Exactly, which is why I want Rocket to spend a lot of time on the minor details of the vehicles to really make it immersive and to make them stand out. It's one thing for Rocket, as small as his team is, to shit on games being developed by multi-million dollar companies. But, it's another thing to shit on games such as Forza who claim to have the most detailed cars.

I do kind of like this idea. Even if the US were deployed in the Charenarussian war and left behind their guns, the .50 most likely wouldn't be there. the Barret M82 (.50) is only used in making very long distance shots such as 1500m and up. Anything else is reserved for the .338 lapua scout rifle, L115, etc... One thing I hope Rocket accomplishes with this new medical system, is confirmed 1-shot kills with 7.62 rifles if the bullet hits the heart or head (of course). And the .338 would be a 1-shot kill mostly anywhere. Even being hit in the leg by a .338 will sever the leg, causing (what I call) Stage 3 bleeding (Critical) and shock, leading to death. And I REALLY hope there are significant ballistic, spread, FPS, etc.. differences between all guns. i.e. The AK uses a 7.62x51 AR round which has decent penetrating power and significant ballistics. The M4, however, fires a much smaller round being a 5.56x45, yet the round itself is more devastating. Why do you ask? Even though it is a smaller round, it has a higher muzzle velocity, more penetrating power, and the one thing that makes it such a feared round: it tumbles. This means whenever it DOESN'T penetrate through the bone and rather, bounces off of it, it tumbles through the entire body like a pinball in a pinball machine. This causes LOTS and I mean LOTS of internal bleeding and rupturing. This sets the 7.62 to be more of a stopping power type of round while the M4, having less stopping power, can cause more havoc to the target you are shooting at.

Well I honestly have to disagree. Unless you're firing randomly like a mindless idiot, you'll be aiming. And to maintain correct posture and arm position while aiming, there really is no way you can manipulate a pistol without breaking your line of sight with the iron sights.

Military grade weapons such as the .50 are Class III no matter where you go in the US. And being 21 years of age is a national law when applying for a Class III.

By the way, I just thought I'd let you know you don't own 2 Barret M82's. Unless you bought them from a blackmarket and are illegally holding them, you can't even qualify to get a Class III License for one. Why you ask? Cause you're 18, NOT 21. No. If you are insisting this is similar to the 007: Nightfire marksman ship mode, then I will refuse to use guns in Standalone. This sounds like a very clunky and janky idea.

In relation to that, I think the radio implementation would be an even BIGGER success if they worked with car radios.

DayZ will drop if it becomes a Pay2Win. I trust Dean is not stupid and ignorant enough to do this.

It's both. The 7.62 chamber cannot handle the pressure of a .308, but the .308 chamber CAN handle the 7.62. The 7.62 fits in the 308 chamber no problem but not the other way around. Albeit you CAN do it but it causes lots of wear and tear on the chamber.

I think it would be cool, if there was a revised stealth mechanic, to be able to do knife takedowns only if your knife is on your quick-action bar. And maybe a model so when you add it to your action bar, it puts it in a sheath on your leg (or any other place via different holsters). And we don't have to have the stylish BF3 knife takedowns. Probably just a simple rap your arm around their head and slit their throat.

*sigh* 1. They are not the same round. They are VERY different. The 7.62 can fit into a .308 chamber although you will encounter major problems when fitting a .308 into a 7.62 chamber. 2. The .50 sniper models, in which I have to infer you're talking about the Barrett M82, weights 28.6 lbs unloaded without any accessories, scopes, etc.. I hate to say it, but for a so-called 18 year old that seems to own many E class weapons, yet doesn't know jack shit about them seems like shenanigans to me.

Weight difference. Boots make more of a "thump" sound and can be loud in doing so. Sandals are a lot lighter and also have a softer base.

You have my beans good sir. One thing I HOPE they fix is some of the BS universal ammo mechanics/mag switching. i.e. The G36C cannot use STANAG mags unless it has an adapter for the mag itself.

I get that, but it doesn't require you to insult people wanting to acquire information. Considering Dean made the statement of releasing Standalone in 2012 and it now being 1 whole year after he has done so, people are getting impatient including myself and all we want is information and release dates. This happens to most of the highly anticipated games, such as dayz itself. But Dean is NOW doing (what he should have done a long time ago) what game developers do, and not give us a release date until the Alpha is ready to ship out. The n they have a few days to review the game themselves and do quick fixes to the things they overlooked. I'm sure we ALL understand he won't give us an unfinished Alpha in the same light a car company won't sell us just the frame of a car, but people are still gonna ask for it. It's how everything is, the only exception being Dean set a release date WAY early than most companies will do. In my opinion, he should have waited a bit longer until everything as far as development milestones and features were set in stone. Most of these "false release dates" were a product which came from Dean changing his mind about what engine he was gonna use and his own decision to COMPLETELY rewrite 98% of the game, only importing a small 2%. I think a lot of people are just getting a bit heated (I know I am, I'll admit it) waiting for DayZ Standalone Alpha to release. One the Alpha ships out, I predict the forums will calm down and we'll see a lot less aggression. Edit: I will go ahead and add that Dean DID waste a considerable amount of time doing interviews with several gaming communities and companies. Dean actually admitted the Alpha would have already been released if he would have denied all interviews, but he would have lost a large fan base. While the interviews did delay the game considerably, He did attract a lot of people ,who don't normally play games like DayZ, to be interested in trying the Standalone.
