There are other options. You can try to change the dynamics of the game by changing the way players experience it. Like being a medic, taxi driver, guide, etc. PM me if you are bored and want something more out of DayZ. We have something (big) in the works, and I hope it will have a pretty significant impact on things (for better or worse). -
Setting all options to their lowest version can actually hinder performance. As can playing on a laptop.

Rocket, Could you add a new Evil Wizard skin to the game? That way the h4x0rZ will be able to show their true form, as masters of dark arts. It will explain where the zombies have come from (evil spell), why bugs kill people (black magic boobie trap), and give people the end-game mega bosses that some have been looking for. Just add the skin to the loot tables and then give it a 0% spawn chance.

I'd like the ability to dig a 0.5 meters deep pit, maybe 2 meters across (squared). Then cover it with grass/sticks. When a player crosses it, BAM broken leg. Uses the E-tool. Hell maybe even leave the pit open and obvious. square out a moat and put an AS50 in the middle as bait. -
Use the large storage tanks that are located at the very same gas stations as the pumps. There is no electricity, the pumps cannot operate. It seriously only requires a 10m detour...

There has been a recent influx of players who are posting up that they are looking for someone to play with. I've goin threads in just about every forum. Can a new subforum for this topic be created?

Survivor HQ is: 1) Not specifically a "I'm looking to team up" forum 2) Obviously not effective at limiting such threads to that single area 3) Contains the "Finding Nemo" thread, that I mentioned in my posts, but that thread is obviously NOT working as a "I want to team up" thread. A subforum would be much more obvious to new players.

Tents.......common problem or just bad luck?

Very bugged. It's best to not keep anything that you cannot live without in a tent. FWIW, I lost a couple of mags, 2 canteens, and some medical supplies out of my backpack the other day. Plus 5 blood bags, 5 morphine, and 2 antibiotics from my tent. It happens. -
Simmer down friend, I'm unarmed. I'm not trying to discuss game mechanics here, just suggesting that the forum could use a "looking to group up" area. We have the nemo thread, but I think a sub forum would be more effective, as people could post details in the thread titles.

I personally think they belong nowhere, because people form groups outside of the game, where they feel safe, and then make no effort to contact others ingame. And if it's your first moments in game, you miss out on the isolation and fear that comes with it. That said, something has to be done about it.

But bandit players already play as teams, that is why they are so good at killing others. Making the environment more difficult would not change their play style; it would reward it, since they effectively just force others to take all the risks of supply gathering. -

I recently started having some inventory glitches as well. Lost some meat, ammo, and a canteen. My tent also glitched and ate a ton of medical supplies. Oh well, I'll just have to find more. -

In a nutshell, 1800/n = range in meters. Where n is the height in dots over the horizontal line of your crosshairs. This is for a standing person. Use 900 rather than 1800 if the target is crouched. This method applies to all mildot scopes. -

Wild West Server (does all the work for you' date=' go interact "meaningfully") Wasteland Medics Freeside Trading Co, join survivors, trade, help set up a city Survivor Checkpoint between Cherno and Elektro These are a few of the more unique things being done. There are also numerous anti-bandit clans, survivor clans, clans that help new spawns with morphine/blood/food/soda/water, solo players who avoid players via stealth, etc. Also, taxis, kidnappings, nonlethal robbers, musicians, MASH units, new player guide services, and before long I expect to see guided hunting trips/safaris. -

Try to survive by not going to Cherno or Electro. Go to the woods, raid barns and small towns. The coast is full of assholes who just kill each other all day. Also: Search Button.
