    You gave him a chance in a situation where he was doomed if you chose to kill him. All you were doing was being fair and protecting yourself. You did the right thing, and I commend you for giving him a fair chance.

    It's only a difference of one more shot to kill on zombies and players for the AK-74 (3555 damage as opposed to 4500).     I started by Cherno, ran to Balota, and hopped over a sandbag and died instantly. Back then, I thought it was somehow the barbed wire 3 body widths away from me. Now, I know it was just the engine being awesome.

    I've had it happen in every patch I've played. I haven't noticed any particular gun or situation where it happens. It just seems to happen until I reconnect sometimes.

    I had two of them before, but I died with my friend the only survivor of the 2v2 fight, and he failed to pick them up when I specifically told him to. He was too busy freaking out about his low blood and the urge to log off for safety...pansy.

    So do you just come on every thread and post variations of "Cool story, bro."? You might want to find a hobby. OP, I'd say you did the right thing. He fully intended to kill you, so you had every right to finish him, no matter how merciless it was.

    Yeah, because the fact that it has a hospital clearly doesn't matter. The ONLY thing you can go to Elektro for is to kill fresh spawns.

    And this is why I just avoid contact with anyone I don't know. I don't want to kill, but you basically have no choice if you meet face to face.

    There's a gun shop about a mile away from my house and a grocery store a 3 minute walk away, so I think I'm in a pretty good spot. My dad owns a 20 gauge and a .38 revolver, so that would be a start in self defense until getting what I can from the gun shop.

    I prefer the revolver over the 1911 for the extra range, but I'm happy with either.

    I've logged in knocked out on a new character before. I had respawned, logged off for the night, and was knocked out the next day. I also had it happen when I logged off in a barn for a few minutes while waiting for a friend to come back, and I hadn't even taken a hit from anything yet in that life. It seems it can read your character in shock sometimes when nothing actually happened.
