Elektro. Seriously don't join the clusterfuck that is berenzino or solinchy. When you spawn turn so the sea is on your left and run down the main road. You will eventually reach elektro. Loot the school and market for general supplies, the fire station and police station for weapons and the hospital for medical shit. Then you can head up north and begin actually surviving and interacting with less trigger happy xenophobic fuckwits who sit on hills around coastal towns.

Exactly. I don't mind a few modern "op" weapons but it should be extremely rare to find one and even rarer to find ammo. So for example a 40 player server might have only 1 or 2 SVDs that spawn in the whole map. The ammo should be loose and scattered around bases.

I believe a few more rifle should be added but not SVDs. It would be too OP in comparison to other guns. The appeal of the mosin is that its rustic and not exactly a "nice easy to use, hit the target everytime" kinda rifle. If we added guns like the m24 and the SVD people could pick it up and start the trend of easy ass 500M+ shots. Id love to see a Saiga 308 rifle with a telescope sight added in. The Saiga is a Russian civilian rifle so it could fit in with the civilian/military loot style. If .308 calibre is not acceptable then it also has a 7.62x39 calibre version.

I tried playing dayz the other day high. I done it in the mod and it was fine. Even helped me take better shots since I wasn't twitching my hand in excitement of blowing someone apart. In the standalone however its fucking terrifying. The random zombie yells and assorted noises that play in forests due to the bug make me jump and instantly look around everywhere.

DayZ Hasn't been out for a month yet. A mass server wipe of all hives occurred about 2-3 weeks ago so it couldn't be a month old.

Some tips for sniping. Don't take shots at people near cover, one miss is all it takes for them to dive behind a wall and log out or go 3rd person and spot you. Don't be so trigger happy, you fired shots as soon as they came into your crosshairs. Have patience and wait for a perfect shot. Always fire the tiniest bit ahead of the player if they are moving in any direction provided they are within 150M of you. Any further and you will need to mentally "zero" your scopes. Also don't shoot unarmed players. Cuff them and have fun by making them jump off a roof or feed them rotten shit or disinfectant.

To be a bandit in DayZ may or may not employ a code of ethics or conduct, it may or may not involve killing people and so on and so forth but it does not involve shooting people without word without even seeing what gear they have on them or what their intention is. Personally I only shoot without speaking in high risk situations (I have lots of gear and I see a squad of players heading my way and I can't escape in time./Someone runs into the same room as me with a gun.) I try to rob people and let them live with enough basic gear to make it to the next town. I like helping new players by teaching them how to loot and play the game. I like being able to kill other bandits who camp towns and shoot new-spawns. About 10 minutes ago I was at the Pavalova barracks, it was pitch black, I had camo clothes and a gun, on my back, with an axe equipped. I came out of the barracks and looked around, saw someone running at the opposite side of the compound. He had a m4a1 too except he was clearly a new spawn as he had the newbie clothes on, I typed hello in direct chat and asked did he loot the food and if he did was any food left because I need some. He froze. "Oh good a player who knows how to type with his keyboard" I thought. Suddenly he swivelled around and sprayed me with his gun, I ran behind the barracks and typed out I am not trying to kill you in direct chat, before passing out I saw his wonderful reply to my plea which was, "lol ima bandit faggot lrn2play". I died whilst passed out 5 minutes later, turns out the guy didn't even loot me. He just decided to add another kill to his imaginary kill streak.

I am a bandit. I saw a guy and decided hey maybe for once I could be nice instead of robbing people, he might be a newbie and could use the help! I don't care that he killed me I care that his mentality was to shoot because "lol bandit" and then call me a faggot because I tried to talk.

I was not near him, I was 150M away aprox. Also it wasn't the killing me bit that annoyed me, it was the fact he shot me for fun and didn't loot me then called me a "faggot" for trying to talk with him. It is that mentality.

Also I said KOS is fine in certain situations but when a player can clearly shoot at you because you are in the open but instead says hey and asks a question spraying him and calling him a faggot is not being a bandit.

I think he read some guy saying those servers seem to reset his player so he is basing it as a fact.

I said some people have it some don't, being a bandit is not Kosing. That is being a murderer.
