  1. Those servers will be blacklisted before long. The new DayZ system is due to be released any day now and then the mass blacklist will occur. Best Regards, Lee
  2. @dookiejones All of our servers are whitelisted and none of our users have any issues. The reason as to why our servers are higher priced is simple, we don't run 10 - 15 servers per box. We have very powerful hardware and we host a huge amount of services for a variety of applications. We only run 6 servers on our Intel E5 series which keeps the cpu load below 40 - 50% which is alot better than most other hosting providers. Best Regards, Lee
  3. Hello Everyone, You are correct by stating that does Adam help hfbservers.com (NOT WORKS*) by developing their website, however Adam is one extremely devoted person. He is the only person i have come across to spend every waking hour helping communities and companies perform their daily actions taking extreme loads of DayZ Devs. Just because he helps hfbservers.com does not mean he works or owns the hosting rights at that company, to be honest the only people who own DayZ is DayZ Devs! They are dealing with such a high load currently and i think one thing is for certain. Users need to give them / everyone involved with DayZ a chance and allow a few days for requests to be dealt with. So as i stated, Adam is a very good friend of mine and friend of others within the community and i am sure everyone will agree with what i have said. Best regards, Lee
  4. @Tyserie We're not multiplay, but that error means the server it's installed on is not whitelisted, contact them. Best Regards, Lee
  5. @DutchMike This has been resolved, so i have removed my post. Best Regards, Lee Benson CEO Vilayer LTD

    Dallas 41 Server Still Offline?

Not that i usually get involved with this stuff. Dallas41 should come back online IMO these server names don't go lightly, The DayZ devs assign them to servers. If you give me the mission ID i will put it back online, i will also speak with Ander and Adam about this issue. Best Regards, Lee
  10. Hello, @DutchMike Okay passwording your server is possible but as stated if your server gets blacklisted this is something that you will have to resolve. Hostname = Name of the server ns1 = anything ns2 = anything Root password = the main password to access the server remote desktop, please note you need to choose windows upon ordering a dedicated server for DayZ to run. 3. As stated above you need to order Windows Web Edition 2008 R2 64bit minimum. 4. The IP Range allocation? What is this? Arma2 only supports the main server ip address ( Internet Protocol Address ) you pick the standard which is on the order form, NO ADDITION IP ADDRESSES. 5A.With network speed it's upto you, 100mbps is standard, 1Gb/s is better 5B. If you choose a dedicated server you can change the time however if DayZ detect more time changes on your server, your server will be blacklisted. You are really only allowed to change the time once every 48/72 hours. 6. All of our DayZ servers connect extremely fast whether it's on a dedicated or standard slot based service (It's all down to the hive and what it is doing). 7. As for the chat, you will need to contact the DayZ devs to get this enabled or speak with them about it. 8. You are in full control of DayZ we will upload the files for you but you must 100% control the servers / services that run on these machines, These are self managed servers, not managed. Please be fully aware of this! 9. It states the time of setup on our website, All of your questions have been answered within these forums or our website. If you look on the right hand side it states 24/72 hours setup. Best Regards, Lee

    Server "Creating".

Hello Everyone, Just to clear a few things up here, Servers are setup instantly with all files installed however by DayZ current ALPHA system we have to manually assign each server a mission id. Once we upload the mission id your server is up and running, however it can take a further 5 - 10 minutes to install. We have todo this for every server. This is because DayZ is in Alpha we are working closely with them to bring out an improved system. Best Regards, Lee This only applies to Vilayer customers. Some clients of other companies have been waiting over 1 - 2 weeks, and waiting 1 - 2 weeks for DayZ to respond. We get servers setup as fast as we can. @iHighland I will take a closer look into your server and get few people to connect to verify there are no issues. Best Regards, Lee
  13. @Reo Are you still having issues? Best Regards, Lee @DutchMike Answer question 1. Your server has GMT-6 set on it as all servers in Europe do. Currently we are not changing server times upon request. (This rule has been set by DayZ devs) 2. You are not allowed to password protect your server (DayZ Rules) 3. You need to pick the relevant Arma2DayZ to order your server, this is an internal structure set so the games don't get split or messed up. 4. A game server is on a shared machine, a dedicated you get full access to. Of course a dedicated server will serve you better and you can run more off it. You also have full access to the server times. 5. Your server wont get blacklisted inless you do something wrong, if you do get blacklisted i can always look at what you have done and get you un-blacklisted. Please also note that DayZ watch all servers very carefully, so please follow the rules. 6. You can still play on other servers if your own servers get blacklisted. Best Regards, Lee
  14. Hello, We don't control the DNS servers of any other DNS provider. Google updates every 86400 seconds, So await an update and i am sure you will be able to connect. This is why i recommended OpenDNS. Best Regards, Lee
  15. Hey Reo, The problem will reside with your ISP. If you want you can add me to skype and i will run through a few things with you to ensure you get connected. @DutchMike 1. Does the rented server require anything (harddisk free space, etc) from my pc? No nothing from your pc is required 2. Am I abled to enable vehicles? (Especially helicopters) Vehicles are automatically enabled but as for helicopters this is down to the DayZ devs, if your server is extremely popular i cant see why they wouldn't enable it. 3. Am I abled to change the time of day? We will change the time for you if required, most server owners find that sticking to the local timezone is fine for them. 4. Am I abled to ban players? If you have correct and proper proof, yes you can ban players. You can not however just ban players for any old reason as i am sure you are aware. 5. Is there anything I need to know before hosting a server or while hosting server? Not really, You will get provisioned a server, then once your server is only you can play and enjoy. 6. How much control of the server do you have? You get full 100% control over the entire server, however we do not condone anyform of cheating etc.... as i am sure you are aware. Best Regards, Lee
  16. Okay, All servers running stable at 1.7.1.5 with the latest Arma2OA patch. Happy Fraggin :) Best Regards, Lee
  17. Hello everyone, Due to the DNS update we've found that a small amount of people with ISP who maintain their own DNS services have not updated their DNS to resolve to the new ip addresses. To bypass this i recommend everyone uses OpenDNS, Please follow these instructions, Mac OS X Go to System Preferences. Click on Network. Select the first connection in your list and click Advanced. Select the DNS tab and add 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 to the list of DNS servers. Click OK Windows 7 Click the Start Orb, then select Control Panel. Click on Network and Sharing Center. Click on your primary connection or Local Area Connection under Active Networks. Click the Properties button. Windows 7 may prompt you for permission to make network setting changes. Highlight 'Internet Protocol Version 4' and click Properties. Click the radio button 'Use the following DNS server addresses:' and type 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields. Click OK button, then the Close button, then Close again. Finally, close the Network and Sharing Center window. At this point, we highly suggest that you flush your DNS resolver cache and web browser caches to ensure that your new configuration settings take effect. Windows XP Select Control Panel from the Start menu. Click Network Connections from the Control Panel choices. Choose your connection from the Network Connections window. If you have more than one, choose your default/current connection. Click Properties button. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties. Click the radio button Use the following DNS server addresses and type 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields. Click OK Windows Vista Click the Start Orb, then select Control Panel. Click on View network status and tasks. Click on View status. Click the Properties button. Vista may ask for your permission to make changes. If so, click the Continue button. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click the Properties button. Click the radio button "Use the following DNS server addresses:" and type in OpenDNS addresses, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields. Click the OK button, then the Close button, and the Close button again. Close the Network and Sharing Center window. Generic Router Open the preferences for your router. Often, the preferences are set in your web browser, via a URL with numbers (example: http://192.168.0.1). You may need a password. If you're like us, and you set the router password long ago and cannot remember it now, you can often reset the password to the manufacturer default by pressing a button on the router itself. Or preferences may be set via specific application for your router, which you installed on your computer when you added the router. Find the DNS server settings. Scan for the letters DNS next to a field which allows two or three sets of numbers, each broken into four groups of one to three numbers. Put in the OpenDNS server addresses, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, as your DNS server settings and save/apply. Linksys Router Visit the router's IP address in a new browser window. http://192.168.1.1 is the default Linksys router IP address. Enter the Network password. The "Enter Network Password" window will appear. Skip user name and type the router's password (admin is the default password, if you haven't changed it) and click the OK button. Type in OpenDNS addresses, 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220, in Static DNS 1 and Static DNS 2 fields. Click Save Settings button. Netgear Router Type the router's setup URL (http://www.routerlogin.net, http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1) into a web browser address bar. http://192.168.1.1 is the default Netgear router IP address. Enter the password. Type in OpenDNS addresses, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, in Primary DNS and Secondary DNS fields. Click Apply button. Wait for the settings to be updated. D-Link Router Visit the router's IP address (http://192.168.0.1) in a new browser window. If you are attempting to configure a D-Link router, take note of your computer's Default Gateway IP address. The Default Gateway is the IP address of the D-Link router. By default, it should be 192.168.0.1. Most D-Link devices use the 192.168.0.X range. Enter the router password. Note: if you have not changed the original settings, the default username is admin and the password is blank (nothing). Click on the Manual Internet Connection Setup button at the bottom. Enter the OpenDNS addresses, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, in Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server fields. Click Save Settings button at the top. Best Regards, Lee
