Ok ok i got it. I was just saying, and without knowing what exactly are the zeds and what actually caused them. The point of my topic was discussing about zeds and if there could be different of mire types of zeds around eventually. Speaking of bloodsuckers, as a "stalker" player they scared the crap out of me, and there would be nice to deal with some of those while roaming in a forest during nightime, but since that kind of zombie fits in a nuclear post apocaliptic background, and dayz isn't, it just can't be added, like other types of zombies. By the way i think that other variations like the different speed, phisical injuries of the zeds, that could affect limbs, theys eye sight or hearing COULD be intresting to valuate. I'm not expecting anything of this from the standalone because i already like the game as it is, and with zeds as they already are. I also think that zeds should act and move depending on their age, according to the fact that the infection could affect even a young man or an old woman (except for kids...even if they could be creepy as hell, maybe is too much). By the way, for what i know, in the L4D world (except for special infected) the "zombies" are still-alive infected humans

I was thinking about the fact they added the bloodsucker from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Namalsk, and then i though: "why not adding different types of zeds?". By that i mean adding zeds with actual differences, like: >slow but hard to kill, that deals a nice amount of damage and that can see or hear you from a long (or short) distance; > really fast, but also "stupid" (you can outrun them by simply hiding yourself behind a fence, or going prone) and weak (1 hit with a weak weapon, like the crowbar); >deaf or blind zombies, that you can distract by throwing something on the ground (for the blind ones) and easily pass even if you are in a field, or shooting at something (making it fall or move....yeah...phisics!) for the deaf ones, because they can't hear the gun, but they can notice the movement. Kind of hard to add because of the massive amount of various zeds thet makes those tactics nearly impossible to do...but it's an idea. >mutilated zeds: zeds without an arm or a leg, easy enough. They could vary the damage, the speed and the movement according to their phisical condition >the idea of the bloodsucker is great. They can really scare the crap out of you: an invisible zed, with a temible hit damage, and also a terrifying growl. I'm not saying that dayz should copy stalker, or other survival post-apocaliptic games, but take inspiration from them. I don't feel "fear" when i'm in a city full of zeds anymore: i know that i can just stand up and run like an idiot into a building to out run them, and if doesn't work, i just have to repeat the process. Different types od zeds would make the game more tactic, and give the zombies back what they ever owned: the ability to give fear. I also think that the zombie spawn should be revised: maybe in little towns could spawn two types of zeds, in forests could randomly spawn a single type of zed (maybe more powerfull....again with the bloodsucker) and in the big cities could spawn a mash up of types, but not in the massive quantity as the actual mod does. Also i think it would be better if the zeds spawn in cities and towns don't just continuosly spawn zeds, but a group of survivors could actually clean out a city or town for a certain amount of time. These are just ideas, and probably too pretencious for the actual standalone game, but i wanted to share what i thought. Inb4 i tried to search for old topics, but apparently no one came up with something like this (or at lease, nothing like deaf or blind zeds ^^ )

I don't find it spooky. The first time i heard that i thought that was a sort of "archievement" sound, since that ever sounded to me like a "victory horn" Neither i think is some sort of siren alarm, since it doesn't sound like that

Hi all Since i started playing dayz i wondered what's this sound i randomly hear. What about the use of throwable stuff as a distraction for the zeds? Sometimes that could get you out from a building sorrounded by zeds without waiting them to go away

I heard that zeds follows your path when you run avay from them. That means when you're running from them, and you turn for shooting, they'll zig zag following your previous movements. By the other hand when you startle a zed, he'll run in straight line. That's why when you try to outrun a zombie in a city, even if you manage to dodge between buildings, he'll find you. The trick of entering a building with at least 2 entrances works because the zed in the building is forced to walk slow; so he's still chasing you following your path, but you can get far away from him. It'd be nice if tincans could be used for startle a group of zeds simply by throwing it on the ground. Too bad i tried that and the tin can just glitched through the floor xD

My experience: walking in the fields around cherno with a friend of mine, he got the aggro from a pair of zeds; we ran in a forest trying to outrun those two. After 5 minutes of running we still had a zed on us. I gave up and shot the zed. Then we noticed a pair of zeds allerted by the gunshot, so we tried to hide in the bushes. Apparently the zeds AI looks for the player, and not for the place where the noise came from, so we ended up dealing with two more of them. It'd be nice to correct the zed's AI and the way they move. This is annoying expecially in cities: whenever i'm trying to loot in elektro, it happen to startle a zed, so i quickly hide in a building with different floors. Even if i hide, for example, in a room of the third floor, the zeds will go exactly where i am. This kinda screws up the reality of this game, and so does my patience. I hope they'll fix this, because this problem with the add of the zeds constantly spawning (doesn't care how many of them you killed) make looting cities in stealth neraly impossible
