Seems like a valid idea to me. I mean, you can talk about breaking immersion, but you already have a HUD meter telling you when you're thirsty, so that's not really a big deal. Problem is, at this point stats reset at every death, so a bandit could kill you with a hatchet after his card reads zero. As for the "there are no bandits" line, please don't blame the game for your behavior. I've met plenty of people who wanted to work together and didn't just shoot on sight. Saying you shoot everyone to be on the safe side is a weak justification for your choice of play. If you want to be a paranoid murderer, be one and own it.

I'm not going to argue that there should be no bandits, but it sure would be nice to have people actually *playing* as bandits -- in other words, killing you for your gear -- instead of all the COD jerks who shoot you with an M4 when you have nothing but a flashlight, then laugh at what a "noob" you are. Whether you love or hate PK, the issue simply isn't up for debate (technically, ironically, it is in this thread). The rules were very clearly laid out for the server hosts when this mod went world wide. Either they respect or abide by the rules or discontinue hosting. Yes, agreed. The server admin should be warned or shut down. I just wish there were fewer jerkwads. I don't mind getting killed for my shiny sniper rifle. I do mind having someone run over me with a truck because ha ha screw you. Rocket is going for something approaching realism, and I honestly believe and hope that if there were a real zombocalypse that 40% of the population wouldn't turn into psychopaths. But if wishes were toilet paper, or something like that....

First, apologies if this is a repost. Wasn't sure how to search for this particular issue. So, my ping is great and this issue doesn't occur on every server, but quite often every time there is a message about server activity (someone joined, someone died, someone wants to know if there are friendlies in Cherno), my game will lag for up to five seconds. My system is plenty beefy and my connection is solid, so I don't know what the problem could be. Anybody seen this? Any idea what the issue is?

What about making a way to rig a grenade to explode if someone else opened your pack after you died? The materials could be rare so not everyone would have it, but it might make bandits think twice about shooting and looting everyone they come across.

Yeah, exactly. It would be a pretty high cost to the user, and not easy to find, but wouldn't it feel good to know you blew up some bean-stealer?
