I get it on every server, I've put it down to internet after hours of troubleshooting, I've brought my PC to a different house and it worked perfect on their internet, for the last few days I haven't been able to play at all used to work like yours with a few attempts at joining. Well this randomly stopped or wasn't that bad just after last post as in I could play on the 3rd-4th attempt at joining a server at worst but now its broke again last few days. BE has effectively broke my game, cant join any server, I'll get into my favourite ccg or europa but takes about an hour of trying/re-logging by which time I don't want to play just smash my keyboard. If I bring my pc to another house it works perfect every time so BE just doesn't like my internet connection :( I know its not great in my area but I have to wonder every other mp game/antihack is fine eg ets, bf4 etc and Arma2 was fine on it for a year and even last month or so. I'll check for updates try again in time but for me for now no more Dayz. Thanks battleye :/

Anyone else found this glitch? Was on a vanilla server last night with 2 buddies, we were looting the office and hospital in Zelenogorsk when one of my friends had an internet problem and got disconnected. Then my other friend called me upstairs in the offices for help, he said a zed wouldnt die, of course I thought 'ffs noob' but when i ran upstairs I couldnt believe it! There was a zed at the door of a room with him inside hacking it with a hatchet repeatedly, the zed was punching and clearly alive, I hit him with my hatchet several times and he just turned and hit me. As I backed down the corridor he followed slowly, with my friend now behind him also hitting him with a hatchet, I pulled out a g17 still backing off, my buddy ran down the stairs and I emptied 2 full clips into the zed mostly headshots before I turned and climbed down the ladder. When my other friend reconnected we went back in to search for the terminator zed but he was gone. Freaky, esp as it was night time, we put it down to my friends disconnection or maybe the zeds have got sick of getting killed and started hacking, who knows!?

Of course the mod is cared for once standalone came it could've been tossed away esp after gamespy shutdown but its still being developed and imo vanilla 1.8.1 is the best/most difficult yet from a survival perspective I could play it as a single player game.

Nearly quit today but now I'm laughing, difficult vanilla server, spent nights with a buddy repairing a car/gearing up, geared up more found and repaired a ural with help of car, put both in completely different areas of map. Logged on ural gone lol walked nearly a hour on my own to car and car gone lol no tents so all gear away as well and my buddy is an hours walk away. Love dayz, still got waterbottle/knife etc I suppose

1.8.1 is amazing, its actually a zombie game, hard to get geared, very hard to pvp your better with melee or crossbow etc tbh, its funny to see from distance someone fire a loud weapon at another player in a town and watch the 28 days later style chase and inevitable death. After months of never or rarely being killed by zeds and being killed even as a new spawn by the cod brigade in other 'mods' since playing 1.8.1 I've been killed by zombies loads and actually met 2 friendlies one even fed us, cant remember the last person I met outside 'trade/safe zones' who didnt kos. Check out Europa vanilla server guys!

My new favourite server, seems to be getting more and more players and the admins seem helpful and active.

Like I said before, many of the 'concerns' would be valid if we were talking about ps3 but this is ps4, -----------the ps4 inside is an x86/gcn *PC*--------------- ie this will be good for us! The only downside I forsee is there will be dirty peasants joining/posting on our boards! (****joke****)

This only good for PC, the new consoles have many weak x86 cores this time round, this will result in better performance for us, more money for bi to make a better game and quicker. Its win win imo. Its a pc game going to console not a console game coming to pc....

Really depressed now, cant play my favourite game :( I tried what you said frostykush, I've now reinstalled oa twice, done the verify out of beta, in beta, in 1.62, I'm opening arma and oa everytime after, when start oa I'm on the proper version 25548 and dayz '1.8.1dev', I installed that launcher and even when I try the same version of server I get the same problem, when I downgrade and try commander (which some of my friends still use) I open oa to v12255 I'm allowed to join lobby and get exactly the same problem. When the server versions are wrong I get a different error so I'm sure its not that, I'm going to my parents today I'm going to lift my tower and try it on their internet/router as it does sound like the netgear router problem, only think is my router is a bt hh4 with little or no settings, standalone works fine, and the mod worked fine a few weeks ago so not holding out hope. Just to clarify, I join any server by any means, as long as versions are same I get into lobby with no error, I click join, the loading screen comes up and the bar fills, then back to lobby/player screen and 'reciving data' bar fills then the yellow chainlink appears and be says 'no message recieved in xx seconds' over and over until I'm kicked. Only my friends see the 'Conor has been kicked by battleye, client not responding' message on thier screens.. Hey frosty I may take you up on you offer, what timezone are you in mate?

Its every time at the same point even when friends are already in the same server playing, I reinstalled again and would like to ask should arma 2 oa in steam be set as 'beta-' and what to set 'the' beta to the one that says 'obsolete' set this to 'opt out' in the beta tab?

I logged on to give someone beans so I'll comment, I wouldnt have Dayz the sa or mod any other way, I know the standalone will be far more polished than the mod eventually (and on my low end hw looks better already) but the small flaws give it its character, they add to the tension as said. Everyone has a right to thier opinion and some stuff cant be argued with, its there, like the low fps but imho this is more the fault of ms and thier bloated dx that seems to need £££s worth of cpu to brute force through it leaving most of us with 50%+ of our cpu sitting idle and crap frames. Meanwhile consoles have done just fine with faaaaaar inferior hw. I said in a suggestion thread to the devs but got no answer, is there any chance of the game/engine being ported to something else in the future like linux/steamos by opengl or even amds' mantle? I would love delete windows once and for all :)

Can I just add print out a map of Chernarus and stick it on yer wall beside your monitor, best thing I ever done and after a while you'll need it less and less as you learn the terrain and a little Russian! I dont know if its in the SA yet I've only got 45mins on xmas day playing it so far due to work/real life but if you find: knife, hatchet, matches, water bottle you need never enter a town again unless you really want to or get extremely unlucky with a disease. Hope this stuffs in the SA or coming to it soon!

You need to optimise the game mate, I play 30-60fps on worse hardware, maybe slightly better cpu due to oc, brother uses a 760k + 260x just fine as well. I have post process off, shadows, aa, af off, res at 720 (iirc), textures on low. I do have draw distance up around 2000 iirc, I find thats the trade off I can lower it and have more textures and shadows but feel this a disadvantage.

Seems most kos/dm is confined to electro/cherno anyway, find basics outside of these 2 cities, head north, constantly look over your shoulder, survive.

Sorry if its been suggested before but what about having real harsh cold winters where certain loot like warm clothes etc are more important, fires needed to thaw out water and on the other hand a summer where must drink more etc. For example if you're standing still but in warm clothing on a sunny summer day you must drink like your running/jogging. If this was in the sa they could announce the weather report via radio causing a scramble for certain loot types?? Just an idea...

I'm not not saying I would have 'beaten' you in the same situation or anything but this is why when I'm on with a buddy we never do the actual looting together, one of us hangs back and watches from distance, also if theres a vehicle involved its parked a km away in trees and we walk the last bit. Silly noobs lol good story they deserved it and hopefully learned a bit.

I haven't been playing long enough to give a good story but last night I was up north raiding camps and found 2 tents on their own, I just thought wouldn't it be funny to fill the tent Ive raided with empty cans and toilet rolls? Next time I'll have a back pack full of them!!
