I logged out last night, and then reconnected <30 seconds later, due to glitch where the infected that was attaching me was rendered invisible. After reconnecting I could see/kill it. I think that while the game is still in Alpha, penalizing people for reconnecting would be counter intuitive. Rocket already is aware of combat loggers and has worked to fix it in the past. He isn't there yet, but it's on his radar. Unfortunately, there are bigger issues to sort out right now. -

I would assume that they are safe to 'weared' again. If it still glitches, fill out a bug report and pat yourself on the back for contributing to the mod's development. -

Turn down your settings just a little. I'm playing with most settings on Normal and I have no FPS issues. I'm using an ancient dual-core Athlon II X64 4200, 2gb or ram, and a 512mb Radeon 4800. I definitely have not hit 2fps ever. -
I don't see how people are having problems with the new infected behaviors. I crouch-ran, walked, sprinted, and crawled through Berezino, Polana, and the Factory last night. if anything it was EASIER than before (barring an encounter with an invisible zombie--that sucked).

Shoot her legs because it will limit her mobility, thus removing her as a threat. The flares/smoke will attract infected and other players. It's not a total death sentence, but it'll create quite a challenge. Plus, as a silly bandit, I'm sure he'd appreciate the sadistic twist. I'd probably have given a blood transfusion while I was at it, just for grins.

Did Rocket adjust loot spawn rates during the update? Last night I hit up 3 deer stands, the store in Polana, and the Factory. I found 2 tents (next to each other in the store) but not a single bandage. I must have killed and searched 20-30 infected as well. Weird luck or subtle change?

Loot spawn rates after 1.7.2 patch

There was loot. It was all shotgun shells, cans of beans, and makarov mags, but technically, loot was there. Just not the super common bandage loot that I was looking for. The Factory, however, was very empty. Barely any infected, a jerry can, a few makarov mags, a single wire spool. Hatchets everywhere. -

How to deal with 1.7.2 zombies

I never experienced it until 1.7.2, but I've started finding infected spawned inside the bases of deer stands. Easy kills, since they can't move, but still a bit annoying. I've not noticed too much of a change in behavior between the versions, otherwise. I guess that a single random infected, running across 1km of open field/hill, really isn't that bad. It'll increase situational awareness if nothing else, right? FWIW, I saw a report that in the experimental 1.7.2.1 version, there were over 1,300 infected on the server at once. We may need to get Akimbo Axes! -

I just walk around like normal and, when an infected agros at me, I line up the shot and hit him in the face with my hatchet. No building exploit, no noise, just a soft 'thump' and continue.
