while i personally think its not that much of an unfair weapon (the scope is crap and not anything close to accurate), i guess you can do the math yourself. its not in the game, the developers surely have a reason to take it out. then again it's legit loot, and you don't get banned for hacked weapons, neither can you expect people to have a complete list of allowed weapons in their head at any time. its your call. take responsibility for your decission.

dayz on oculus would be like one nonstop and neverending orgasm D: they need to put cameras on it so i can see the outside world, because if i put that on i'm never gonna take it off again. no, sir! marketing. people in here know about dayz. people on reddit probably don't. help them and spread the word.

as far as i got it from an interview on gamescom, once the standalone is taking off, he is planning to hand the mod over into community's hands, so people can develop their own stuff, like new maps and content etc. and have it the way they want (1-100 players? passwords? running additional mods?) i can see big profit in this as you can for example run DayZ together with ACRE, which would make sense if you tweak them radio's in. of course that only makes sense without a central hive, so every server has its own database. not sure how this will affect security on the standalone, because i figure the standalone will actually contain a good part of the mod, and handing that to possible attackers? we shall see. in rocket we trust.

thats because BF3 has been released in some kind of beta state and has been left there. (i can't remember having graphic issues but then its even worse lol) thats why i quit and now stick with developers who CARE about their game. rocket does care. some people even think he cares too much. i think you can't care enough. they told me i could get an Arma III shirt, but when that guy went to grab one for me, none were left :( :( i got a carrier command shirt instead.

So ACE is not a mod either? We are playing a modificated version of arma 2, thus it is a mod. and the modification is alpha. if it wasn't, we wouldn't see graphic bugs. Arma2 OA is not a free game, DayZ is. Up until now, DayZ is developed in rockets free time. The standalone will be developed by behomia, with Rocket as project lead. THEN you can come here and complain because you didn't get your weekly working bugfix. the PC's didn't get much idle time, thats for sure. in carrier command one of my units was spazzing out, floating up in the sky and i couldn't get it back down. one guy said its because the pc is overheating *shrug* I have seen the "backstage", it was quite improvised, they had a deskfan blowing air at the pc's, but the door is usually closed so venting hot air is not doing that much. they let the door open every now and then to get some fresh air in, but it was 30+ C outside so... what ya gonna do? you only have so much space on a small stand like they had, and it actually worked well as far as i saw, with that one exception, which was not gamebreaking at that point.

this was the best trade fair experience ever. mostly due to the bohemia appearence, well i honestly just went there for dayz :P delivered my original heinz baked beans and they really liked that D: of course all the kids were raging and laughing about the graphic bugs, but wtf? i guess bohemia interactive is like the only company in gaming business with the guts to show an alpha release of their product on a trade fair. maybe they should have put huge ass red flashing light signs on top of the screens screaming ALPHA at the players really was worth the time. i got to play dayz 1.7.3 pre-release, i got to play arma III and i got to play carrier command, which is a nice rts game, just haven't got the hang of it. SC2 is my RTS game and will stick with that, while we at it I GOT A PICTURE WITH ME AND WHITE-RA AND ALSO AN AUTOGRAM OMGWTF HAPPY TIME will post pics later, gotta chill and play some sc2 now xD

This was some wierd day on DE 128. Server is hosted by Forgotten Hope Warzone Some weeks ago, some noob on this server crashed the helicopter into the sea between island and mainland, we tried to recover it but to no avail, it exploded instant when pilot entered and respawned at same position next day. Good job with parking your helicopter there. Since then i checked the island spawn every other day and today it finally resetted. I set up a camp to wait for my mates, and suddenly, silenced shots! So we were in for a nice fight. Ghosting and dc'ing on their part, well i'd call it fair. 3 of us up against at least 5 of them, and still a kdr of 3:1 in our favour. Here we knew for a fact that we fought against the clan holding the server. Helicopter was in perfect shape except for fuel. Still a few of them guys around. So we took our chances, brought fuel and took off. Got hit, engine was already in the orange, but we managed to escape. We reached the fuel station in polana and had more hostile contact, shitty aim there though. we took off again and shortly after had to land further north because fuel went out. I was smart enough to save the helicopter as soon as we hit ground. Suddenly: Session lost. I think the server didn't restart, because it was like instant available again in server list, but lacking alot of players who were on before this happened. Just coincidence? This is the second time this kind of bs happened to us after we won a fight over a helicopter. So i checked my backpack, three random fuel cans in there, guess i picked them up earlier and just forgot about them. So we had another 60 liter fuel, which brought us to NE airfield to fuel up enough to collect the rest of our team. Then we took a brief break on the western border of the map. 5-10 minutes in, our overwatch noticed a guy in ghillie suit crawling towards our postition. Thats not where you'd expect to see someone at night, on foot, just as you take a break there. We tried to kill him, instant DC again. In air again, found first stash, at ground again. After we finished looting, regrouped at helicopter, i suddenly find myself at the coast, next to a guy in ghillie suit. I was not sure if its one of our guys who got teleported with me, next second i am dead, My mates noticed none of this until i said i'm dead. They instantly left the server. Not sure if it was a bug or a cheater - someone with name "PLAYER 1" and a wierd ping of around 150 was on at that time and dc'ed shortly after. Not sure why he'd kill just me when it was a cheater. When we joined again, no further incidents happened. Imo that altogether still is just a tad too many coincidences at once for me, i think something fishy is going on here. A summery: ghosting & dc'ing by FHW server dropping our pilot & copilot after we escaped twice with it some random ghillie finding us within a few minutes in the middle of nowhere i get teleported to the coast, together with a random ghillie and i'm dead I got no evidence, thus i'm not reporting this yet. I will see whats happening tomorrow, hopefully i find a solution to my lack of discspace till then.
