Alright, so just so you know I am talking about the DayZ mod, this seems to be the best spot to place this question since everything else is about stand alone (I plan on getting it when it has a bit more done on it, I'd miss too much from dayz epoch, and still I just mess around on my own server, not really a whole lot) Anyways, my question is, do zombies not spawn in the long white barns? I have seen them come out of the more empty, run down brown ones, but I have never seen any spawn inside of the barn, I think I may have seen one spawn in the small section with the door once but aside from that I can't recall seeing any. Have I just missed them? I want to set up sort of an "admin base" or whatever in one in the futile hope that people start to play on my server at some point, I don't think my internet is good enough though. It would be a bother to get out of your tent and have some zombies waiting for you, though I think maybe the bars would keep you safe and give you time to pull out your weapon. So, this is the barn I am talking about. Do zombies spawn in here or not?

Hey everyone I set up my own server, I am in saskatoon saskatchewan canada and before I do too much to it, I want to know how the ping is for people, because I am unsure how well my internet connection will work. It's standard Epoch right now, but I plan on possibly adding/changing things I just want to know how well people can play. Ah I see the ones I placed are half in the ground because it's uneven, I guess you have to put a tent on perfectly flat ground for it to not be floating :/

How exactly do you? I have tried going prone but when I get to the tent I just stop moving. does it need to be empty perhaps?

I saw a video where someone set up an ambush inside of a tent waiting for someone to try and raid it, can you still get in tents? I tried but can not. Sleeping just makes you lay down, not even inside it.

I'm running epoch, I thought that was a czech backpack but I guess they added a different one that looks like the czech. I'm going to get an actual czech one if I find one because yeah, 50 slots is overkill

And frankie is...? Don't be so quick to jump to assumptions, you just look like a douche. I wanted to set up my own server, epoch was an easy one and haf plenty of features I liked. That's why I chose it.

I've encountered two helicopter crashes now, and I have to say they always bring a smile to my face, you get loads of nice loot. Interestingly this helicopter glitched or something and one of the machine guns had the muzzle flash still on it. The other crash was medical though so maybe it's on all gun equipped ones.

Yeah I am on epoch, I sold an old truck I found for some NVG's lol, made scavenging nice and easy. yech, and deal with call of duty players? No thanks

Alright straight forward question, I know for humans seeing a bright yellow SUV in a field or on a road would be more obvious, but does the paint scheme affect how well zeds can see it? Aside from that I had a great experience, I was taking an SUV back to base camp, in the middle of a town I hit a post so I had to salvage a spare tire (used mine already) luckily there was a car nearby, so I went and grabbed it's tire. On the way back to my SUV two zeds came from the cars direction, so I put my Silenced MP5 on burst and took them out, one of them got to me though so I had to bandage fast, as another was about to spot me from behind, I turn around, bam, pop him with 5 shots, and then two more come from the other side. I take one out, one drops and starts crawling, I take him out with one shot, repair my SUV and get the hell out of there, it was awesome XD. I just need to get my server IP out there so I can have some people joining up, problem is my download speed. I have 12mb/s download, but only 1 or 2 mb/s upload, sometimes speedtest shows less :/ Anyways, back to the point. Does the color affect a vehicles visibility?

Yeah I've never played vanilla, but there are some things about epoch I don't love. I do love being able to scavenge parts from vehicles, that is great, however jerry cans and car tires only take up one spot now, and that is kind of lame in my opinion, I shouldn't be able to carry four tires a couple jerry cans and scrap metal to fully fix up a car I find a couple kilometers away. When I go public with my server I may try and change some of that and probably will remove the traders, it's way too easy to get things like NVG with them around.

Well from what I heard silenced weapons and ammo are supposed to be quite rare, at least that's the impression I was given, but I raided the north east airfield and got the M9 SD, then I headed over to north west and got another m9 SD and two PDW SD's. Sadly no ammo but a crapton of other good stuff. Going in there at night time with some NVG's is great, I just hope to be able to get some SD ammo so I can enter the barracks, because if I run into a zombie in there I just want to pop it in the head quietly. Any tips for finding SD ammo? edit: ah it seems the PDW SD is added with epoch. but still two M9 SD's is a nice find.
