I have been playing on the same character for a few dayz now and i have amassed some quite nice gear with some food and drink, Maybe enough food and drink to last maybe a few hours, I am sick atm from eating a rotten kiwi, My gun has run out of ammo and i am forced to use my axe to defend myself. I am currrently holed up in a house in ***** and i am fearful of going too far incase of ... (What would bring that heart pounding fear so much that im in two minds whether to leave the house im hidden inside?) Zombies? a predictable computer controlled opponent that you can outrun and will give up when you get too far from them and has no intelligence... or Kos players? an unpredictable opponent that will (or will not) give up and has (in most cases) some intelligence to counter you... You see if it wasnt for kos players there would be no fear in this game and i would happily leave my abode and roam the streets freely. Without kos players this game would get very boring very quickly. So think about it you forum posters who get killed and come on here moaning about kos, do you want a boring Dayz with no threats. keep ya head down and only trust those you know :)

In rocket we trust tbh He said he is going to concentrate on the survival against the environment as opposed to the zombies and players. So if the environment (hunger,thirst,disease,etc..) is harder then players will struggle to fight each other, and i think this is the best way to go. But you must never try to get rid of kos, just make it harder for them to survive and they will fall in line :P ps - if you have'nt seen the film The Road http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898367/ Watch that film, its awesome, no zombies, but its a survival movie, and rocket has said he has had most inspiration from that film for Dayz.. If only more Dayz players would watch that film rather than the hollywood love fest unrealistic The walking dead crap. Ps - i did watch walking dead the 1st series, and wasnt bad, until it turned into a sitcom. More grit less razzle dazzle for Dayz and im :):):):):)

When we finally lose microsoft from the gaming world we will see how powerfull our machines really are. Direct x & windows created a bottleneck and hold our computers back so consoles can thrive. A pc with exactly the same specs as an xbox one or ps4 cannot compete with the consoles, why? Because Direct x & windows hold the pc back. So if you need to vent some hate, vent it towards microsoft, for costing you money over the years when you have had to buy an over the top gpu or extra ram just to play games that an inferior console can run easily.

I have i7 16gb ram, Radeon R9 270x 2gb and Dayz runs like a dream for me, even in the city. So amd is fine tbh, i would stick with amd mate, even with your next card.

The helmets make it look like Warz, Maybe they should only spawn on a motorbike (when vehicles are put in) The masks are fine, only an idiot wears one tho because they show up like a beacon with all the colours and make you an easy target.

Maybe rocket needs to add a magical forcefield so players cant shoot each other, then we can all be happy and friends and build houses with lil gardens with big flowers :)

Ya typical KOS forum complainer scenario. Spawns in, runs into a city in the daylight, down the middle of the road, in full view, without a care in the world and... Bang.. hes shot dead. Logs on forums and "waaaa waaaaaa kos suckssssss, nerf nerf nerf it" Learn to play and kos wont be such a problem. Learn to survive against other players, not just the dumb computer game opponents.

Extreme survival? what against? zombies that cant catch you? Hunger? Thirst? All these are easy to survive against.. Facts are without other players as a threat in Dayz the game would have died ages ago. If you need a Pve experience zombie game theres many out there without pvp and kos. Why does it feel that every game i like, Carebears come along and turn it into a lovefest/lets all kiss and make up clusterfuck mankini game? Leave Dayz as it is, and how Rocket intended in the beginning. The real reason some dont like the kos mentality is because they suck at surviving against anything other than dumb computer oponents or scripted easy to manage scenarios. A real man can survive against zombies, hunger, disease, thirst AND KOS PLAYERS!

You sir, have been watching too much The Walking Dead... A programme so realistic everyone loves everyone else and the shotguns have unlimited ammo and no recoil lol ;)

And its Xmas, so everyone will be out stocking up for the holidays..

As long as Dayz stays as far away from The Walking Dead i will be happy :)

Yep they are :), Unlike Ubisoft & EA whos games cost alot more, are finished releases and stay broken for ages (cough cough Fifa 14 & Rome Total War 2)

But newspawns are the most fun to kill cos "they come on the forums crying after" and that makes the kill more satisfying when seeing the post after :D Tip #1 - Crying to mommy after being killed in Dayz might get you a hug, As crying on here wont get you hugs :p

Im not sure Dayz is the game for you tbh, have you tried Rust or a non pvp game maybe (with bunnies and unicorns and love and flowers and &%**$£@@*£&*£)

Am sick and tired of seeing youtubers making standalone videos with no prior experience with the game and constantly complaining the game is broken to cover their own inexperience and lack of knowledge of the game mechanics. Even saw a youtuber say dayz is broken cos he couldnt climb a ladder with a rifle in hes hands. Another moaned that rocket shouldnt have released dayz cos its not finished. I found this youtuber tonight who seemed to have knowledge of the game and constructive critisism and helpful advice on gameplay. I dont know this youtuber and i am not here to advertise him or any others. I feel that helpful and constructive youtubers with good advice on gameplay and problems is a rare thing and so i thought i would give him some love and thanks by posting about it. please watch the video if interested and maybe sub if want. And please feel free to post youtubers in this thread you have found who are knowledgable about dayz sa and give constructive help and advice to people interested in dayz sa (instead of the usual bitching youtubers) :D x Happy Xmas all btw xx
