More Zombies would be a much much better addition, especially in the bigger towns. The other day I was in a house held up with a Enfield and I let off a round (no ammo left in my sidearm) and they came running. I was just holed up in a corner of a room with two entrances shooting off rounds left and right praying to god they didn't take me down. By the end of it my leg was broken and my character was shaking in pain and I had only a few rounds left. Must have cleared out the entire town. Now THAT was what DayZ should be all about, you against the horde praying to god they don't overwhelm your position with just mass numbers and that you have the ammo to defend yourself. Yea sure I could have Alt-F4 my way out of it, but that shits for pussies.

1911 is better then your .45 revolver IMO but if you have a great primary then take the Glock 17, that built in flashlight is a huge help when checking out buildings during night times to see what has spawned.

I'd dump the curiosity stage because I mean come on when have you ever seen a curious zombie?

Go outside with a glass when its raining and time how long it takes to fill that sucker up. Now imagine instead of that open topped glass that only holds ounces of water you have a Canteen that holds two full quarts and has a opening that is less then 2 inches in diameter. Needless to say the amount of time it would take rain to fill that up, especially depending on how heavily the rain is falling, would be quite awhile.

You notice all of the broken down Hummers and the many military bases around? Considering the entire scenario takes place in an area that was a hotbed of military activity I would say it isn't that unrealistic at all that these weapons are in the game.
