OMFG! Officer D, the first video had me literally in tears! One of the best DayZ videos ever!! People at work had to come see what I was dieing over, so i let them watch. They didn't get it. Um, first post I read like this, everyone speaking "American" (LMFAO at that!). Is it because the OP started the thread like that so everyone continued? Or did one psuedo gangsta post bring all the gansta wanna-be's out of the wood work? this is just a question/observation. Because in this survival "role play" simulator DayZ I customized my game dude as a brother, goatee, corn rows and all, and put some gold flashy sunglasses on him. Couldn't find any bling to wear tho. I talk in direct channel to other players as a young inner-city brutha. I have a blast and made a few people laugh with my "simulation" efforts. Peace!

I'm not a bandit. Except for the couple guys I game with using TS I avoid people like the plague. Was playing DayZ alone one one day and was creeping through one of the small interior towns. Accidently tripped a zombie horde. Madly ran into a small building and had to start shooting to protect myself. That only made it worse. As I loaded up my last Makarov mag, listening to all the shreiking right outside the walls I knew I only had about 1 more minute to live, right? Wrong. Suddenly I hear "honk honk". Now I've seen vehicles from a distance but I've never been in one yet. "Honk honk" OMFG it's getting closer! He's coming closer!! Salvation!! or Salvation?? Obviously he could see the swarm of infected outside my building and heard the shots. I hear him pull up close by. "HONK HONK". So I took a deep breath, had visions of the last scene of the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and burst out of the doorway blasting off my last Makarov mag. There beside me was a glorious white 4x4 pick-up truck. I zig-zagged thru walkers and hoped in. The guy took off and we left town. Long story short we built up a bit of trust and "relationship" as I thanked him profusely. By then I had a team speak buddy online but my new friend refused to pick him up. Guess he didnt like being outnumbered so early in our friendship. I needed food and ammo but again he said no. He was after fuel and parts. Anything else we came across by chance was mine he said. So it was a case of "I saved ur life, u can ride along, but on my terms." LOL I respected that. we parted ways an hour later friends. never saw him again. Hope he's ok.

+1 on above post. Had a weird incident late last night as I am 99% survivor and 1% bandit (and that 1% is only to protect my other 99%). On one of my many respawns I ran inland only about 100yds before I stummbled upon a single walker. I turned to run back down the beach in a panic (no Makarov, no nothing of course) as he aggro'd and followed on my heals. As I ran I saw another guy spawn in way ahead of me and stand there looking around. So I ran right to him. I yelled over direct chat "Buddy!! Look to ur right! INCOMING!!" LOL When he saw us I was getting closer to him so he hit the deck. Just layed out flat on the beach. By now I was close to him so I said "Don't worry. The Z is on me. I'll drag him. Just get up and RUUUUN!!" (Anyone see what I'm doing here? LOL) So the guy did. I immediately started to zig zag in and out of a few bushes and the Z broke contact and right away aggro'd on the dude running away!! I swear this happened last night. last I saw him he was heading north into the tree line with an angry Z right on his ass! LOLOL To that dude: thanks you for saving me. I loved that u followed my hysterical instructions to the T. And sorrry i did that. I was panicing. Am I officially in the bandit club now? I hope not.....

Been watching ur stream from work (off and on) for a few hours now. For some reason I think my work servers are not allowing the chat feature to come online or I would've said HI. That dude u picked up is a real hero. LOL U trusted him and he didn't know what to do with u and ur AK so u both lived LOL Great job. I loved the "Well I gotta go to the rest room. Don't kill me." I too only have a couple hours in with the new patch. But i hear what people are saying "it's a run fest" now. Someone in this thread said earlier about a combination of Z's moving around. SOme of them that spawn around a city for instance are half "new" zombie with this LOS thing, and half are the old version that are easier to sneak around but if they get on your tail they will not loose you. Is that possible? Seems like that would be quiet difficult whether you are a sneaky type or a type to game the engine and just run around and then thru a building.

I support this. Not dead players waking up but 2 things... 1. animating still zombies 2. occaisional wandering infected in the woods. Like someone said already, the forest is TOO safe at the moment.

And "supersedes every other priority"... You're kidding right? Doesn't matter if you know where you are going if ur dieing of thirst or have no weapons to defend yourself. Where are all the Boy Scouts? very easy to navigate this game with a topo map if you know how to use dead reckoning. basic skill man, basic. Search on line for maps of Chenarus and have it open in the back ground so u can alt+tab out of the game to check it quickly. Personally I have a 2nd monitor beside me that I have it open on. Far more important thing sthan a compass...
