What is it that gives you the impression its a "CoDZ" server?

Ola :D, I run a small clan and a bunch of us are getting back into dayz again, were just looking for some new members so we can get a decent sized group of us so we can become an unstoppable force! We have a teamspeak server and a website (which needs updated :P), and if we get a decent sized group of guys and all goes well then I may set up an epoch server. Anyhoo gives a shout if your interested and ill give you the details :)

Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know iv got a new dayz origins server and its starting to fill up now so if your looking for a new server or a group to hook up with then feel free to pop on . We are strict on hackers and we have restarts every 4 hours for those runs to salvation IP: 80.243.187.130 Port: 2482 If you get put into some random german server then thats because dayz commander is a bit of a dick sometimes so if that happens then just back out of it and use the in game browser to directly connect. If you have any questions then give me a shout

I'm sure someone has already beaten me to this however I have a clan with about 14 ish people in it, I already have a server however it isnt privately hosted so have 0 access to anything haha, I am a software developer/server administrator so any tech related stuff I can help with including helping run that beast of a server you have there. I used to run my own source servers back in the day on my dedicated linux box so have a bit of experience with that too, I also currently run a teamspeak 3 server on a linux box atm so im pretty efficient with that ;).... tbh anything server related especially when it comes to linux I can do :P I also specialize in Php web development and build websites for multi million dollar companies so that would also be covered ;) anyhoo if the offer is still there then gives a shout bud, would love to team up with you guys as I have been looking to grow my clan since its sat at about 10-15 members for the past couple of years.

please... >.< Removing side chat has ruined the social aspect of the game and for the people who like being friendlies it pretty much eliminates the chance of that.

We have repaired a chopper on uk80 and now the server is gone, and the gametracker for it says there is no admin, has the admin cancelled the server

Your fucking kidding right? Yeah spending hours to grind guns and such to lose it isnt a major issue, its the extra few seconds shaved off getting into the servers that are the major issues here... Hey thats your opinion but i know what id rather have.

Yeah thats a good point however this mod isnt going anywhere and its going to continue to be developed along side the standalone game, so the same argument still stands on why arent they adding in fixes for useful things. Id also like to point out that the screen tearing has been around for more like 2 months at least not 2 weeks and its not as if its a minor glitch here and there... it literally makes it impossible to enter a city at times...

I would have thought the lead developer in arma 2 could oh i dunno... fix arma2? Infact they have been updating arma 2 quite a bit so that it fits with dayz... didnt you wonder what those beta patches were for?

Dude you just summed up exactly what im thinking right now, Im a developer too (Php, ruby on rails and soon to be Java and C#) so I understand how a development cycle should go, I respect rocket and he is doing a great job however I do not believe he has his priorities straight when it comes to progress with this mod, im getting sick and tired of repairing that damn chopper every day to find it disappeared the next time i log on... its not as if its anything to do with where I stash it or with hackers since its off the map and i have witnessed it disappearing on a server restart despite being saved. I understand why some people hack since I have to admit as much as I cant stand hackers its tempting with the way things are in this game at the moment... you spend hours... dayz even (pun intended) grinding gear and for what... for it to disappear because the servers fucked up and the code isnt optimised... And yeah rocket is fixing the screen tear bug now but iv have come back from a 5-6 week break and it is still here... this bug has been around for months and its up there with the largest game breakers... one of the main reasons I got sick of the game and took a break... I would say that not being able to see your enemy in a major city or a military base is quite a fucking serious bug, yet he releases minor patches that fix or add in trivial things. Ok rant over... at least untill some moron posts "GET OVER IT ITS IN ALPHA"... really I didnt know that i was not supposed to give feedback when im testing a game.

You do realise that rocket is the lead developer on Arma 2... Also what the fuck would be the point in having vehicles in the game if they dont work and cant be fixed, no one wants to spend hours fixing a vehicle so they can lose their stuff and time they spent on it a couple of hours later... I feel like a broken record when i say this but will you fucking kids stop whining on every post saying "OMG ITS ALPHA GET OVER IT" or whatever... EXACTLY its an alpha and we are testing it... now tell me what would be the point in testers that dont give feedback on what they have tested?.... morons...

Its his right to give away server to who he chooses!!! are you crazy, he aint giving them away like fucking birthday gifts, we pay for them and you say were lucky to own a server... why? why are we lucky... what benefits do you get for the money you pay to host the server? I respect rocket but he is the lucky one to have a community willing to support his mod by buying servers. This is one that gets me too, "Well dont play the mod if you dont like it"... wow the ignorance is strong in this one (and the thousands of other kids that say this non stop on these forums), if people cant come on a forum and add their bit then whats the fucking point in a forum? rocket has said in the past that he appreciates people suggesting things as long as they arent dickheads about it, the thing that turns a good suggestion into an argument on the forums is idiots like you who make pointless remarks like this. Here is one for you. IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT PEOPLE SAY ON THE FORUMS THEN DONT COME ON THE FORUMS... little bit of your own medicine... As I said in my last post, if rocket was out of pocket then he would either charge for the mod or set up a licencing agreement on the servers so he gets a cut, I doubt however that this will be necesarry since he himself has boosted the sales of bohemia by a rediculous amount and if they arent supporting him and the mod then id be very very surprised.

Let me start by saying that I respect you guys and what you are doing is great... however you say your being lenient on server owners and I think its the other way round, i think if you are willing to pay money to help the progress of this mod when you dont need to then its the server owners doing you a favour since there is no real benefit to having your own server vs playing on someone elses. I do understand why some of the restrictions are in place but I really hope that these restrictions are lifted, I mean what is the point in paying for a server when you have no control what so ever over it. My suggestion would be to let us do what we want with the servers after the game is out of beta and that includes mods, some people may think that is crazy however if you look at games like counter strike source and cod 4 you see that they had mods and people still play them today but if you look at more recent games that have restricted their servers you can see that the lifetime of the game doesnt last as long because people cant add their bit to the game by modding it. If its the issue of these servers taking up your space on the hive server then set up licencing agreements so that you get a cut from the server hosting companies a bit like what teamspeak does. This is only my opinion, and as usual with these forums there will be at least 1 kid that will whine and troll.

Ok so I was in my truck with a friend driving up towards the NW airstrip when I crash and break a wheel and so we get out, we notice that some guy called mirabau keeps enclosing on us from miles away and have no idea how he keeps doing it. Anyways so i see him with my sniper and then all of a sudden i get killed, no gun shot no nothing, just dead. Then the server starts going crazy, i cant get back on and i was killed about 20-30 times in a row just waiting on character to create. ... Then i see in chat that everyone is saying they are getting vehicles spawning in front of them (tanks and helicopters and shit like that), while im still getting killed before i can spawn, my friend says he got a helicoper spawn in front of him and a message saying it was from someone called mr.medic or something like that... then he gets killed via commands and now no one can get on the server. This is fucking rediculous...
