I was thinking about the fact they added the bloodsucker from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Namalsk, and then i though: "why not adding different types of zeds?". By that i mean adding zeds with actual differences, like: >slow but hard to kill, that deals a nice amount of damage and that can see or hear you from a long (or short) distance; > really fast, but also "stupid" (you can outrun them by simply hiding yourself behind a fence, or going prone) and weak (1 hit with a weak weapon, like the crowbar); >deaf or blind zombies, that you can distract by throwing something on the ground (for the blind ones) and easily pass even if you are in a field, or shooting at something (making it fall or move....yeah...phisics!) for the deaf ones, because they can't hear the gun, but they can notice the movement. Kind of hard to add because of the massive amount of various zeds thet makes those tactics nearly impossible to do...but it's an idea. >mutilated zeds: zeds without an arm or a leg, easy enough. They could vary the damage, the speed and the movement according to their phisical condition >the idea of the bloodsucker is great. They can really scare the crap out of you: an invisible zed, with a temible hit damage, and also a terrifying growl. I'm not saying that dayz should copy stalker, or other survival post-apocaliptic games, but take inspiration from them. I don't feel "fear" when i'm in a city full of zeds anymore: i know that i can just stand up and run like an idiot into a building to out run them, and if doesn't work, i just have to repeat the process. Different types od zeds would make the game more tactic, and give the zombies back what they ever owned: the ability to give fear. I also think that the zombie spawn should be revised: maybe in little towns could spawn two types of zeds, in forests could randomly spawn a single type of zed (maybe more powerfull....again with the bloodsucker) and in the big cities could spawn a mash up of types, but not in the massive quantity as the actual mod does. Also i think it would be better if the zeds spawn in cities and towns don't just continuosly spawn zeds, but a group of survivors could actually clean out a city or town for a certain amount of time. These are just ideas, and probably too pretencious for the actual standalone game, but i wanted to share what i thought. Inb4 i tried to search for old topics, but apparently no one came up with something like this (or at lease, nothing like deaf or blind zeds ^^ )
