40-70 in wilderness and some small towns. 20's in cities

And maybe they are not trained medical personnel, or trained swimmers, or trained survivalists. The whole "have to be trained to do something" mentality in dayz is quite idiotic. If you stick to your argument that our characters should mimic lack in shooting experience, then you might as well remove the ability for us to insert IV's, or even swim long distances with 50+lbs of gear.

About the best you can get at the moment

Ahh, this terrible stereotype. Again, you'd be surprised how many of us drive manual. My weekend car, listed in my sig, has a 5 speed dog box for instance. Several of my friends own manual transmissions in their daily driven cars.

I am only assuming since I have not found one in months until now.

Well, if a zombie apocalypse happened where you live, would you leave all of your clothes behind? Or leave you doors open? -
Chance of becoming Infected/Zombie (Non controllable) (Not walking dead)
SFRGaming replied to theswedishcathead's topic in Suggestions
They are pretty static on keeping the zombies and survivors separate. These zombies have a rage virus, not your average dark force that raises the dead. According to green mountain tales, the virus was chemically induced. However, these survivors we play, much like the L4D characters, are immune. While we appreciate the time you took to write this, it is better if you use the search function, as this has been suggested quite a few times. -
The physics are fine so to speak, it's just the suspension values that need to be tweaked. The suspension actually is very realistic if the truck is simulating not having shock absorbers. Tire's reacting to surfaces as in deflation (like Spintires) is something we will see a LONG time from now. It's a visual aspect, and it would take a considerable amount of time to code and perfect. Sounds are on their way, as well as a manual gearbox. A dev posted about a mocap sessios they had with a real V3S which leads me to believe we will have full suspension articulation. And with me being a gearhead, that makes me happy :D
-
First off, they have recognized the various bugs that plague the V3S, it will be fixed soon. And to comment on your #6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfkCHQFN13A Praga V3S trucks are hella hard to get stuck. Usually, you will find this truck, along with other trucks such as the Ural-375D, GAZ-66, and MAZ-537, crossing large rivers with ease.

What are good game mechanics/ features from other games that work in dayz ?
SFRGaming replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
Dunno if legit or troll. If legit, the leap of faith from any AC game is highly unlikely considering you'd probably break something -
This is quite literally how I died last night.

Not much has been reworked on the Arma 2 engine. None worth mentioning. World of Warcraft's engine has been used and modified for years now because it was a great platform. Arma 2, not so much You say you have lots of experience with games that have single-core rendering, however I doubt ANY of them had to render 225+ km2 worth of terrain and water
-
The arma 2 engine was coded in 2007 and Arma 2 itself was released in 2009. Do your homework.
-
So you're asking for engine that was made approx 2007 to have had multithreading, SLI support and resolution scaling.... I want you to list all the games that had that technology back then
-
This is why you shouldn't build a high-end rig if you don't fully understand how hardware works with games
-
You can't really beat DayZ you know
-
I'm on the previous gen i7-4820k OC'ed to 4.9 and I get similar to your x58 with 970 gpu. If anything your new gen should be slightly better (more cache and whatnot). The fact other games accept it well doesn't mean you have a bad chip. This is slightly confusing.

Oi, I have a Pristine Large Military Tent. Hit me up with offers

VBS3 uses significant parts of the ARMA 2 engine, the engine DayZ SA is based off of
