this thread is pure win... hahaha.. My longest is only like 6 days and like 400 zombie kills.. I get so impatient and always end up doing something stupid.. had like 15 murders and 4 bandit kills and was using a DMR, shot a guy in a ghillie suit twice but he didn't die (his buddy may have given him transfusion.) They ran into barn, and i ran across a field to get to them.. watching them VERY CAREFULLY that they didn't come out.. Shot the guy in the ghillie suit through the hole on top floor of barn and while i was celebrating my genius a guy came out of the forest with an ak and unloaded on me full auto... I cried.

Nobody on the planet "doesn't want money." He just wants to do it the right way. Get the game developed, get a strong following, then create it as a standalone and charge for the game itself. Us players would happily support making him filthy rich for such a great product!

I'm not sure on this one, but you can try emptying the tent and packing it back up (perhaps this will not work?) In any case you can get your valuables out and move them to a new tent.

He wasn't a hacker, though he was def. exploiting. It's the same as every other thread on alt+f4.. If you hit it fast enough and load back into the server, your char resets back a few minutes so he was still alive and had all his gear because he probably alt f4 before you fully killed him.

Currently we've got a pickup truck and a bicycle and all the parts to fix a jeep up that we found and are going to try to fix tonight!

There's a leaderboards for murders... That in and of itself makes it worth killing your useless ass.

I would like to see defensive items for defending camp-sites when you're not logged in, such as claymores/land mines... Could be very helpful and fun!

lol @JohnSmith.. I've played in every competitive PVP system you can find. I've played in professional ladders for many different games (CAL, TWL) I've played professional tournaments... but your rite, the fact that I like a realistic shooter where some guy runs through the woods with an m107 and never looks behind himself to see if he's being tracked gives you enough information to profile me. The fact is DAYZ is survival of the fittest, for as long as you can do it. I've died because I was being stupid, and I've killed because someone else was being stupid. The game is fun to me and you can't take away aspects of the game that I enjoy because you don't particularly enjoy them... @ OP You're telling people to go play another game when maybe YOU should go play WoW or Minecraft.

I'm torn on this one, but I think the player limit will and should always reside in the server owners hands.. so you will still be able to find a server that supports your preferred gaming experience, and thus there should be servers with over 100 for sure.

I wouldn't call him a troll entirely.. I had a ton of annoying shit load onto my computer when I downloaded and installed sixupdater.. I got rid of most of it right away (and had no problem doing so) but I instantly deleted sixupdater and I now only do manual updates to avoid this. I think he's probably exaggerating it a bit, but there are def some stupid "extras" that come with this installer.

I find it funny that the argument against banditry is that people should go play CoD.. when most people I know who play CoD troll this game/mod because they can't "earn objectives" or "it's too hard" or "why would you want to play a realistic game" It's hilarious how one persons opinions can make no sense to someone with completely different observations.

About ten years ago I used to play MUD's.. If you don't know what they are I won't try to explain, but the quality of that type of game that I remember the most was the fact that you had to play your character responsibly, because there were elements that could make you regret it if you didn't. If you mouthed off to someone you couldn't handle in a fight, you were dead, and they had as much of your gear as they wanted.. This game is very similar.. you play the game how you want to be rewarded.. If you run through a town like a maniac you will most likely die and not get any good gear. If you work cautiously, and scout areas before you go in and while your in, you have a higher chance of finding good gear, and thus you are rewarded for playing responsibly. I liked all your points, though.

i'd say its not too easy because you're pretty much guaranteed to die if you keep playing. No one will survive forever lol

I honestly never played ARMA 2, i bought the game for the mod.. and since I like it so much I really want to support it, so I keep playing it. In ARMA 2 you don't really work for your gear either, you just spawn with it like every other shooter, right?

Hacker spawned for sure.. but I've got to say this kind of encounter def. makes the game more interesting, so I don't see why they don't just add it. I saw a video of a hacker spawned in an attack chopper and it was pretty awesome...

I kill on sight and for fun and I've never played CoD more than 10 minutes. I hated CoD, too much random shit on the screen constantly.. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt.. Stalking someone through the woods who has no clue that i'm behind him... he finally stops to pull his binocs out and scouts out a town.. i sit behind him with my m24 and wait to catch my breath.. i place the shot carefull and blow his head off.. now I have an m107... GOD I LOVE THIS GAME!
