This. Defending obvious rule breakers is worse then breaking the rules themselves. If you cba to report people breaking rules, then for gods sake stop sticking your head in threads like this. -
if you die, you die clientside. keeping the player modell ingame after pulling the cable won't do much because the server won't receive the kill message. if it wasn't for that, DCing would have been fixed long ago.

then better take care to not break your legs now, or get your friends playing, or make some friends ingame breaking a leg is a problem you get confronted with, you can see it as a random quest to solve. killing yourself because you don't want to put up with tough situations is the wussy way out. wussies better not play dayz, they will ragequit sooner or later anyways :D edit: now that i think of it. funny enough, i respawned yesterday because i had a broken leg xD i'm such a wussy >:(

could as well make everyone spawn in balota/novy, because thats where 95% of players will want to spawn. unless you mean across the whole map, well in that case lets all spawn in the barracks. run, you are supposed to run alot in this game. the map is 200qkm big for good reason.

how do you know when its possible to knock you out its random can i rent your crystal ball for a day? i just noticed that recently the time you are knocked out greatly increased, it now seems unlikely to survive if you've been knocked out with less then 6k blood. dying with 11k blood is unfortunate, but very well possible. i am fine with that - new game new luck. lost all that imba gear? will get better gear this time. learn to think like that and you will master dayz any day. -

Nobody cares if you think it's fine and dandy to be able to look over walls and around corners. it doesn't fit with the mod's authentic approach and has to go, period, common sense. If you don't want authenticity to begin with, don't play games which have that as main goal in mind. If you're only in for the pewpew, there is arma2 where you can show off your 3rd person skills. I suspect something comming with the next few patches. in rocket we trust! [insert random cancer insult towards 3rd person huggers]

it's against the rules so it NEEDS to be a bannable offense. the only problem is to differ between people doing it to gain unfair advantage, and people who, lets say, do it to find a decent server to play on. not talking about ALT+F4, which is only like the tip of the iceberg. in most cases, you will have time to hit abort + disconnect. sometimes our whole team hops from server to server to find a nice one, with daytime, good ping, many players, on expert settings. if every server was on the same settings, this wouldn't even matter as we only need to find a server with enough slots for the whole team.

i was more thinking into the direction of you coding your own game. if you can fix someone else's game with such ease,it should be no problem for you to do that within reasonable time. think of the shitload of money you will earn..... concerns? all of you are acting like as if they are sitting at some random beach, nipping drinks, checking chicks, trolling us with fake posts none of you take into account that they are busy fixing the game you are playing on FOR FREE inb4 "i paid for arma2" -
like he said, right now he is collecting data, to analyze how to find out those people whom need to get banned.

dayz (mod) is alpha required patch for arma2 (engine) is beta make sure to a ) install the latest recommended dayz version b ) install the recommeded arma2 patch for said version c ) make sure to run the recommended/latest battleeye version d ) only join servers with exactly your dayz & arma2 version works everytime for me. if not on 1st, then on 2nd attempt.

Alt F4 is it okay in this situation?

i am talking about alt+f4 in case i face obvious hacks. read carefully. another example: server hopping - you clear an area building and suppose its secure, then a hopper spawns behind you. if i am not sure i can take him down, i will dc instantly. same with ghosting. i am not playing with douche bags, i will instead go and try to find a server with fine folks. -

there was a bug in 1.7.2 when rocket screwed with the weapon classes. lucky a teammate found one again and gave it to me, as i am the spotter B)
