THANK you. Ok, well in that case, let me run and collect food at a correspondingly fast/compressed rate. You're not reading what I posted. Two characters in a row, I spawed and immidiately began looking for food in all the structures in the nearest village, then the next nearest and so forth, and starved to death. Twice in a row. I don't care how good you think you are at DayZ, if there's no food within your starving radius, you're dead. That is a problem with the starvation radius (read - the distance you can go without food), the amount of food spawning, or both. That happening two spawns in a row is an issue. And no, it's not that I don't know how to look for food. And it's certainly not a question of "patience". I'm playing until I die of starvation. Once again, re-read the OP. Getting fed is a little difficult when there's literally no food within distance at which you can search before starving. Oh, that'll be nice. They'll surely make it so you have to poop once every half an hour. And they'll make it so you have to use a toilet to do it, but not put any toilets around. Then when you find that one toilet after 20 spawns, there will be no shit paper and you'll die anyway. Why don't you actually try reading the OP, not just healdine. From the length of you post, it's clear that you can write past ten words. One would therefore assume that you can read past ten words. Unless of course you had your mom type that dribble out for you, which I guess is entirely possible.

Ok, so answer me this. Will you go from moderately peckish, to unconcious and dead in the span of a half an hour? In other words, "everybody look at me and how good I am at DayZ" Congradulations. Human beings still don't die from hunger and hour or two after a meal. And by "give it up", I'm referring to thier endles and mindboggling attempts to overmodel it when they already had the solution back in the mod.

Well, something changed. Now all servers read as empty for me. Still can't join, but I can see other people trying while I'm looking at the "wait for host screen". I get the "so-and-so uses modified data file" messages on the bottom left.

Don't even bother with these folks dude. They were warned repeatedly, and bought in even though they knew (or reasonably ought to have known) what they were agreeing to when they bought it. People who still complain haven't got a leg to stand on. Just ignore like the rest of us (and I'm sure the devs) do.

I definitely am, especially since I've figured out how not to die of thirst. I've made it all the way to NWAF, and am now 3/4th of the way back to cherno with a fully decked out M4, lots of ammo and a rucksack full of food and water. I think the trick is to find a re-fillable container soon after you spawn at the coast, then make your way north via ponds as waypoints, looting along the way. This way I've managed to keep myself fed and watered as I've been collecting gear all night. Now I'm sully loaded up and ready kick some ass :P The new hunger/thirst indicators are 10000% better as well. You can actually tell how close you are to unconsciousness, which makes a world of difference.

....are a great compromise that I think should satisfy everyone. You don't get hud icons, yet a detailed view of how you're doing is now available to you in the inventory (next to your player's head). In case you haven't seen it yet, a green box will appear with hunger or thirst written in it and it will slowly turn yellow, orange and I assume red as it gets worse. The "I feel hungry" stuff still comes through the message feed when applicable. (below picture doesn't display hunger because I wasn't hungry at the time)

Great. Now after rejoining, I've lost the mosin, reverted back to a previous M4, and I can't open doors anymore.

For ping's sake, people should generally be playing servers on their own continents, if not in their own regions. People shouldn't have to log onto an overseas server just to see the light of day.

It's because of the very fact that said area is so plentiful that I've always avoided it in the mod and will continue to in the SA. More loot = more bandits. In particular, more military loot = more heavily armed bandits.

I can't say I agree with being pissed off about the state of a game you willingly bought of your own free will, after being given ample warning about the state before buying it.

No, it really is bugged. I know becuase last night I was eating rice, and got: -You have satisfied your hunger (or something to that effect in green text) -I feel hungry .... Both at the exact same time .
