Still can't get more than ~15fps. FPS/Lag troubles

System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 2002; service pack 3 Computer: Intel® / Celeron® D CPU 3.06GHz / 3.07GHz, 2GB of RAM / Physical adress extension. That's all I could find on those settings if it helps
  2. Hi guys, my name's Devan. Now my backdrop is every time I've ever tried playing DayZ, my computer can barely run it (using my family's desktop. Old as shit Windows XP with a 1TB hard drive, unknown processor). Even when allllll settings are on very low and the extras (shadow detail, trees, etc.) are off, and I'm on the server I receive the best ping on, I never average anymore than 15fps. So naturally, I googled the problem, and stumbled across this thread. Following the instructions, everything was going smoothly until I got to the notepad (.cfg) and tried to change my line16 to the instructed "GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; (Mouse Smoothing - off)", but after I did this, every time I'd try to run DayZ through DayZ Commander, I'd get an error message saying something along the lines of "[file destination] line16 '.': '(' instead of '='". I tried changing around the ine a little bit but never got rid of the mssage so I deleted the "(Mouse Smoothing - off)" part all together. Also, in the NVIDIA Control Panel, I couldn't find DayZ in the drop down menu, only Adobe, Java, and Steam, so I applied the settings to all three. Then after that, I could not find an "Ambient Occlusion" option in both global and program/file settings, so I skipped it. Besides that, I followed everything it told me to in NVIDIA, the ArmA2OA .cfg, and even in game I adjusted my settings to what it shows in the provided picture (with the exceptions to fit my computer) and I started running even LESS fps. So I started messing round, seeing what could do to make my fps better, but no matter what I put my settings to, and after all these changes, I never received more than 6fps unless I put all the (in game) settings back to what they were before. Can someone help me out here, is this only happening because of what I "modified" in the process or is it because of my shitty computer all together? Any help is appreciated, thank you
