I really love how you two with AndreasB are trying to piss off every server owner who kick/ban players who have hacked weapons. Why don't you do the same witch hunt with the hackers who spawn lots of crates and mass TP/ mass kill everyone on a server ? They are as bad as us since they don't follow the rules. But no, all of your posts are about whining because we won't let you exploit the game that easily, because you think you're protected by a rule which, as far as I know, as never been enforced with server owners who just do that. This is as simple as that: we warn people having a hacked weapon to drop it, and if they don't agree, they get kicked/banned. And considering most of the players we've banned are server hoppers who stay no longer than 2 min on our servers, we don't have any regrets.

And do you, as a player, do that too ? I guess no, or they wouldn't be anymore AS50 TWS.

The only reason he don't want to ban is because most people are not aware that this weapon is illegal. We understand that and send a message to every owner of a hacked weapons. If we still ban someone who was not aware, we deban him if he drops the weapons. However, for people like you who are completely aware of using hacked weapons, we won't have mercy.

Seriously, for our 2 servers, we've already taken actions. We warn people with illegal weapons and then ban them if they don't drop the weapons. And we have an program against the cheaters (dayz anti-hax) which really works against cheaters. We prevented several Thunderdomes from being created and avoided several mass killings. So yeah, we've got a lot of hate from all these script kiddies who got nothing else to do than buying for a f*cking cheating program and the players using exploits (3 different threads where they complain, saying things like "I got an illegal weapon but I didn't spawn the crate, so I did nothing wrong"), but the servers are really better to play on. In the meanwhile, we got no word from the moderators (but they went on the threads, because one of us was banned because he used unconsciouly a racist word shown on the translator.) So we go on and actually make the game fair for everyone. So, server admins, do like us: prevent the game to be ruined by these a**holes, and tell them to f*ck off if they complain (with animated gifs for bonus points).

Couldn't agree more. Admins can ruin the game only by locking, restarting when it's convenient... and that's all. You may lose a vehicle that you have stolen from them or they do that to avoid getting killed, but they can do nothing more. Compared to that, there are players who cheat, kill all the players on a server, teleport them in a thunderdrome, spawns vehicles or weapons crates. And then there are all the exploiters, picking up weapons from all these crates, duplicating weapons and other unfair exploits. I really think they don't care about hacking until the game is gonna be a stand alone. Problem is, all this hacking is ruining the reputation of the mod, and each server admin who try to make their server hackers free gets a shitstorm by all the script kiddies or the exploiters who want to play comfy with their AS50 TWS acquired from a weapons crate.

Or maybe they can understand that we, as admin, don't have a magic power that allows us to see where the vehicles are. This is called hacking, or bug of the 1.7.2.5, and you can cry to Rocket if there is a problem about it. We have logs, which can allows to know what a player have, yes. And we do warn people against the use of illegal weapons because it is unbelievable how many players use one without caring or justifying with dumb reasons such as "it is a zombie apocalypse, I should have the best gear I can find", or even the "It is only fair against the hackers" (which is funny because if they want to harm you, you get a bomb on the head or get teleported to the thunderdrome, and you can't do anything). He is sure that we are against him, that we stole his helicopter, that, by warning people using illegal weapons, we are abusing (when we are instead trying to get the game fair for everyone), and he won't hear anything else. It is so depressing that we (well not me, but the other admins who were here more often) resort to trolling and gifs because they think there is no way to talk correctly with them. And they are right, as I'm painfully discovering it.

I... I don't know what to say. Alright, I'll do it simple: we find a list on the wiki, and we refer to it. If rocket doesn't tell us, server owners, about such sensible updates regarding fair play and legal ways of acquiring weapons, he is at fault. If we followed every single rules, it would be impossible to play without a hacker constantly ruining the game. No less than 10 minutes ago, a hacker tried to create a thunderdrome and was stopped. This is just wrong. Almost nothing is done against hackers and exploiters, and if we try something, it is against the rules. Rocket (or any manager), this is for you: if you want to sell your game, try to make the game actually enjoyable for all the players who want to play a hard, difficult game, but in fairness.

What. I use concrete, real facts, and you talk about wizardry, which is not illegal (unless you still live in Salem during the 17th Century), and more importantly, DOESN'T EVEN EXIST. Besides, we are talking about the possession of something illegal, not the act of doing something illegal. The pot in itself is not an illegal object (unless you're talking about the drug, in which case you delete the determinant). In law, possesion and creation of an illegal object are two separate things (with the latter having a much greater penalty), but the two are illegal nonetheless.

So if a drug dealer gives you drugs, you can't be arrested because someone gave it to you ? You deserve a head slap if your answers is "Yes" to that question.

To the smartasses who just connected to the server, spawning a crate and then using illegal weapons just waiting to have proof that we indeed are against using illegal weapons: we are awaiting your thread on the forum. For the record, we banned them because it all happened in a very small time (the apparition of the crate and 4 players suddenly having an illegal weapon), too small to be a coincidence.

Okay ....... Let's use an analogy: you're in real life and see a gun (if you don't live in the USA), or, if you live in the USA, you pick up a bomb, a RPG or something else illegal. We all agree these weapons are illegal, but if we follow dayz rules, you would be allowed to use these just because you are not the original owner. This is a complete nonsense. As is banning someone juste because he have an illegal weapon. But warning someone to drop his illegal weapon is completely normal. You are not supposed to keep an illegal weapon, even if you're not its creator. And if Rocket is against warning, I will read that as "Hi, I love to kiss the ass of hackers and exploiters and flipping the bird to people who actually wants to play fair".

Maybe he was just watching the forum and didn't want to participate until he got fed up with all the whining for every modification made and made this post. Or maybe because the answer for someone trying to find a solution they don't like is "go back to COD noob", or "your tears are delicious" or "stop whining and grow some balls". Damn, it's like a sadly too big part of the ArmaII players who were angry because it became "mainstream" and were feeling superior to those who made the mistake of discovering ArmA II along with DayZ and made it clear. Maybe you'll find an army vet who just didn't learn the existence of ArmaII when it was published and discovered and who will quickly kick your ass, or someone just wiser and able to see where the imperfections of the mod are and who is able to find a solution. Ok, so 49 players should do something because only one is annoying everyone else. That's great, really. But since you're mostly a troll, there's no point in going on.

How come on I'll shout just in front of you for 5 hours straight and you'll punch me in the face after 5 mins. But you can only punch someone in legitimate defense, so you're wrong as the rule say, but you will be right in your and in everyone else's mind. It's not following the rules to the letter, it's just common sense. A player annoys all the server just because he isn't able to change one key, he is banned until he learns the lesson not to be so lazy. And no one on the server will find it wrong, they'll be happy to be able to play without a teeny brat shouting everytime.

Well I just have one thing to say: as a server owner, we always try to have evidence of what we say, and we ban only when we are sure of an illegal way of playing. So far, we've never been wrong. But it is hard to collect evidences, we often die with our stuff because of their cheats or hacks, and they ruin the game while they play. What I want to say is, if you want unfair server hosts to go down , you'll have to take your time and be ready for it. And most often than not, I find "Server is locked/admin is abusive" threads without a single evidence. There is as many ways (if not more) to ruin the game when you are a player as when you are a server host. The duplication exploit is also available to players, cheaters are still a plague and they use every single exploit to make the game not enjoyable. Moderators are not dumb. Take several evidences of servers conveniently going down and you will see the results, they will not last long. But remember that you're always in a better position than most server hosts. While you can just go away from an abusive admin and log on another server, server hosts will have to endure and take their time (and give their money) if they want to make the experience on their server enjoyable for everyone and not ruined by some lame players.
