not only finish the game but it will probably be awesome as well. It is not exactly a blind faith either. I play a flight simulator that I almost exclusively play. Falcon 4.0. I love it. With it getting on in years a few ambitious people decided to develope another flight sim called Fighter-Ops. It sounded awsesome. They even sold a place on a special forum if you wanted to help bring the game along. I know a lot of people signed on and paid their money. I didn't. The game never got off the ground. Every now and then they threw bones to their clients like pictures and graphics and stuff. BI does not act like this. Although progress may seem slow there is on-going work and the devs are in communication almost every day. Definitely, weekly. Another series of games I like. Fallout. New Vegas has now been out for quite awhile yet it is unknown whether there is a new game coming. There are rumours of Fallout 4. But no definite word. Is it in development? Don't know. Alphas as past history shows is that this phase of game development is usually done behind closed doors. No public participation except by a chosen few.

Hothtimeblues, I appreciate your attitude. This is constructive talk. I don't have the answers to these concerns because to be honest I have no clue what they are or aren't working on. But I'll go with it will probably be fixed sooner or later as BI's reputation is on the line. They seem to be a reasonably good company that puts quality products out. That's my opinion of course. A company that came out with a product that came out with a mod that for the first time in my life made me want to play a game online. I'm not joking. I never wanted to play a multiplayer game before Dayz.

You know why they are ignored or outright insulted? Because of all the damn warnings, even from the creator, saying not to buy the damn game if they can't handle the Alpha status. That is why. I have already come to the conclusion that these people are either (1) ignorant or (2) trollish. You paid for something with your eyes wide open (well maybe not). The majority seems to overlook all the bad because they know it's in development. I don't know. Millions purchased it. Countless thousands play and watch it on twitch. All seeming to be having a good time overlooking those things not "in" yet. The frying pan blank is drawing this many in. Imagine what the frying pan will do. (sorry in another thread I made and analogy). And please, oh please, don't use the tired excuse that you or they are doing it for the good of the game. It's like saying I beat my wife for her own good. So if you are the trollish type, off with yer. I feel for you man. But it's no use. These people are either ignorant or trollish. Ignorance because given the facts they still refuse to understand. Let me explain. Suppose a company decides to make a frying pan. That frying pan is made out of metal. The metal for the pan is made into a blank for each pan. Ignorance is when you look at that blank and expect it to act like a frying pan. If they do understand the fact but only state things to incite or inflame that is trollish. I don't know which is at work here. Probably more trollish because I can't believe people would be this ignorant. Feeding the trolls has become irksome for me.

Beav, I may be mistaken so take it with a grain of salt. I believe going into and clicking video settings is the bug. The blurriness is telling you that your health status is bad. It will only start to clear when you get your health and/or blood up. You have to be energized and hydrated to get the "healing" green bar. Your vision will start to clear as you get closer to healthy and the healthy bar shows up. I used to think is was a bug too and did exactly that until I read on the forums or watched a video explaining it. If you want to use it so be it. Was it maybe Wobo's videos explaining the whole health, eating and drinking mechanics? Edit: even one hit could drive your health real low. After all they can one shot you and kill you or ruin your gear. All I know is everytime i got the healing bar my vision cleared on it's own.
