The ARMA engines cater to intel and nvidia products. It'll also help if you tell us what i5 you have, what it's clocked at, and if it's locked or unlocked. -
I hope we eventually get to chamber-load weapons with detachable magazines. Battlefield 4 shows this neatly. Gun is empty. Pop and mag in and release the bolt, 1 round in the chamber. Pull the mag out, pop a new one in. 31 rounds total (considering it has a 30rnd capacity.)

You're asking a small team of developers, who have built a game from the ground up non-stop for the past year, who have traveled all over Europe trying to remake the map, doing MoCap, interviews, and a lot of other events to make more progress when the game has only been out for 2 months? I am actually quite happy with their current progress. In all honesty, I feel Dean really needs a huge break. I mean, he was away from his home for a good 80% of the game's development. I hate it how people got mad at the guy just for taking a break during Christmas. People need to learn he's not a computer that can run for as long as people want him to. He's a human being. Give the guy a rest and be glad he didn't abandon the damn game half way through. -
Dean has seldom made references to putting a prison in the map. He emphasized putting it on Utes.

M4 variants are sold and distributed all across the globe. Why would you do this? M4s, having the A2 uppers, have terrible semi-auto trigger pull. The M4A1 we have has an A4 upper with a M16A1 selector. This gives it a much much smoother semi-auto trigger pull and full-auto. This "ultra-realism" is getting a bit out of hand. Who cares if they would find more M4 models versus its much better performing M4A1 counterpart.
-
Some of this stuff is so realistic that it would diminish authenticity and make the game a pain to play.

If the guns' accuracy works like Arma II, there is no ADS/Hipfire spread. The way it's done in arma is the projectile is shot parallel with the guns actual model and spreads up down left or right depending on the dispersion ration. The way BF4 and COD do it is, if your gun is ADS, your accuracy is 0.001. If your gun is Hipfiring, your accuracy is 0.1.

I'll be honest, if I were to find a random syringe not packed in the plastic sealed packaging that you buy it in, I wouldn't dare use it. I feel syringes and needles should be separate in packaging or unpackaged. The unpackaged versions will risk you in getting a viral infection unless THOROUGHLY cleaned and disinfected.

Seen lots of these at my local range. They are supposedly the best stock for any M4 variant. I personally haven't tried shooting with one of these attached but I'm see if I can get my buddy to lend his to me. Would seem like a nice stock. Definitely would love to see this in game but only if it's very rare.

Remove weapon inaccuracy due to damage.

Oh my, you don't understand at all. You think I'd actually run then immediately start shooting? No no no no... I had a good 5 minute rest before shooting. I highly suggest you gather correct information before accusing me. And no, the wobbling doesn't affect your shot. it affects your ability to keep the barrel still. Factors that affect your shot are rifling, wind, barrel length, etc.. Oh and btw, you misunderstood what I said (as I expected since you butchered my post to mislead what I said). I ran up from the base near Kamenka to NWAF and gathered all that stuff for the M4A1. I never said I ran then started shooting. For that, I feel you need to go back to primary school and learn a tad bit more on Reading Comprehension. If this doesn't satisfy you, then here is EXACTLY what you cut out: "through the base north of Kamenka, Zelenogorsk, and North West Airfield, I had a M4A1 with full magpul (all pristine) stock carry handle sights (pristine) and a bipod (pristine)." That's quite a bit... Next time, when you try to prove someone wrong, make sure you include everything they said.. -
Only if your ear is less than 4 feet from the outer edge if the muzzle, I don't see how this could be realistic. If my hearing dims out or goes away for a certain amount of time from shooting my own rifle, I'll gladly not use any firearms. It just wouldn't be worth it.
-
I dare the game to use the rest of the 80% of my GPU. I dare it. This is very plausible considering at the moment, the game only utilizes 20% of your GPU, but like 80% of your CPU. Once we hit Beta and everything is balanced out and optimized, I see no problem with this.

Remove weapon inaccuracy due to damage.
SFRGaming replied to [email protected]'s topic in Suggestions
There needs to be a forum rule where people are no longer allowed to say shit like "Well, if you have no proper training then..." Please just stop reiterating a phrase that has been said and ignored/shot down for the past month. If you want true realism then go outside. Dean said he's shooting for authenticity, not for giving us survivors that can't even shoot one of the most user-friendly rifles ever made. And I'm just going to add onto this. There are no factors that affect your shot currently. Hell, the survivor even lines up the sights perfectly. So no, the inaccuracy isn't from mis-alligned sights. The weapons are inaccurate because they have the accuracy of a grease gun. After a run through the base north of Kamenka, Zelenogorsk, and North West Airfield, I had a M4A1 with full magpul (all pristine) stock carry handle sights (pristine) and a bipod (pristine). I sat in a field newt to a town with a few Z's inside and marked out about 200m. I was prone with the bipod deployed and it took 3 shots to kill the first Z, the first 2 shots landing about 20m past the Z about 3-4m to the left and up. Next Z took 4 shots, the first 3 missing and landing in a scatter. I can go ahead and tell you the set accuracy of the M4A1 is wrong. Standing IRL I can hit a 300m target with an AR-15 (mind you I have had no military training), so why am I easily missing Z's at 200m? I think the answer is pretty simple... -
Ear plugs for firing guns or else you get a loud ringing in your ears

Yes you can. Jesus I think we have a safety freak here. -
Ear plugs for firing guns or else you get a loud ringing in your ears
SFRGaming replied to joeymp's topic in Suggestions
Moderately sized assault rifles don't leave a ringing in your ears just by firing it. If it did, they wouldn't be used IRL. I have been on a firing line with 20 other people and no ear plugs and I could hear just fine. Now, I would like to have ear plugs for the sake of why not. But, if my ears started ringing after firing one shot, I would stick to melee. -

Let me make this as simple as can be.... NO -
I still think you would need tools along with this. It also should have a decent timer on it. in fallout you can repair items in a split second. DayZ, if it were to have this, should take MUCH longer

This is a small idea that could go well with the upcoming development of base building. Say you have a group of friends in one base and one day you get shot at by a bandit. You make it back to base and put up on the bulletin board his Description, what he did, and possibly his name. Your friends, when they log on (say you're offline at the time), can now go search for him and seek revenge. This could also go well with wanted posters. Make a note that I'm not saying they walk up to it and accept it as a quest. It's just they can go read it and it's more of a "Do on your own at your discretion" kind of deal.

Gun shop or other type of building that are missing.

Would people stop pulling shit out of their ass. 99.99999%? You know there are SEVERAL countries that allow you to own weapons. Notice they may not allow you AR-15's like America does, but you can still own simple bolt action rifles and handguns. -
I thought you actually couldn't do this? I swear I heard Dean himself during a livestream say he couldn't calculate taking damage for items on the ground since it would create performance issues.
