Private Shard Pricing is Outrageous
c00lface replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Because Dean's vision. /s I agree, the more options, the better. Hell many people abandoned the mod long time ago yet you still can fin vanilla servers, sure, overpoch is the most popular but you can't tell other people what they should like or dislike, thats pathetic -
You are wrong. This is a sandbox game, and you can't tell people how to play it. That also applies to what OP did however, so there is not really much to say, maybe he is kind of a dick but thats just my opinion

I own several EA games and I tend to keep my eye on others that I don't because I find this "buy and be a part of the development process" phenomen quite interesting. And I realized that, in the end, "alpha", "beta" and "finished" are just labels and have no real meaning. Early access is a true risk for us costumers.
-
They should have added some sort of disclaimer right on top "WARNING: THIS BUILDING IS IN EARLY ACCESS ALPHA, DON'T GO IN UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS" that would be hilarious
-
Guess some smartass map designer decided to have some fun and troll for the lulz. Thanks for letting us know man
-
It's something I have on my mind from a while, we know from the devs that there are a lot of placeholder features and items that will eventually be replaced. Sounds, for instance, and some animations If I remember right, but do we have a more detailed list?
-
Dayz has ruined the early access concept for so many... I think it's a good thing in the end. I feel a bit sad for all the true indie devs tho
-
Or increase playercount and you just stick to low pop servers? everybody wins?

Should Rocket go sooner rather than later?
c00lface replied to banjo (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I find it disturbing how many people talk about Rocket as if they know him personally or could read his thoughts If Rocket should stay or leave, or why is he a good or bad team leader is not our business and discussing it only feeds speculation which is not good or productive this thread should be locked -
What new Rifles would you guys like to see?
c00lface replied to Forrelist's topic in General Discussion
An AKS-74U would be neat -
Got some nice debate going on with some friend and I wonder what would be the general agreement

Whats the optimal playercount in your opinion?
c00lface replied to c00lface's topic in General Discussion
Yes but that was long ago before release, and If I remember right he said the server could handle 150 players implying that there is no loot, respawning loot and zombies, things that have a huge impact on server performance. I might be wrong tho -

Yeah I made an spelling mistake, my bad, I actually agree with what you said. But its funny how many people think that when the game gets fully released it will still be berezino deathmatch. Yeah, thats an important aspect for a huge portion of the playerbase, but again, when more content and features are added and the overall gameplay gets balanced it will be a different story. Or at least I want to believe that -

But again this is not the mod, the map is being expanded, and hopefully when the game is completed and balanced, there will be more reasons to focus on survival rather than pvp. Many people blame the player base for being total dickheads kosing everyone, but fail to realize that this partially happens because of the lack of endgame content, reasons to team up with strangers and off course the broken PvE mechanics. Also I think you are exaggerating, I used to play overwatch a lot (they have 80 slots servers) and If you moved away from the spawn points you could run around and see nobody. As someone already said, people overestimate the size of Chernarus -

I'm all in for options. If there was 150 slots servers, it would be pure chaos ofc, but some people might enjoy that, and you could always stick to low pop servers and enjoy that experience. I think less than 100 players is just not enough, Chernarus is pretty goddamn big and the devs are still going to add more cities and towns -
What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
c00lface replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I've read that in the steam forums, it seems BE is banning players abusing exploits and duplicating items. Seems a bit shady at best, its an exploit that the devs should fix if they wanted people to stop abusing them. Its not a hack or a security leak. Thats why I am asking. -

Is it truth that now BE is banning duppers? -
What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
c00lface replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Its a circle in which every part gets profit except for us legit players. It starts with BE releasing a ban wave Then hackers get banned, some of them pay for the game again (its depressing I know, but ir really happens) New paid hacks are released and then we have to live with it untill the next banwave From time to time BI would put Arma IICO on sale right after a banwave, so even more hackers rebuy the game. This does not happens with SA yet -

Meh Still waiting for beta -
ITT = Fanboys in denial as always Can't believe I backed a console game. Haven't touched a single one since 1996. It's so depressing that I think im gonna get drunk
-
Care to explain why would an helicopter ruin dayz for someone that wasn't into arma games? Unless you are implying that all helicopters are military machines I fail to understand your logic Anyway people not wanting choppers in game are either too bad at being stealthy or just don't know the thrill of being chased by one
-
I know, cheaters or even scumbags would be a better term but sadly hackers is the standard. Some of these fags might even feel proud of being called that way. So delusional
-
I imagine hackers get the same satisfaction as fully geared snipers kosing freshspawns. Is that feeling of "Kek m8 u got rekt u mad?" The difference is that hackers are either too lazy or too bad at the game, thats why they use external aid
