My PC runs DayZ SA from 50-70 FPS in forests. I'll get around 30-40 in cities.

You have to remember in the mod, Dean didn't add in every single weapon. Majority of the weapons were already in game. Granted Dean made a small amount of guns, but his options were to use the existing guns, or remake new ones from scratch. Keep in mind ARMA 2 is a Mil SIm, and the weapons are going to be military grade. Dean wants to get away from this in SA, he'd rather a WInchester 1866 than a FAMAS. Trust me.

Watch it and weep. Marines are required to hit 500m targets with the M4A1, so I really don't see why you think it's impossible. -

I do so every other weekend and it it's not hard. Granted I have only used iron sights up to 300m (haven't tried anything past that). The effective range of the standard M4A1 is around 500m, so obviously it hard to consistently hit the target to record how lethal the round is. People really need to top posting with little-to-no experience. -

I attend AR-15 matches every other weekend, and while I'm no Expert Shooter, I can say it's not difficult for the M4 to get a really nice grouping @ 300m, at least for me. The game does not represent the M4A1 as it should.

Probably, but remember that Dean is going to be doing a whole revamp to the RV engine's graphics. He will most likely add dual/tri/quad gpu support, DX11, etc..

Please stop with this "These survivors have no training, they can't do this, that, or the other" BS I'm seeing a LOT of. If you wanna get THAT realistic, then how about we take away the survivor's ability to insert an IV. Because without thorough medical training, you will not be able to stick an IV in your VEIN (not artery which can be easily mistaken for) efficiently without cause sever damage and/or bleeding.

You get the idea of what I was implying. All of my settings are maxed. Wow, that's exactly the same as my old setup. The 3570k is a wonderful chip. One of Intel's best. Great board too. -

I can't be any happier with the performance we are seeing in an UNOPTIMIZED ALPHA. One thing I'd like to see is huge optimization in rendering large-scale building and their interiors. But, I have done a little poking around and from what I have seen for this new patch coming to stable this wednesday, they have done a bit of magic with fixing said problems.
