Rocket stated when Alpha was released, we would be able to view their little "timeline" on things to tackle and things to code/produce/etc.. I was solely wondering when we will see Vehicles start being coded/created. Notice I'm not asking when they will be implemented, just simply when Dean might start working on them. Please share if you have any info on this and if Dean is reading this, can you provide some insight? God-like game btw man.

Dean also said...many many times...that the Alpha goal was 50. I think 40 is a nice compromise for having Alpha in 2013 AND before Christmas.

I love how Rocket took away the indicators so your screen has no HUD, but I found it strange how oblivious it is to die from hunger. The text really doesn't say to what extent you are hungry, it just simply says "You feel hungry" and then your vision becomes blurred. And I feel you have to eat and drink WAY too much to be realistic. I ate 2 cans of Tuna (the whole thing) and my avatar was still hungry.

So far I have spawned in Kamenka every time. Anyone else like this or seen any other spawns?

I just didnt get the sense that I was hungry. I was eating plenty and I still died from starving.

What I haven't been able to grasp is why Dean is trying to fix every damn thing wrong with the game before it's even released to the public. It might be kinda hard to do our job (find bugs) when it's already been done for us. I mean, yes it's more convenient for the average person that way, but I have waited far too long for SA and I honestly love finding small bugs (like most of us did in the mod). I say he should just hit the button and add the game as is. It'll shut the community up and instead of 150 people looking for bugs, he'll have more that 50,000. -

The only engine I have seen that has this feature (kinda) and handles it well is the Frostbite 2 engine. Yet, the reason we may not see it as performance heavy is due to how small the maps are in the Battlefield Franchise. -
The sole reason they are doing this, is because IRL you aren't gonna have a pitch black area around your scope. And yes IRL you can focus your eyes outside of the scope, but you know how hard that would be to code in? They would have to make a whole new system to support the focusing AKA Depth of Field. Plus, I haven't found a game yet that has a good looking and noticeable DoF without having a lag while focusing. It's really too much work and too small in my opinion to worry about it.

And just to be clear, the bullet drop is also affected by the amount of gun powder or "Grain" in the cartridge. It's not always determined by the length of the initial round. -

Let's go back to some of Dean Hall's Devblogs. "I really would like authenticity, rather than realism." This is why this idea will probably never be in the game. Yes, IRL if you change sights, you will most likely have to sight it in (not zero, thats a different terminology). Although, that's real life, not DayZ. Dean wants authenticity...AUTHENTICITY. While I praise you for this idea as it holds good potential for games that require it. DayZ is not one of them. -

Ok, first off, How did you figure that suppressors' main function was to hide muzzle flash when we have a certain piece of equipment called a Flash Hider. Hmm? The flash hider's job is pretty self explanatory and the suppressor decreases the sound traveling behind the round. Make suppressors so they don't silence guns? That defies their sole purpose of being invented. Might as well replace silencers with flash hiders. I do agree with increased gun sounds and let them have a travel distance. But the suppressor bit makes me think you know nothing of the such. -

The hotbar wont show up unless you interact with it. So as long as no one is talking, your screen will have no visual hud
